(TLDR: if trying to dispose of old tanks just go to Habitat for Humanity and save yourself a $10 per tank charge, they take them for free.) Was told before when I came to fill up my new propane tanks about a year ago I could dispose of old propane tanks for free here. Today I went with three old tanks and they had closed 30 minutes early for lunch. Not too much of an issue, until I came back at reopening and found they wanted to charge $10 per tank for disposal. The valve on one of the propane tanks on our RV was not operating correctly. Had the helpful CoEnergy attendant swap the valve out for a new one and refill the tank while we waited. Very attentive, friendly service at a fair price. 5 star service -- Thanks CoEnergy!! read more

Service techs are cheerful and usually very fast to fill tanks at delivery. Making a payment over the phone can be like pulling teeth. They don't bother telling customers that they update the system: the customers have to make a new account online. Online payment system is often down or very slow. read more

One of the few places with easy access for a large motorhome, drive through lot and prices are the best I've found on the I-5 corridor.

I am very concerned about how CoEnergy certified one of my propane tanks, but when I got it I discovered the same day that the valve was leaking and unable to seal. So I took it back and paid them twice to have a new valve installed. What was up with this issue I asked, the technicians gave me no answer that was reasonable. So why did CoEnergy certify a tank that leaked in the first place? I asked them in several ways and got no coherent response. I am concerned that the technicians and staff do not understand the processes involved with compressed propane safety. Why are they qualified to recertify a tank? This is not a cost issue but is a vital HAZMAT issue. When I tried to discuss it with a manager there to them it was only a cost issue. Just moved into a new house out in the country and were told by the seller they used CoEnergy. During a recent snow storm our generator ate up what was left of the propane as it must have not been filled before we moved in. Called CoEnergy and were told they couldn't come out and fill for a month. So we called other companies as we needed our tank filled ASAP since our hot water and stove top run on gas. We called CoEnergy to get the information for our tank so we could give it the gas company that could fill our tank within the next day or two. The woman on the phone would not give us the information we needed and my husband had to leave work and fo digging in the dirty tank for the data plate all because someone was bitter we were using some other company to fill our tank. Holding people hostage to your company when they need gas to do basic things like shower and cook is pretty disgusting. We will be switching to another company. read more

I am sorry to have to give this company only two stars but right now they barely deserve that. Trying to get a new tank set was a small nightmare. Was told conflicting details about whether tank should be set before the new gas heating stove/inspection. Then an argument on phone on the day the tank was supposed to be set. That was after a week of trying to get a call back which never happened. Then when the tank was finally installed (Thursday) with a minimum of gas, was told they would fill 'next week' so another chilly weekend using the stove as little as possible. Monday I call to find out when gas will be delivered - Oh, in the next few days!!!! Really! You bring out a tank and then do not have the ability to fill it for days! If you drive in to their lot to get a tank filled, you will probably be fine but anything more complex - beware. Their communication is poor to non existent. Had I known how bad this was going to be I would have gone elsewhere. read more

Please save your selves a lot of frustration and do not use CoEnergy! I called to have them come out and do a sight check for a propane tank. They were very prompt with that. However the tank was improperly sighted in violation with the fire code. I did not know this until later. Once the propane lines were installed I called to have a tank delivered. I was given a date. I called the morning of delivery and was told I was on the schedule. At 6 that night after not showing up I called again and was told I was never on the schedule. The receptionist said she would have someone call me in the morning. No one called. I called them again. Was told that the guy in charge of the schedule would call me back. He never did. I then contacted one of their competitors. When they came out I found out that CoEnergy has sighted the tank wrong and now I have to have it redone. How are they still in business.
