Coe Lake is an incredibly beautiful park that is well manicured and lots of photo-worthy locations near the Cleveland airport. I boil with envy that west siders have such an incredible public park they can visit while I have to drive 40 minutes to get here! Every time I come here, I am always happy to see lots of people utilizing the park. There's a beautiful pagoda, a new and extensive playground, and a great walking trails around the very clean lake. The Berea Public Library is also in this complex, which I will also be giving its own review of 5 stars! I guess Berea resident's tax dollars are being used more wisely than those of us on the east side, haha! read more

A cute, well maintained park. There is a lake that you are able to fish at or take a walk around it. There is a large playground area for the children and multiple picnic tables and benches. Plenty of parking available. read more

Beautiful landscaping, plenty of accessible parking, right next door to police station; safe and serene. We went for the water lantern festival. There are so many beautiful spots here at the lake. It's great if you bring a chair but there's natural elements where you could sit for example, the rock seating area and the multiple grassy areas. Great park and playground There is a huge parking lot next to the lake so easy to access. There is a gazebo, playgrounds, benches and picnic tables. The lake is great for fishing, paddling or just hiking around. The park is also walking distance to many shops and restaurants. LAKE -- I had no idea this beautiful lake existed until my friend who lives in Berea told me about it. This is an absolutely stunning park and lake. It is very well maintained too. The lake is small but it provides for a great scenery around the park as you walk around. The walking paths are expansive (wide) even for a small area. You can walk deep into the woods as well where the tall trees are. LOCATION -- It is very close to Berea Commons shopping center and the Baldwin Wallace University campus. The Berea library is in the same vicinity of the lake (across from the lake) and literally a 1 min walk away. FISHING -- I saw people fishing when I first visited on 16 June 2019. Beautiful park full of life and color. The new kid park is great as well. They have a pool that's open during the summer season. On Sundays during summer thru early fall there is a great classic car show. The pavilion is new and can be rented for personal events or family gatherings. The walk around the lake is pleasant. There are people fishing, walking, talking, running, sunning and funning. Dog walking, wagging, playing so much going on. The library and police department is basically part of Coe Lake. Just sitting here and talking in all the beauty is so very relaxing. It's a place for everyone. read more

This is a great place to come and take a stroll, go fishing, have a gathering, or just sit and take a look around. Lots of parking available. There is a newly built playground next to the Berea Pool. The trails are scenic and secluded from noises other than nature. The Berea Library and Police Station are only a few feet away as well. Very safe area. read more

It's a beautiful place to go for a walk and learn about trees. It's in a nice community that is safe for children to play. On the other hand if you are deciding to go here to fish, I would advise you to find another place. Come lake is a highly pressured lake. Many leave skunked (not able to catch anything) after hours of fishing. The reliable wacky rig stick bait, nightcrawlers, shrimp, and even corn are no good here. The fish just won't bite. You might have luck on your side and might be able to catch 1 or 2 fish after 5 hours. Take my suggestion and go fish in Akron. There are many lakes and ponds there with plenty of fish or take a trip to Norwalk or even Chippewa lake. Just don't waste your time here if you are going fishing this includes Wallace lake as well. read more

A great location for a wedding ceremony (this is where I had mine), and scenic pictures. Aside from the ever-present geese, the grounds are well-maintained, constantly improved and always have gorgeous flower arrangements in the gardens. The gazebo is gigantic and can hold about 40 people. In the spring and summer, there's a beautiful fountain right in the middle of the lake. I've gotten some GREAT wedding shots here. read more

This is a very small lake situated behind Berea's City Hall and the Cuyahoga County Library. Once a Sandstone Quarry, it is now an excellent lake for fishing and canoeing. A Gazebo and the Kiwanis Picnic Pavillion highlight the west bank and a foot bridge adorns the north end. The Community Band concerts are held in the gazebo in the summertime. Coe Lake also has a boardwak with a pier, a bird and butterfly habitat and a plaza. Coe Lake is within easy walking distance to B-W's campus. It is adjacent to the campus apartments, Berea Townhouses. I took a canoeing class my freshman year; we took our final on Coe Lake. The boardwalk can be romantic at night. Walking paths are great. A lot benches around for little kids to sit on and watch the wildlife. Overall great place for a family picnic.
