Back in the day, this was my go to spot for waxes. I went consistently enough that the place that I would get regularly waxed at, stopped growing hair. That was probably one of the best things about this place besides, they're overall ambience and calm environment. It is also very clean here. I've been to a couple of other places, but this is my regular spot. If for any other reason, I just wanna get like a touchup I would definitely come here and pay the higher price point and get professional service here instead of going somewhere else and paying less but getting subpar service. I visited Cocoon Day Spa in Rockridge for a model lash lift service and it was a great experience. I believe the aesthetician was Susannah and she was training someone new (although I forgot their name unfortunately). The service was thorough and I thought they took their time to make sure my lashes looked nice. I will say I did expect a little more information on the different steps during the service or some aftercare instructions. Regardless, I was happy with my lash lift and the results were better than expected. While I have visited this spa for occasional massages and facials in the past, I'd consider returning for lash services in the future. Customer service was friendly and attentive and the spa is cozy and modern. The check in and check out process was easy and efficient. The location is convenient and easy to find. There is street parking available but this can vary depending on when you go. Alternatively, you can also park on a nearby street and walk over. They have a cute waiting area with tea and chocolates, making you feel really comfortable. Now, as someone who does Brazilian waxes, it is a hit or miss. The first time I went, my waxed was Rhiana. This girl was AMAZING. She is so easy to talk to and she literally got EVERYTHING off. And she would switch between soft and hard wax depending on how sensitive the area is. My mistake was assuming every waxer was like her. I have had 3-4 different waxers since then and non of them do nearly as well. While they are nice, they are quick to try and get you out. I have always had to finish the rest at home or go to another waxer. It makes it not worth the money. So honestly, it's a 50/50 with the waxers. Overall, I think I will be looking for a new place for Brazilian waxing. The quality can be a hit or miss, but the people are nice. read more

I came here to get a facial in preparation for my wedding. Such a cute space, very clean, organized and aesthetically pleasing. Vivian was my facial specialist and took such amazing care of me. I haven't gotten a facial since pre-pandemic, so my skin was in dire need of some extra TLC. I normally have dry, sensitive skin and Vivian was made aware of that. The whole experience was fabulous from start to finish! My skin felt so nourished, luxurious and glowy afterwards. Today, my friend and I had scheduled facials. The neighborhood is really cute with lots of places to eat afterward. We are ecstatic with our facial results. When you make an appointment online it does ask for your credit card information. Nothing is charged until date of your session. Try to get there a bit early there is only street meter parking. Upon arrival we were quickly checked in and offered Prosecco with chocolates. I had a cleansing, extraction ( I will be honest this does hurt), hydration mist, and light chemical peel. My skin is prone to redness from rosacea. My technician made sure to address my skin sensitivity. After my treatment my face was just slightly red (but felt fine) glistening, and hydrated. The products they use smell amazing and feel buttery soft on your skin. I was going to be on a work trip in the area and my friend/coworker and I decided to schedule facials at this establishment. I scheduled a customizable facial with Kelly. The spa is located in a gentrified area that looks very cute. The inside of the spa is beautiful and relaxing. While I must say this was one of the best facials I've ever had, I want to stress that you communicate with your esthetician to make sure you are both on the same page about your treatment. As I mentioned, I was on a work trip dealing with many people; I told Kelly this and she told me I would not have any down time with the service I was getting. Unfortunately that was not the case and I'm not sure that I was clear that I would be dealing with many different people within the next few days. After our facial, we walked down the street to grab dinner and maybe two hours later, I began to feel my face feel hot and a burning sensation. When I looked in the mirror, I saw all the redness and I knew I was in trouble. I'm not sure if the "subtle chemical peel" that was not so subtle caused the issue but by the next morning, certain parts of my face had developed scabs. I had to cake on makeup to cover the scabs while I worked everyday, but by afternoon, my chin area would begin cracking from the scabs/talking and the excessive buildup of makeup to hide the scabs and I was trying to coverup again. My skin issues really put a damper on my work trip. By the fifth day, my skin was glowing but I was home by then. I would have done this service on the last day of my work trip had I known of the outcome. I am happy with the result of my facial and continue saying that this is one of the best facials I've had, I just recommend that you talk to your esthetician clearly about the type of service/results you want. read more

The inside is cute with a lounge areas water, and they had chocolates! I booked a 90 min deep tissue massage and a facial. I had the massage first. I can't remember my massage therapists name but she was just ok. I would give the massage a 3/5 for a deep tissue. I wanted more work on my neck and just didn't feel she went deep enough. After the massage, they told me to move to another room for the facial. I was already undressed and then the therapist realized I had another appointment after and got me a robe and slippers, would've been nicer if they knew that and gave it to me when I checked in. The facial was with Jessica and she was amazing! Super friendly, knowledgeable and asked me questions to get to know my routine. I loved how attentive she was in looking at my skin. I got a 60 min customized facial. My skin felt great after and within the evening my dead skin peeled off gently like a flake. My chin which is normally really greasy had a few zits pop up after the facial, I think the gunk had surfaced from the facial which was great to get out. Id rate my facial more like a 4-5 out of 5. Much better than the massage and would come back! They have lots of products outside and Jessica helped me look for an exfoliant to add to my routine. The total visit was pricey. It was $215 for the facial and $215 for the massage. Id say be prepared to pay top dollar. The facial was worth it for the price but not the massage. I have had several experiences here at the Rockridge location. Two waxes, a brightening facial, and a brow tint. The lobby and the room (even the bathroom) are very chic and calm simultaneously. Very cute decor and very "instagramable" as some may say. They follow all necessary CDC guidelines for COVID-19 so I felt safe knowing they were safe. The staff is super sweet and helpful and I am already a repeat customer, so l will definitely be back. Brow tinting: I would recommend doing your research of how much you want them to be tinted. What color? Maybe bring a pic of what you expect? I went on a whim like "why not" and hadn't done that research and I dunno what I expected it my brows looked the same after. Maybe had a slight tint. Brielle is a wizard. I have been getting sugared for 15 years and thought I couldn't be surprised by an aesthetician. She removed more hair in less time leaving my skin the least irritated of near any sugaring I have ever had. Usually when I ask for a lip sugar the aesthetician recommends I use soft wax instead because not all of the hairs will come up. Brielle sugared my lip leaving zero hairs behind. I worked with Asia, who was very skilled, knowledgeable, and a great communicator. Hygiene and cleanliness were on point. I felt very well taken care of. I was very pleased with the high quality of the products that were used and the equipment was state-of-the-art. I felt like the facial did wonders for my skin, which had been deprived of professional help for a long while. Asia was really the best. I give her five stars. The space is clean, spacious & they are VERY COVID-conscious. I give four stars because there was a pretty strong scent of something that I'm sure is meant to be pleasant, but was mildly irritating to me. I have some environmental sensitivities and I prefer scent free environments. Since I was planning on this, I made sure to be prepared for my visit. I still wasn't sure what to expect. I arrived and was greeted by Kim, who broke it down in a funny way and made me feel comfortable with how to pose. She was about to get all personal, so it was nice to break the ice beforehand. I went for a natural look, which at first looked a little reddish but the color is still settling in.
