My fiancé and I got engaged in Jan 2019 and after venue shopping and planning, we were referred to Yvette in May 2019. At the time, we decided to not do a pop up since we ended up deciding to do a wedding on a cruise in 2020. Well obviously that fell apart thanks to the pandemic! Yvette was there to save the day! We were hoping things would get better in 2020 but COVID cases kept rising so we said screw it, let's do the pop up wedding! And we are SO happy that we did! We didn't want to do a huge party and spend thousands on a wedding but we got the upscale wedding look for so much less. Yvette and her team were offering these COVID packages (see their Instagram to see if still on going) and we had an officiant, seating for 25, cake, photographer venue and decorations all for under $2000. My family was worried that since we were spending significantly less than the average wedding cost that it wouldn't be as nice. In fact, we were criticized prior to the wedding, but then the day of the wedding arrived and they were in awe. It was so romantic and beautiful. Yvette and her team added flowers, candles and just made the night so magical. The cake was delicious and over all the experience was dreamy and magical. Pop Up Weddings Houston also go beyond the pop up wedding bookings. Yvette does weddings of all sizes! They actually do wedding give aways on their instagram so check it out if you're recently engaged! They also work with vendors/partners who provide live streaming services, photo booths and more! The premarital work we did with him 6 months prior to our big day made our day [and our relationship] that more special. By the time our wedding day rolled around Thomas knew us extremely well and was able to officiate the wedding with a level of comfort and professionalism that we will always look back on with awe. Thomas was amazing! The moment we met him (interviewing him) we knew he was the counselor for us. He is real, honest, and kind. We were looking for someone who could talk about real life issues and situations that might come up and Thomas always had a great example to help explain the best way to work through those issues. Our favorite quote from him is "This issue will always be existent in your marriage and it's how you communicate and work through it that will keep your marriage together and successful." Those words were so comforting because it isn't about changing someone, it's about loving them for who they are and how to work through issues. Every marriage will have issues and people are stubborn and stuck in their ways (especially us), and Thomas helps your recognize when those issues fester up and create a way to work through them. Thomas provides you with tools for a successful marriage, they are simple and help you communicate better with other, and honestly that's what it's all about... Communication!!!! Thomas will walk you through a detailed personality test called the Birkman Method. It's goal is to define leading behaviors and perform a personality assessment of an individual. At first we felt apprehensive, but when we sat down with him to go over the results we learned a LOT about ourselves and each other. Well I loved it! We learned so much and from time to time we reflect on our results when we are making decisions and working through issues. It really helps you understand who your partner is and why he/she is the way they are. You think you know now, but wait till you get your results, it's mind blowing! Throughout our counseling (about 8 sessions) we both felt comfortable with Thomas. He was easy to talk to and a fantastic listener. We are thankful for Thomas and the words of wisdom he gave us. On the day of the shoot I dropped her off a little early at the studio 8-27-14. Keep in mind NO MALES are allowed in the studio for the session. I had no problem with that because I wanted to be surprised to see the photos when I get them. They are an all female staff to help ease any resevations you may have and remember no extra bodies are allowed in during the session. This is her time. After wards, I asked my wife how did the photo shoot go? She had nothing but praise about the whole thing. From the time she walked in to the end of the 2 hr shoot. Everyone was very professional. Jill the photographer kept things upbeat and fun for her. They really made her feel special. When I went back to pick her up she was still all dolled up from the session. She looked amazing. Her makeup artist Raquel did a great job. I can't hardly wait to get the photo book she picked out so I can see the photos we should get in 4 to 7 weeks. This was my first ever boudoir photo session so I went in with confidence in her abilities but some…read moredoubt as to mine. We first sat down and discussed all the different albums and packages they offer. I chose a large album, a fold-out pocket sized album, and a digital album for portable devices, all as gifts to my husband. We then went over my outfits and accessories, and decided which sets we'd use. She has about four stylishly furnished bedrooms and a few chaises and settees and I chose my two fav sets. Next we moved on to hair and makeup. I LOVED WHAT SHE DID with it all!!! She has shoes, stockings, etc for rent to finish off any look. I picked some seriously sexy black 7" pumps that I'd never buy for myself, but honestly I can't see any other shoe being as perfect as they were. The actual photo session was so much fun. She has a way of coaching and encouraging, coupled with such vision and inspiration, that I very quickly got lost in the moment and the shoot became an exhilarating, liberating, sultry, beautiful experience. The time flew by so fast. I had one wardrobe change, but already knew I'd be wanting to do this again at some point, with a few more colorful, more risqué outfits. By the time the session ended I was pretty tired and sore from posing just so, but I knew I was going to be pleased with my proofs. Well, "pleased" is not the right word. When I received my gallery of proofs via email to review and select my favorites, I simply couldn't do it. I loved every single shot!! I had my sisters, my aunt, my BFF, and my two adult daughters help me decide. They were stunned speechless by how fantastic the photos all were. I needed to narrow my choices to about 18 photos for the largest album I'd picked out; I never could get it down to less than about 36! In the end I decided to buy the entire digital catalog of photos she took that day. I'm just so proud of how they turned out! And I've already discussed doing another photo shoot with her next year. I give her highest marks and endless thanks for making it a day to remember, and giving me such perfect photos. I'll treasure them always!!
