I also recently had a massage with their one and only masseuse (I forget her name) and it was a wonderfully relaxing experience. She was able to help me with some trouble spots and provide guidance on how to manage those areas going forward. You can tell she is extremely knowledgeable in her area of expertise. You will have to book both services well in advance or happen to catch a last minute opening because both have a loyal following and are extremely popular! I gave feedback twice to the therapist during the appt asking for deeper work but it was not on par with other massages I've received. (I explained to her that I was a licensed physical therapist and former professional dancer and was used to/needed deep tissue work.) The hair blowout with Pam was excellent. I would recommend her highly. Front Desk was lacking in communication, accuracy and customer service skills. The massage therapist said she was told a different time from what was confirmed to me. (I was confirmed for a 2:15 start time and massage didn't begin till 2:40. (my blowout appt was booked for 3:15) I was then given a 45 min. hands on massage but was charged the full hour at deep tissue rates. (their website states this: Deep Tissue Massage $85 / 60 minutes Yes-according to the clock in the massage room, I was worked on-hands on- from 2:40pm-3:25pm which in anyone's books is 45 minutes. The therapist had the audacity to stand there when I was paying and said she gave 50 minutes "on the table" which was bogus. And since the website stated 60min massage not 50 min. that was also deceptive. I had neither the time nor interest in arguing. Given that the front desk was aware that the appt started late and ended early (as I asked several times if the therapist was ready for my appt) they should have issued a discount which I requested, but instead they stood firm on pricing. I will never go back there (and I visit that area often) and have advised my local Jersey friends to stay away far from this establishment.

The spa is situated in the rooms of an old Victorian house and has a homey feel. Jen gave the best massage I've ever had, 5 stars! She also provided too-vigorous shoulder and foot massages which I had to ask her to stop. Overall this facial experience was 2 stars. Mani pedi was lovely and relaxing with Hilda, also a 5 star experience. There are no shower or locker room facilities, but I was given a robe and a tote for my stay. The facial and nail services also include hefty doses massage, so I'd ask the massage therapist to skip those areas and focus on shoulders or back instead to maximize your massage minutes!
