Amazing first time experience! I walked in for a gel manicure and pedi and was seating within three minutes. I was paired with a technician named Donnie. She was amazing. Not only was she hilarious and personable she did the job exceptionally well. I received the candle wax pedicure. The massage was nothing like I experienced before. She actually took her time and massages my legs like I've never had before. I messed up my pedicure on the way to the restroom and when I told her it was a no sweat. In fact we made several jokes about it during my visit. My manicure was more than I could ask for. At the end she did notice a bit of polish on my cuticle, she wanted to fix it but I wasn't bothered. I have never enjoyed myself so much in a nail salon. Kudos to Donnie for being the first technician ever to not make you feel uncomfortable! read more

This place appeals to the eye because of the lovely Decor but that is all it's worth! The customer service is HORRIBLE! I had an appointment to get my eyebrows done and waited 45 mins. The owner kept telling me that his wife was almost done and would be right with me! That was not the cause. She showed no concern or respect for my time so I left. Another time I went to get a pedicure I waited about 40 mins and no one even acknowledged that I patiently waited. I started to go there because of Tom, when he left I would ask about him and they lied for like a year saying he was vacation when in reality he no longer worked there. Asked abt my nails, was told all the staff went home....WAIT, WHAT? Why tell me you can do this and then say no AFTER my pedi? Then you proceed to tell me, you can do a rush short nail job. WHAT? A few people from my office recommended Cocoon for nails. I usually drive out to Dr. Phillips to go to DP Nails but it is 30 minutes from Clermont and they are closed Sundays. I needed to get a manicure this weekend because my previous gel mani from DP was growing out (it lasted 3 weeks). So I walked into Cocoon for the first time. The wait was less than 30 minutes and then a man working there, Son, started the process for removing my gel. They were wrapped in foil (as usual) and I started the wait for the gel to soften. After several minutes Helen asked if I minded switching to her station, I believe Son had an appointment. Helen removed my gel so roughly! As she scraped off a lot of my previous dark color, she was scraping my skin. It was painful but I didn't say anything. There was still dark lines around the edges from the previous color. I pointed out that she missed a lot of the color and she assured me that I wouldn't be able to notice in the end. She was very rough on my cuticles and missed a lot, I asked her to go back to the spots she missed and she said she "didnt want to hurt me." Cuticle removal shouldn't hurt if done properly. She did the first coat of the pale pink gel that I picked out and the black edges from previous color showed through. I mentioned it and she again assured me that after a couple coats I wouldn't see it. After 3 coats the black edges still showed through and I told her I was unhappy with it. She kept filing down that part and adding more coats, I have about 5-6 coats on some nails which cause it to look lumpy. The dark edges never were taken care of so it looks like I have dirt around my nails which is embarrassing. This was probably the worst manicure I have ever gotten. At checkout I told the cashier it was terrible and she got Son, he apologized and took $5 off my bill bringing it from $27 to $22. Then he gave me a $5 coupon for next time and told me to make an appointment with him because he will make sure I get a great job. I don't see myself ever going back there, Son was very nice but Helen did the worst job ever. I want to go back to DP Nails this week to get it corrected but then I will be paying for 2 manis in one week! read more

By far my favorite nail salon in Clermont! Everyone is very clean and the staff is so welcoming! I have been going consistently for over a year now and love it! The candle pedicure is the way to go for sure and all of the nail technicians are great! My favorites are Sulan and Tami. A tip I would give when visiting is to book an appointment. They get very busy so sometimes being a walk in can take a bit but I always make sure to book an appointment and never have to wait! read more

I requested from my friends to identify good nail salons in Clermont as I needed them done last minute. I heard of cocoon and saw a product of one friends nails and felt they would do well. I went in and saw Helen. She was so nice and friendly. I was provided with 3 boards of nail polishes to choose from. I asked for "006". She came back with a color that was not "006." Shortly after she comes back with another, but this time not showing me though I could tell it was pink, but she didn't actually show me. She completes one nail and I advised it was not the correct color. She then proceeds to tell me once it is done, it will be lighter and good. She completed my entire hand. The most awful looking color, not even the way it looks in the container. I told her this was not what I asked for. She showed me to the boards. She advised that I needed to specify what polish company I wanted, with the #. No one ever told me this prior to sitting down with Helen. I said I'm sorry, I was only provided with 3 boards, none of the others had "006,06 or 6." Needless to say, she became annoyed. She redid my one hand, all crooked nails, not filed down, sides were awful and holding over my skin and to top it off. She cut 5 of my 10 cuticles to the point of bleeding on each one. The worst part, she left the blood under the top coat!!! I reached out to the boss to let them know prior to leaving a review. Maybe they would rectify it. They told me to come in and ask for 2 specific people. I asked if I needed an appt. They said no, just come in and we will give you $25 off. ($25 off, not even offering to fix them for free after I showed them proof through photos). Anyhow, I did go in the next day. And was turned away!!!!!!! Told me to come back next week when they aren't busy!!!!! Poor customer service. Awful to spend the money we do on getting our nails done for things like this to happen. I live about 30 minutes away from here and it is worth the drive because it is the best salon around!!! They have at least 12 pedicure chairs and just as many ( if not more )nail stations and all of them are in use most times. Everyone here is extremely talented and friendly. They have the newest colors, trends, and services and are affordable. They are very clean and use liners for the pedis and disposable buffers for the manicures. The cleanest salon I have ever been to. They are usually busy but they take their time and care about each customer and talk to you during your service here,you are treated like a person and not a number here. I get pedicures and DIP nails done here all the time and have been coming here for a few years now. Believe me, no other salon in Clermont or Davenport comes close to the amount of skill and professional look that this place does. I recommend the milk and honey pedicure or candle wax pedicure and the DIP polish on your nails. read more

The worst pink and white fill I have had ever. I asked for square/round corners. The tips of my nails were U shaped. Half of them one side is distinctly longer than the other. I spent $40, and had to stop on my way home to buy a file so I could fix what the tech did. Several of them are triangles and the shape can't be fixed. They are also extremely thick, and the smile lines are terrible. One side of the white barely goes past my fingertip, and the other is halfway to my cuticle. I was told 10-15 minute wait, but I had to wait 50 for a tech that supposedly would do my fill correctly. There is so much pink vs white tip, that it looks like they only filled the pink after letting grow out for weeks. The worst service ever! read more

No respect for their customers time. I have TRIED to have my nails done here 7 times. Every time I go they tell me the wait is 15 minutes, and when I ask how much longer after waiting 30 or more minutes they tell me that the wait is 15 minutes again. I have even tried setting up an appointment. Set up an appointment, arrived 10 minutes early, was told they were running "5-10 minutes behind" waited for an hour before I asked how much longer my wait would be. I was told 20-30 minutes. The girl who does threading does an amazing job however their scheduling system or lack there of is horrendous. Twice it has happened to me that I call ahead, they say to come right it someone is available and then I get there wait 30 minutes and after waiting they say sorry the person is very busy she can't do your threading for another hour! I had the pleasure of getting a great shellac manicure here! I was visiting my MIL and we decided to treat ourselves. Nearly 12 days later my manicure looks pretty darn good! With a party of 3, we came in as a walk-in for pedicures. The facilities are new with a mish-mash of decor, generally not bad. The staff is polite and attentive. My technician did not know the menu so she went to see what the hot stone package included. I should've had a foot soak and 60 minute stone massage however there was no salts in the soak, only water. The massage was only 15 to 20 minutes and was rushed. The stones weren't ready at first but were hot by the time they were needed. read more

I'm new to Clermont. I'm originally from Miami/Fort Lauderdale where nail service professionals treat everyone with respect. I was looking for a nail salon near my new home to get a pedicure and I found this one. When I walked in I was greeted by an older man. I got the impression he did not speak English at all or very well because he motioned for me to sign my name on a legal pad that served as the sign-in sheet. I did. I picked out the polish I wanted and then I sat and waited for the next available person. There were a few ladies before me and several came after me. As I was waiting, a younger woman came to the front and took over for the man. She spoke English fluently. Unlike the others who worked there, she was American. She did an excellent job of greeting and assigning clients to nail technicians as they became available. Because I didn't want to get a manicure, many of the customers who came in after me were taken care of before me. That's fine and understandable. An older lady walked in and the front desk lady greeted her and led her to the restroom after the woman asked for the restroom. The front desk lady returned to the front after having given the woman a brief tour of the place and also after she introduced her to the woman who would tend to her feet. The front desk lady returned. As she was returning, however, the older man who stayed at the front and took over when she was not there, motioned for me to come forward. I came forward. He then told her to send me to the next available nail tech. The lady said no because she had already assigned the woman who went to the restroom. But because I had arrived before that lady, the man insisted that I go before her. Meanwhile I'm just standing there--a little uncomfortable. Finally I say to both of them, "I'm not sure where I should go." The older man motioned to the lady to usher me over. She is visibly upset, but she takes me to the chair where the technician is waiting for the older lady. The nail tech was also visibly upset by me. The woman came out of the restroom and the front desk lady rushed to apologize to her several times. As she had done before, she ignored me. The professional thing to do would have been to apologize to me as well. She could have said, "I'm sorry I didn't realize you were here first." No. Anyway, the nail tech got started. She didn't greet me or say anything to me until she wanted me to move closer. She motioned for me to give her the remote for the chair. When I went to give it to her, it was stuck. So I told her it was stuck. She was annoyed by me and said, "I know it's stuck." She motioned for me to give her the remote. I did. She pressed a button to move the chair closer to her so she could work on my feet. She then asked me, with the same tone, if this was my first time in their establishment. I told her it was my first time. She proceeded on my nails. About five minutes later the chair next to me became available and guess who was ushered to the chair? Yes, the older lady who had gone to the restroom. She was ushered by the front desk lady who was still apologizing to her. She must have apologized five times right there. In addition, my nail tech turned to her and gave her an apologetic smile as well. Unbelievable!!!! In the end I left that place determined not to give even a 1 cent tip. That would be too much for the poor customer service I received. My nails were professionaly done and I paid for that service. But I felt worthless there. So, I will NEVER return. I'm sure many people have had pleasant experiences there, but it was not one for me. I encourage the people in charge to encourage all their staff to treat everyone like a person and a human being. Treat everyone with courtesy and respect regardless of how they look. read more

Not a good experience. My toes were great until I was charged $45 for a pedicure. I absolutely did not agree on that price and I let them know I felt taken advantage of but they didn't care at all. Prices should be agreed upon upfront and when someone says no to an upsell it shouldn't be forced on them. Also my nails were great until I realized the one was super thick and all are uneven. I'm unimpressed with the communication and the willingness to make things right. I feel like my money was not well spent and will be going somewhere else moving forward. read more

The pedicures are so nice and relaxing especially with the candle wax. While this has been my preferred place for a mani/pedi since L'Europa closed, my visit yesterday was not optimal. The tech was very nice, but did not speak English well enough for us to understand each other. Hence, I asked for no polish on my hands, but was given a clear coat of polish. I also got nipped and ended up bleeding in 2 different places, and instead of trimming off a cuticle, a large part of the side of my nail was clipped away. Likewise, there wasn't enough polish in the bottle that I chose for a color on my toes, so I had to pick a second bottle that I did not like as much. I usually like the atmosphere, but they had FoxNews on the TV....not exactly something to watch if you want to relax. I think I will check out other salons in the area..... read more

I have been coming to this place for the past three months..... I'm hooked!!! Absolutely love the atmosphere and have always been treated nicely. Love the natural feel of my nails even though I get acrylic overlay. If a color is not looking good the techs have been honest. I show them a picture of how I want my nails and it is executed to perfection. The only thing I wish is the wait is less but that means business is booming. Every time I enter the shop, nothing but terrible service. They always have a rude host who likes to argue with the clients. Also the last time I went there, all of their supplies were dirty and I had gotten an infection on my big toe. I went in to have coffin nails put on after 2 years of not having acrylic nails. Son did a good job and I was content. He kept telling me and every one around about other salons that charge less because they cut their product with something. I felt like it was a sales job to justify their high prices. I scheduled my fill one week prior to coming in. When I arrived Son said he was busy because the lady leaving wanted too much stuff and he had another client waiting. I was pawned off on his wife. He said it was easy, just a fill. After waiting another 10 minutes in her chair she filled my nails and filed them too thin. The edges on the side of the nail bed are too thin and already cracking. The expensive coffin nails I paid for were no more. After telling her that I was not happy, she said Son would fix it next time. I left feeling frustrated, upset, and wishing I never had acrylic nails. I am not returning to this nail salon. read more

Sometimes the wait time is outrageous...but that's because I'm usually a walk in. One time I made an appointment and I walked in to see the waiting areas full and hoped they'd still have time for me (or remember me) because making the appointment was almost too easy. All they did was ask for a time and a name and hung up. But I showed up early and they took me immediately. I have never had a bad manicure from this place and I get long almond shaped nails.. I called the day before to make an appointment and ask for the price for a full acrylic set. The price they gave me was $25. After arriving 5 minutes early I was rushed to pick a color and seated. The nail technician immediately picked up a drill file and filed the whole nail plate didn't bother with pushing back cuticles or cleaning them up. Applied a drop of glue without dusting them off and then got up to go search for the tips she didn't have. One tip was applied crooked...I should have left then. Acrylic was applied thick and she didn't take the time to file it nicely so where new growth and acrylic meet there is a nice, unattractive bump. The polish was applied unevenly and a couple of nails have pooling at the base of the nail. After all of this I went to pay and was charged $37.00! I'm not sure if they charged more for the gel polish or what. I will not be a repeat customer and I advise if you are reading this...DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!! read more
