Dr. Motts saw my X-rays and came in the little room I was in and started talking loud ,.or he seemed pretty loud to me , saying I was missing a bunch of teeth. I mean does he think I'm not aware of my dental situation ? Or did he believe everyone needed to hear about my problems? I don't know why he was so mean to me. We told him we were interested in getting a partial. He say more than once that a partial was 1500 bucks at his office. Again I don't know why that was necessary I just know I was embarrassed and I felt ashamed of missing teeth. Now I don't know if he's that way to everyone or he just didn't like me. I decided to skip the cleaning and we paid for the X-rays and left. The X-rays themselves were 400 bucks so thank God I skipped the cleaning or I would have had to pay twice what I expected to. I would rather pay 2000 for a partial than go back to this dentist. I remember how people made me feel and he didn't make me feel good at all. I hope he's not like that with all his patients and I guess he's not or he would have failed years ago.

I then received a $73.00 bill for x-rays. Dentist Ashley Horton spent about two minutes with her "exam" hopping between me and two other patients. I got a proposal for extraction and partial. I call my plan provider to reference dental codes and costs. All their dental codes were wrong. ADA codes begin w/letter D, theirs began w/number 0. Two hours and a three-way call later, I finally figured out costs. They don't send cost predeterminations. My extraction appointment was a disaster. Horton didn't have the strength to pull the tooth, cut it in half, then jacked the halves back and forth for forever, finally getting them out. Before the extraction, I tried to discuss the partial type, she didn't have the time and didn't care to listen. Profit before patient care, same as it ever was, this place is no different. I cancelled all future appointments. A good dentist and good dental organization are hard to find.
