I handed over my ID and Kaiser card and gave my information and they were able to easily bill my insurance so I didn't have to handle it after the fact. After some wait my vitals were checked, then I was sent back to the lobby and after a bit more of a wait, I was moved into a shared room. In total my visit was about three hours and I was able to speak to the doctor who ordered my medication to the closest pharmacy and had a first dose ready for me prior to my leaving. When I let them know I hadn't eaten recently they also provided a sandwich and crackers to take with the medication. I was texted semi-regularly with the name of my nurse, my doctor, my room, and when I was discharged - all things Kaiser doesn't do that I appreciated. My visit fee was the same as it is with Kaiser and because they supplied the first dose I was able to head home and go to sleep, picking up my medication the next day. All in all, I appreciated how Mount Sinai made the experience smooth for me and it's nice knowing I have an ER I can go to when I'm in the area.

I flew into town to help with her care and brought her for an appointment with Dr. Braun about a week after she had been released from the hospital. I found Dr. Braun to be extremely arrogant and told my family and me, "Look! She's fine!" before actually examining her (because she could walk). He paid no attention to her, ignoring her very obvious cognitive deficits, and appeared to be preoccupied the entire appointment. We had to call back multiple times to request a urine test for a possible UTI which we had requested in person at the appointment. The ONLY positive thing I can say is that the nurse who brought us to the room before he came in was very nice. I would not trust Dr. Braun with my health, let alone the health of my loved ones.

I was told that I would be called later that day when Dr Francoski got out of surgery however that phone call never happened and none of my follow ups were returned for over two weeks until I continuously called multiple times a day for three days and finally caught Betty first thing in the morning only to get screamed over, told a bunch of incorrect information Which if she was in contact with her team she would know she was completely in the wrong, And when I tried to explain to her of reality of the situation she hung up on me. I have wasted three months trying to get in the door of this place only to be disrespected and hung up on by the most ignorant lady I've ever spoken to in my life I mean she makes a Karen look like a sweet lady... Still owes me $180 which they request upfront "just in case" insurance doesn't cover (which it did, and -insurance- sent the doc a few letters with proof, requesting reimbursement (never issued). His wife in charge of finances seems to be mentally ill. Unnecessary rude and raising her voice, refusing to provide proof of anything which threatens this ongoing scam. This practice should be REVOKED, FINED AND SHUT DOWN.
