He will listen to you, hear you, & try his best to HELP you. He doesn't cower to certain things many physicians cower to. I then received a $73.00 bill for x-rays. Dentist Ashley Horton spent about two minutes with her "exam" hopping between me and two other patients. I got a proposal for extraction and partial. I call my plan provider to reference dental codes and costs. All their dental codes were wrong. ADA codes begin w/letter D, theirs began w/number 0. Two hours and a three-way call later, I finally figured out costs. They don't send cost predeterminations. My extraction appointment was a disaster. Horton didn't have the strength to pull the tooth, cut it in half, then jacked the halves back and forth for forever, finally getting them out. Before the extraction, I tried to discuss the partial type, she didn't have the time and didn't care to listen. Profit before patient care, same as it ever was, this place is no different. I cancelled all future appointments. A good dentist and good dental organization are hard to find.

He told them Medicare. If doctors actually cared the first question would be what kind of problem are you experiencing? But, no, it's "what insurance do you have"? Then they asked which doctor he wanted to see. He told them one of the men I forget which one. They then told him that, sorry, only one of our doctors is accepting Medicare. Oh, that's brilliant. Why doesn't it say that on the list of insurance that you accept? Next to Medicare it should say Dr. So and so only. The rest are more concerned about their money than actually helping you which is why they don't accept Medicare because that cuts into their paycheck. Well, Medicare is all he has. He's disabled and on disability. Like millions of other people who worked all their lives this is all he has now and this place won't give him the time of day. Then they asked which medication he's already taking. He told them. They placed him on hold and came back and told him that due to the fact that he's already taking controlled substances they can't accept him as a patient. What!?! These "controlled substances" he's already taking are prescriptions from another doctor and have nothing to do with this place. He was looking for a family doctor to help him with everything else, like when he's sick, not the medicine he is already getting elsewhere for other reasons. Any medicine prescribed by a doctor is a controlled substance. That's why you have to go to a doctor to get it. So if you're seeing a separate doctor for specialized reasons but still need a family doctor for basic reasons don't bother with these money-hungry jerks. This is absolutely outrageous. None of these charlatans should be allowed to call themselves doctors. All they care about is their money, not you. If you're poor, don't have good insurance or any insurance, disabled, on Medicare, already getting medicine from another doctor, etc, don't even bother calling this place. All they care about is their money. They don't care if you die.

Those laws? They require them to buy a roll of regulation paper to write prescriptions (I know, because I've taken it for two decades). I offered to take a test or whatever was needed to prove/make them comfortable with my diagnosis, which has been updated in the last 2 years, and they were still super sketchy about it. What kind of doctors office is not comfortable with maintaining basic adherence to drug laws and regulations enough to write a prescription for a very straightforward and diagnosed need? If they are not keeping up with basic laws and regulations in this area you can bet they are not modernizing in other ways as well. Stay away from these people. What an incredibly sketchy practice.
