I learned stuff that I think EVERYONE should learn - about aging, death, the business of care, and how, more often than not, money drives medical care at all places (hospitals, skilled nursing, assisted living, etc). I even learned about Medicare, Medi-Cal, and several diff programs to help people pay for care. Paul and Vanessa are so so knowledgeable and have such huge hearts. They are also talented trainers who know how to keep students engaged; they use simple but effective exercises that enable learning on a deeper level, not just a memorization of facts. Larry is the guy that takes you out in the truck you will be testing in and gives you the final pointers on what to expect. Thank you Larry! Some pointers I would like to give are read the script on the pre inspection and the air brake test. Also, know the coupling portion on the truck. it will be on every trip pre inspection. (fifth wheel skid plate, apron, platform, release handle, service and emergency lines, glad hands and seals, electrical line, locking mechanism, locking jaws, all need to be not cracked, broken, or damaged) repeat the C, B, D on each individual component.
