The best slippers I've ever had in my life. Seriously. (+) Thank you Island Sole! Why wasn't there a store like this before? I remember having to go from T&C to HIC to etc etc etc trying to find the right pair of slippers. Island Sole has all of the major slipper brands--They are bound to have something to suit your feet. (+++) The customer service was like...Nordstrom, except local. It was really cool! Someone immediately came to help me out as soon as I walked in the door. After a brief chat and looking at the pair of Reefs I was wearing, he pointed me towards the Olukai section. He took down pairs of slippers for me to try on, had me walk around, and told me which slippers were good for which activities. I tried on some cork wedges and he said, "Ho! You came tall!" Haha, it was a really fun experience. (+) Regarding the slippers I bought--please please please try on a pair of Olukais. I thought my Reefs (with arch support) were comfortable...but the Olukais totally blew them out of the water. Orthopedic footbed and arch support? Yes please! My feet were in LOVE. Helpful salesguy told me that the designer is a local guy who used to work for Nike. They were totally worth the price I paid for them. They are handstitched leather and are BEAUTIFUL. Overall, awesome customer service, wonderful slipper selection for ladies, guys, AND kids, and a wonderful collection of Olukais! I'm definitely coming back, hopefully to convert BF into an Olukai wearer as well. Buy Local! read more

Being a chef, I always thought my first Yelp review would be about food. As passionate as I am about food I'm also passionate about a great customer experience. This was my first trip to O'ahu and I was looking to upgrade my rainbows. Kayla was there to help me out. She had great product knowledge of the entire store, but most importantly her level of customer service was really what made me want to write this review. She has that aloha spirit that made for a great shopping experience. I was stoked to hear Island Slippers are hand made right there in O'ahu. Kayla mentioned she had a chance to visit the factory and they're still hand stitching all the slippers. Not only are they super comfortable, they have great arch support, and when you wear slippers as much as I do this is huge. I was sold. Now, if you're wondering if I would go back, the answer is yes! I went back to buy three more pairs of the slippers to take home for my family, and yes Kayla was there to provide awesome customer service. I am a die hard Havaianas fan. All my slippers are Havaianas. They are extremely comfy, so soft and cushy! Plus they are simple... and look good with almost anything. Who doesn't love slippers? "flip flops, thongs" whichever you prefer ;] So I basically used my last "neutral" colored pair of Havaianas up til the strap fell out every time I used them, hahahaah. Definitely time for a new pair! I was a little sad because this store didn't have as wide of a selection of the normal wider styled slippers... but they did have a lot of the slimmer style! Matte and shimmery/metallic ones with cute charms or rhinestones on the straps! The only thing is I have wide feet so the skinny slippers don't look too flattering on me. I ended up getting the brazil styled one in gray! I was happy :) & I got my sister the cute skinny style in a shimmery gold. They even have cute charms you can purchase separately to bedazzle your slippers, so I got my sis a cute pink skull! She's gonna love them! The customer service was awesome! The lady was super friendly! Helping me find sizes and giving advice on colors. Very sweet! The prices are a little up there, but average for the brand! The store was clean and easy to navigate. I'll definitely be shopping here more when I need a pair of replacements, or a new color! read more

We had Juana Mae wait on us to purchase a pair of OluKai loafers. Great service and product knowledge. Juanna Mae knew which shoes run big and which ones run small and she was able to help my boyfriend find the right size and right amount of arch support for his feet. They also carry Reefs which I have recently been introduced to. As a dancer, I am always looking for shoes that are nurturing my feet when I am not wearing dance shoes. The Reefs give a litle arch support and are so much more comfortable to walk in and to cool off the doggies after a rehearsal. a great selection of slippers and other sandals. Sanuk is pretty much my favorite brand, and they have a wide variety available. The two guys there, Malkum and Barry were really accomodating, even though I can be a bit picky and difficult sometimes. I really give them thumbs up for the service. I would rather support a local shop than pay a national chain. I think the prices are a bit high though... but my Sanuks lasted two years of daily wear. read more

Terrible customer service. I went in tonight to buy a pair of sandals. The girl behind the register was wrapping up items in bubble wrap for another customer. I understand that she was the only employee in the store, but I was waiting patiently for 10 minutes by the register with sandals in hand--she didn't acknowledge me once. A simple "Sorry, I'll get to you as soon as I can" would have been fine. But she didn't say a thing. Left in frustration and bought the same pair of sandals online from another store. Would love to support local companies, but without "aloha", I might as well buy online. read more

Great selection of shoes and their styles seem to change often. I love Sanuk from Taiwan and they have plenty off them as well. Their prices are actually pretty reasonable compared to some other places on the island or in Waikiki so that's good. Ala Moana gets crowded tho so weekdays are best but the location is really good do you don't have to fight too many crowds. read more
