There is a long stairway from the main street down to the falls. There are areas to stop and rest, it is a long walk down and back up. The falls are very picturesque and it is worth the trip to see them. The water was running pretty fast during my visit. I am sure other times of the year it is much slower.

The space is set very nicely - with areas for parents to sit that are shady or sunny. The activities are impressive, as the little (big) buildings for the kids to play in really allow for them to use their imaginations to play. Great to see a playground have both the physical activities and imagination type of activities. We really enjoyed it and will return when we're in the area again. The only negative, which doesn't really reduce my rating at all, nor does it keep the kids from having fun, is the fact that some areas do need some repair work. This is why it's important to leave a donation on your way out, if you're able. Hopefully this park can be maintained for years to come!

Even if you are the last one there, you are bound to get a great spot! As soon as we get there my kids go straight to the food, which is ample and a perfect selection for an outdoor gathering. Let's see, they had ribs, hamburgers, vegan-friendly veggie burgers, potato salad, baked beans, brownies, watermelon and the list goes on! I am always impressed with their soda selection! Diet cream soda does it for me every time! They have a nice, manned lake with paddle boats and canoes. There are a few different playgrounds, most of which, are in the shade. They recently added larger-than-life wooden rockers! There is a little area where kids can redeem tickets for prizes. The soft-served ice cream (vegan, by the way!) and cold novelties are always a hit! They provide hayrides which offer great history of the park and family that owns it. You'll see softball fields and many photo opportunities in the gazebo, pavilion and around the lake. The restrooms are very clean! So, go visit this wonderful, scenic, family-owned gem! There was a nicely mowed path throughout the park with many paths through the prairies and leading into the small woods trails. These paths are super novice mode and not very long, .5-2 miles tops if you do them all. Benches throughout and the roots were even spray painted to show trip hazards in the woods. Missing a star because no bathroom but otherwise great for a quick walk.
