Unfortunately, our area was hit by a winter storm, and a state of emergency was declared both that weekend and the following weekend. Travel conditions were unsafe, especially for children and families attending the party. I notified the business as soon as possible, but they refused to refund the deposit and only offered rescheduling, for an additional $250. At that point, my daughter's birthday had already passed, so there was no reason to reschedule a birthday party weeks later. I understand businesses have policies, but emergencies and state-declared weather events are beyond a customer's control. I made multiple good-faith attempts to resolve this directly, but no resolution was offered. I'm sharing this so other families are aware before booking, especially during winter months when weather can impact plans. The owner commented below- families let's use common sense as to why the party was canceled just four hours prior, the snow began coming down heavily, and I couldn't in good conscience ask my family members to travel on dangerous roads. The owner also failed to mention I was emailing Meg, since 6am that morning. Their behavior shows more compassion for money than families.

It was even more baffling when I found out that Meg is also an owner, which is disappointing that her customer service skills are below subpar. There was a miscommunication with the decor set up, which wasn't the problem it was how she handled the situation. She was very rude and disrespectful so much so that the other ladies on the staff had to keep apologizing for her rudeness. I will also say I had to call and leave several voicemails and send an email before she called me back leading up to the party which I wasn't a fan of. The day of the party the other staff members were so helpful and accommodating with bringing my vision to life I really appreciated them. I probably won't be back because bad customer service has a lasting effect but it it a really nice facility and all the kids enjoyed themselves.

Several rooms with stations for guests to get a hands on experience. There was even a FIFA Theme! You make your own slime and can choose to get slimed as well but at an additional cost. Staff are friendly and patient. Very entertaining for the little ones. Definitely worth the price of admission. My family enjoyed their experience here and are still playing with their slime even after we have already returned home.

The indoor exhibit is small but charming and there are a few native species around. The downstairs education center also does a scavenger hunt every month which is really cool. They've done an amazing job of "gamifying" nature/science learning with their points based rewards system and natural objects exchange. We learned a lot about butterflies and caterpillars on our quest. The points thing goes a long way to motivating little ones that may be more skeptical about "learning" experiences and museums. But if you have kids who are more active and will walk, the variety of local trails contained within the nature center is quite nice. I would recommend coming here for adults without kids too for this reason. I heard there were little fairy houses somewhere too here but. I didn't see them. We saw the beaver, a variety of different birds including hawks and owls, and tons of other local animals. It was cool to see how intentional the design was of the outdoor sections and the map they give you at the gift shop/ticket counter is helpful. I also like how they have lots of play areas built in outside for kids to explore in a less structured way. They also have some nice picnic spots. Staff were friendly and helpful. "Feeding" (with the little sugar sticks) the butterflies was fantastic. Even on a hot summer day, I'm super glad we came and if it wasn't so far from where I lived I would attend more regularly/become a member.

I felt so pressured to set up and break down that I couldn't even enjoy my own daughter's party. For the price you pay, the experience should feel enjoyable not rushed and overwhelming. The venue emphasizes that the play area is the main attraction and the party room is mainly for food and cake, but this setup can be frustrating if you're expecting time to decorate or fully celebrate in the space. There is also a required photo consent clause in their agreement that cannot be waived, which may be uncomfortable for families who value privacy. What made the experience more frustrating was that the party scheduled after mine never even showed up it was already 3:30 PM when we left so we were rushed for no reason. (Staff even felt bad) The space itself is nice, but flexibility, personalization, and overall enjoyment were lacking. If you book here, make sure you fully understand how rigid the policies are beforehand.

I had an unbelievably hostile and unprofessional experience at Center Ice Arena during what was…read moresupposed to be a fun, recreational Adult Learn to Skate class. My friend and I registered to take Adult 3 together. My friend already knows how to skate and was completely willing to be evaluated. Learn to Skate USA's published Adult curriculum specifically states: "Based on prior skating experience, adults may choose to begin at the level that best matches their skill base." When Michelle McIntosh 'Jackie' refused to allow my friend to participate, I pulled up the published policy on my phone and showed it to her. Rather than simply reviewing the policy or evaluating my friend's skating ability, Jackie became increasingly argumentative and hostile and told me, "Wow, you just want to get your way." When I tried to de-escalate the situation and pointed out that this was a recreational adult skating class and really was not that serious, Jackie responded, "It is that serious," and continued making my friend feel extremely uncomfortable. Again, my friend was standing there perfectly willing to be evaluated. During the interaction, Jackie also inexplicably asked me, "Is that your wife?" referring to my friend. The question had absolutely nothing to do with the issue being discussed and, given her demeanor and the context in which it was said, came across as another unnecessary personal remark. Her behavior became hostile enough that I no longer felt comfortable or safe remaining at the facility. Jackie then took my skating card and told me she would refund the $228 I had paid. While we were waiting, I said to my friend, "Wow, what a waste," referring to the time and gas we had wasted driving there. Jackie overheard me, became angry again, and announced that she had changed her mind and would no longer refund me. So at that point, Center Ice had my $228, Jackie had taken my skating card, the class had begun without me, and she was refusing the refund she had just offered because she overheard me express frustration to my friend. I ultimately had to dispute the charge with American Express. Jackie expressly identified herself to me as an owner of Center Ice Arena, which makes the behavior even more concerning. I have since filed a formal complaint with Learn to Skate USA regarding Center Ice's administration of its Adult program and the interaction. There were countless reasonable ways to handle placement in a beginner-level recreational adult skating class. Becoming hostile toward two paying customers was not one of them. Extremely disappointing experience. Very unprofessional.

Instead of mediating, Manager Teresa Atcheson took their side, brushed off my son's injury, and bluntly told me no apology was necessary because "it wasn't on purpose." She showed zero empathy and actively defended the other family's lack of accountability. Her handling of this situation was completely dismissive and unprofessional. Parents, be aware that management here will not support you or your injured child, but you get shooed away.
