Without a doubt, this was one of the most challenging experiences for me in academia, and I have an advanced degree in Biology. So, whatever you do, do not take this program lightly. The material covered is very comprehensive, with certain aspects mirroring year one of medical school. Given the duration of the program, there will unquestionably be times when you're overcome by the sheer volume of material covered in such a short time frame. Whatever you do, **don't get discouraged.** Stay the course. Rest assured, the staff at RCI are there to support you as best as they can. Because your success is a direct reflection of them-- their ability to ensure you are well prepared for the board exam and will make a positive contribution to the medical community at large. I had previously enrolled in a three-month electrical program at another school, where I learned some concepts incorrectly. In this program at Baldwin Park, Mr. Naseiro taught me how to correct the mistakes from the previous school. In this program, I gained knowledge about residential, commercial, industrial, and motor controls wiring. I learned how to wire various systems and how to bend conduit. Most importantly, I learned about safety and personal protective equipment (PPE). As a result of this program, I obtained my Electrical Trainee Card and can now work in the field. Mr. Naseiro, counselor Ms. Razo, and the front office and financial aid staff have all been amazing in helping me with everything I needed. Thank you to everyone involved. The skills instructors and professors only want the best for us and it was thoroughly shown throughout my time that was spent with them. A lot of attention and guidance is provided to the students and if at any time confusion was present, the professors and skills instructors made sure to clarify the topics. Furthermore, whenever students had a question outside of class Mr. Perez was always prompt on answering emails and was able to meet the student's individual needs. As cheesy as it sounds, I can go on and on about how great this program is but you would only have to experience it to understand!

I enrolled for the electrician program and my first instructor Chris Fanin had no idea what he was doing. He never followed the lesson plan that was provided to him and just kept talking about how he lost his wife and daughter to a car accident. Needless to say that was incredibly uncomfortable for all of us enrolled in his class. There were times where we would ask questions about the days topic and he would just continue to talk about his wife and daughter or show us magic tricks SMH * Some of the students brought this to the attention of the higher ups but nothing was done. 3 months later we moved on to the more advanced courses taught by Sidney Singco, he was the absolute best instructor we had, but it was difficult for us because he had to teach us the lessons that the first instructor failed to teach us which made this incredibly hard. My other frustration with this school was dealing with career services. I went through 3 career service representatives and none could help me. 1 rep was moved to help a different course, the 2nd rep helped me with a rough draft resume then ended up quitting and told none of the students, the 3rd rep was incredibly immature that she kept making off hand jokes and literally lied to me that she would be able to find me leads/work. It went as far as she lied about my records claiming I had work, even saying that I owned my own business. She did all that just so she could get more funding for the school. I didn't even hear back from her for about 2 months later after I reached out. It's so incredibly strange that when you do or say something positive online about this school they completely ignore and forget about you. I graduated October of last year and have had ZERO work as an electrician. This school is a joke and a giant scam, the "leads" that they send you lead to dead end after dead end. At one point one of the leads my resume was sent to was for a window washing company, while another interview was for a building that was abandoned. Even the temp agency I was sent to was a joke. Seriously, save yourself the embarrassment and avoid this school at ALL COSTS!!!
