This update is just regards to the dip/powder manicures. I just can't seem to catch a rhythm with them on it. First, they don't do the massage of any kind with this service. No hot towel, no lotion. It's real bare bones. Previously, the woman who did dip/powder was so grumpy. She's not there anymore, but this recent time still, no sort of pampering with this service. And, to add to it, this time around, the woman didn't even cut cuticles or hang nails. And the polish didn't cover the full nail making the grow out that much quicker. The part she did was fine, but overall, it could have been better. Seemingly the move is regular/gel mani & pedi. I probably wouldn't do dip/powder again, here. read more

Clean and nice nail salon in Elmwood! I called ahead but I could've walked in though they were already so busy (10:30am on a Wednesday). I didn't wait long at all. I got a gel mani and the tech was efficient and super nice. They give you gloves when you cure under the UV light and I can only guess it's because whatever setting they use is higher (it almost hurt... lol) but I like that they give you plenty of time so I feel like the gel is super set and will last! The tech really took her time with painting, which I really appreciated! She gave me a shoulder/neck massage as an added bonus. The gel mani was $35 before tip. So reasonable and a decent job! Definitely recommend checking this place out and I'll for sure be back to try all the other colors :) read more

Judge the place based off my nails I got done YESTERDAY - drastically bad talent for $75. They need practice... I've literally never gotten my nails done - & appear as though they need a fill already... My partner who knows nothing about nails said "they look too high." HAHA. If they charge extra to cut cuticle then they should have nerve to ask cause we're their customers... Very much not sorry for the harsh rating, but wow, I can't believe that I paid so much $ for the shit job... I'm going to try another salon down the block!!! ‍ read more

My go to spot for a girl date w/ my sister in law. They take ressies and are always prompt to seat us. Lots of colors to choose from and everyone is nice. My pedi lasts quite a while without chipping compared to other spots. The nail shaping is also on point. Prices are fair. read more

It was my first time here. I walked in and was accommodated almost immediately. Everyone was very friendly. It was a clean establishment. I had the pleasure of working with Julie who was detail oriented. I got a gel French manicure. It was reasonably priced. I will definitely be back! They also do a short shoulder, neck and arm massage at the end of your nails. I was suprised by this, but it was enjoyable. read more

The workers are very nice , and the space is accommodating despite how busy it can get near a college campus. However I DO NOT recommend to get gel x services done here. I got my nails done Friday 20th, by the 22nd my thumb nail completely came off, & today (the 29th) my pinkie nail fell off. Both times happened with something as simple as putting groceries away (didn't smash my nail or anything). Typically my gel x nails last a full 4-5 weeks until my next apt when done at nearby shops. I paid $85 for this set and am completely disappointed. read more

My new favorite nail salon. Really big selection of colors. I walked in without and appointment and they took me right in for a gel manicure paid and eyebrow wax. Based on the customers seems like a lot of regulars go there and I can definitely see why. Did I mention the huge selection of colors? Also very reasonably priced. I usually get my nails done on the Peninsula so this was a really pleasant surprise when I got the bill read more

came as a walk in, they were pretty busy so we had to put our names down and wait around 45ish minutes which isn't too bad!! got 2 pedicures and it was soooo affordable & well worth the price. they offer a wide range of colors to choose from and different tiers for pedicures. the technicians really take their time to give you the best service and they have amazing massage chairs to sit in while you get the pedicure. i also saw some people getting a little shoulder massage for manicures. if you pay in cash you get a little discount. i would def come again read more

Tried to set up a manipedi. After about five minutes of "what? A what?" the person working at a mani/pedi place understood what someone asking for a mani/pedi might need a mani/pedi, at which point they refused to sell services or make an appointment since the "boss is at a doctor's appointment until tomorrow. Call back tomorrow!" So a great place if you want to explain their business to them and also do not want to be able to purchase services or make an appointment (or, unsurprisingly but for full disclosure, gift). Seems terrible if you want a mani/pedi. Maybe great if you just like having your time wasted on a phone call. read more

My favorite nail salon. The employees are so sweet, the place is clean and well ventilated, and I have received excellent mani-pedis as well as wonderful massage. Some of the technicians are better than others. My favorites are Jennie, Lisa, Linn, and Amy. The prices are really low. read more

Ladies are very very kind but unfortunately my manicure was botched. As soon as I got home I had to refile my nails because they were so sloppy and uneven, which was a big disappointment. Even my boyfriend noticed on ft that they looked bad. They don't paint down to your cuticle and immediately look grown out. I would avoid for manicure! read more

I was able to get an appointment on very short notice. Tina, was extremely detail oriented and gave me the best French tip I've had in a long time. I'm super picky about the base color as I like it on the pinker side and she let me try a few colors to decide. She also gave a really good massage. read more

If you want your hands to burn, go here. My manicure is extremely chunky and has peeled after two days of going here. I also didn't even receive a massage even though everyone around me was getting one. Versailles Nail Salon is AMAZING! I called last minute and they had availability for a Mani Pedi and now I know why- they have about twenty nail artists at the ready! My Mani Pedi - no gel - cost $45 not including tip and that included a complimentary massage. Typically at nail salons, the massage is just calves and lower arms / hands but they also massaged the rest of my arms and neck! If you love strong hands, ask for V. My nails came out great and I'm thankful they could fit me in at short notice before a long week ahead! read more

I never like to leave bad reviews but I had Horrible experience getting a pedicure on Valentine's Day . Came in and asked if they had availability qnd said I didn't mind waiting since they were busy and they quickly rushed me to a chair to only have someone come and pretend to do a pedicure on me. Didn't even clean my nails for more than 3 mins and then was done within like 10 minutes of the pedicure. I stopped her at the polish and decided to leave. They charged me 30 dollars to just wet my toes. read more

Despite the bad reviews on the acrylics nails, I decided to give this place a shot. I regret my decision immediately after. I went in for a fill and a pedicure which came out to a total of $68. Pros: staff is super sweet and friendly. Cons: they work too quickly and are not detail oriented when doing nails. The owner is the only one who handles acrylics nails. The whole time while she was doing my fill she was handling other customers and answered 6 phone calls while doing my nails. Not to mention that it felt extremely rushed and the outcome was bad. The photo doesn't show the minute details but she filed my nails after applying color and unevenly applied the nail polish which makes it appear lumpy in person. I would recommend going to another nail shop if you're looking to do acrylics. read more

My first time here and all I wanted was for them to remove my previous nail polish. They left my hands in acetone down to almost my rings for too long and then one of the ladies threw a piece of cotton at me and told me to remove my nail polish. I actually started to do so thinking someone was coming to finish the job, but no one came. So I got up and left because I was not going to pay $15+ to remove my own nail polish while leaving my hands looking crusty and worse than before. Never coming here again. This place is quite busy so definitely call ahead to get an appointment. I'm a nail newbie so I don't have a very sophisticated judgement for nail salons but overall I think this place is good and I would return. They seem to have some kind of system where they charge you extra per finger that you have a design on. I ended up paying $60 for refill with 4 "fancy fingers" (2 on each hand). The tech who did my nails was very nice and when I pointed out some changes I wanted she was very accommodating. She even added her own artistic flair to the other fingers which turned out very cute! They will give you a small discount for cash and tips should be in cash also I think. Would recommend! read more

Ive been coming to Versailles nails every 2 weeks for the past 3 years. I regularly get gel mani pedi on natural nails. I could not recommend this salon more! Loanne gets me together everytime!!! The vibes of the salon are always friendly and fun as well, all the nail techs are always smiling and laughing! I was told about this place by a few different friends. They do such a good job with gel manicure. They listen and will redo it if it's not correct. I had my nail chip a week after I went there, I was going to pay for it again because it was my fault it chipped. They took all my gel nail color off, asked me if I wanted to change the color( which I didn't because I had just gotten that color) they redid it all and said don't worry about it. Both times I just walked in and I was greeted by such kind staff! Everyone here is pleasant and professional. 5 Stars for cleanliness 5 Stars for customer service 5 stars for great management 5 stars for large number of staff & decor I was seated right away and they do 100 little things for you. Quyên turned on my massage chair and changed it to different settings throughout my pedicure. She is a perfectionist, so she gave me the perfect gel pedicure. I've been coming here for years now, the best place to get a pedicure. All the girls are great, they do a really thorough job on your cuticles so your pedicure stays looking fresh for longer. In between I usually do a foot peel mask from Target to keep my soles smooth, absolute game changer. I broke a toenail in Miami and was panicking bc I thought I would be forced to cancel my summer but thankfully Stacey saved the day with putting powder on, in the meantime it grows out. read more

Fantastic pedicure with an enormous selection of polish. I recommend adding on a manicure even if you don't want polish - you get a wonderful arm, neck and shoulder massage with the manicure. The ambiance is professional, casual and down-to-business - no froufrou. read more

The woman doing my nails kept calling other staff members over to look at my toes and they would laugh right in front of me. It got to the point where other customers were staring too, drawn over by how much attention the workers were making of it. You don't need to speak the same language to know when you're being ridiculed. I play soccer, so my toenails take a beating, and I have a medical condition that makes my nails especially prone to breaking. None of that should matter. When you pay for a salon service, you're paying to feel cared for and comfortable, not to be made the subject of ridicule by the entire staff. This wasn't my first time noticing their behavior, but I had always let it go. Today was too much. I sat through the whole appointment, paid in full, and on my way out told the one male worker (the only person who had the decency not to laugh) how unprofessional the whole experience was. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

And yet, my experience today left me feeling completely awful and I won't be coming back. I've spent thousands of dollars a this place over the years - have also brought in my daughters. Today, when picking my color, I accidentally knocked over another color bottle with my jacket. I felt horrible and apologized immediately. The woman at the front desk was kind and immediately started cleaning it up. I felt really bad. In any case, when it was time to check out, my total bill after being there for 2.5 hours was $170. Then the receptionist asked to me also pay $13.50 for the color that I broke. I don't mind the $13 - but I think it's a terrible business decision. I won't be coming back. 1) I think that it's just poor judgement to ask your loyal customer to pay for an accident especially when honestly it's not that much money and 2) much worst, the owner who was there and left just a minute before I checked out, was too scared to ask me herself and instead put it on an employee - I thought that it was such a poor move. It's totally unfair to the employee to be put in this position - she immediately became defensive and said that it wasn't her - but the owner who is requesting the payment. The whole situation left such a bad taste in my mouth - I really don't like it when employees get treated this way. It's so unfortunate that this occurred. And I used to really like the place.

Dina, the owner, sat me in the second chair, but I ended up waiting about 20-30 minutes before being serviced. That was a little frustrating because they were not actually ready, and I would have preferred they were upfront about the wait instead of seating me immediately. I decided to look past it, stayed on my phone, and asked for the massage chair to be turned on while I waited. During my appointment, Dina removed my acrylics and commented negatively about the person who previously did my nails. I jokingly asked if she could do better, and she confidently said yes. I laughed and responded, "We'll see." I was also upfront and told her that if I came back, it meant I liked the service and if I didn't, then that would speak for itself. I got a white-tip deluxe pedicure, and while another employee worked on my nails, I continued talking with Dina. During the conversation, she asked if I knew someone named Joy. When I said no, she responded with something along the lines of, "You're not from the hood." That comment immediately made me uncomfortable because I viewed it as a microaggression rooted in stereotypes. I responded by saying, "That's crazy, why would you think that? I could be from the suburbs." After that, she laughed with another staff member and spoke in her native language. Later that day, after reflecting on the interaction, I realized I really wished I had addressed it more directly in the moment and told her that the comment was inappropriate. There were also other moments during the conversation including her reaction to finding out I was married that gave me the impression that I was not fitting whatever stereotype or perception she had in mind about Black women. That is something I think many Black people in America would understand without needing much explanation. Overall, I will not be returning. Between the unnecessary wait, the service not meeting my standards, and my uncomfortable interaction with Dina, this experience left a negative impression on me. The pedicure itself was not impressive enough to overlook the experience, and overall this place fell short in both professionalism and customer service. I've had much better experiences elsewhere, and I hope Dina takes this review as an opportunity to reflect on how her comments come across to clients moving forward.

Sanitation is a big deal to me. I had a hard time finding a salon in my last neighborhood that followed proper sanitary procedures, and this place was such a relief. They clearly take sanitation seriously, and I always feel comfortable coming here. I have also had great pedicure experiences, and the barber and hair side of the salon is impressive to watch. Fast, precise, and everyone leaves looking great. Writing this review feels risky because I want to keep my appointments, but this salon deserves the love!! That said, expect to be "squeezed in," cause I had to wait about 30-40 mins after arriving to actually be seen. But, still appreciated them taking me. I came in for a gel manicure on my natural nails, but 1 finger was chipped. I asked if they could do a single extension, they recommended to use builder gel instead. At first, it looked fine, but after it cured, it was noticeably thick and not shaped very well. As a result this one fell off after a week. I also tried to point out that the shaping on my nails looked inconsistent from one finger to the next. The technician told me it was just because my finger widths are different & it's impossible to make them look the same. I understand that natural nails are harder to make uniform (compared to extensions), but I was disappointed with the lack of effort. The gel manicure itself was okay. I got a pink color with chrome powder, it lasted about two weeks. Overall, for around $50, I feel like you get what you pay for. It wasn't a terrible experience, but the attention to detail, especially with the shaping and the builder gel, was lacking. The service was friendly though, and you get a stamp card for every visit.
