Well, the customer service at this branch is HARDLY 'legendary'! I had called the customer service line a few weeks ago and inquired on the specific procedure for depositing a two-person check. Not only was I given a specific response by the agent, but I double checked her response to be certain I was clear. However, on June 11th, the branch manager informed me that they could NOT honor my deposit despite what I was told. When I informed the manager that I had been instructed by Corporate Support on the procedure, the manager's response floored me!! And I quote verbatim, "Our Customer Service Department gives out wrong information all the time." To which I responded, "Excuse me?!". And she then repeated herself saying, "As long as I've been working for TD Bank, the Customer Service Department gives out wrong information all the time...". So basically the BRANCH MANAGER is saying that TD Bank employees are not adequately trained!!! I ask you, how can this level of customer service be considered "legendary"???

The bank provided no specific explanation of what transaction or activity caused the decision. The letter only referred generally to federal regulations and "activity in one or more accounts." When a bank makes such a serious decision affecting a long-standing customer, I believe the customer deserves a clear and meaningful explanation. What disappointed me most was the level of service. Instead of someone reviewing the relationship, explaining what happened, or asking for supporting documentation, I received a generic notice stating that the decision was final. I am fully prepared to provide documentation regarding the source and purpose of my funds, including personal and business transactions, but I was never given a meaningful opportunity to do so. For a financial institution of this size, I expected much better communication, transparency, and customer service. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Bank of America to anyone who has significant personal or business banking needs.

There was many other customers that had made appointments so the waiting time was about 30 minutes. I was assisted by Miss Nicole, a very elegant distinguished and knowledgeable banker. She was not only courteous but also very professional. I requested information about the new bank products and my concerns, she helped me and assisted me in a very efficient way.
