Had a wonderful cup of coffee Friday at Coffee Central! It was the Carmen, which is on the Championsip challenge from Edible Memphis. Spicy flavors balanced the cold brew and citrus flavors. Really tasty. For lunch we had the chicken salad. I ate half of my sandwich that was on sourdough bread and took the other half home. It was delicious. My friend ordered the half chicken salad on croissant and half salad that had lettuce and tomatoes and some Parmesan cheese. She would have liked some cucumbers in the salad as well and maybe a little bit of red onion. Both of ours tasted quite yummy. I am sure we will return to this area to try some other coffees. Wouldn't go here for a quick bite, took 45 min to get the wrong food. Latte was yummy, and manager nice but I won't go back here. Cashier had to go up to several tables after they ordered and sat down to tell them they were out of what they ordered, including us. Then the food we tried to order in place of what they were out of, got remade incorrectly twice after I explained the menu item again :,) also WiFi went out while we were there lol Lastly the menu item we did get the "last of" was the chicken salad wrap which barely had any chicken salad in there read more

I went to Southaven specifically for Coffee Central, knowing this was a great place for coffee, and man I was not disappointed! I got their Bananas Foster Latte - iced and a little less sweet - and it was AMAZING. Maybe one of my favorite banana coffee drinks of the summer! (Which is saying A LOT!) Great little spot - very attentive staff! They didn't have what I wanted but went above and beyond to offer me an excellent alternative.

Saturday morning sip and catch up with my crew so we arrived at 10a and it was a nice crowd but not too much. The shop is nice and the ambiance is great. They offer suggestions as well so I ordered an iced green matcha tea with oatmilk and it was refreshing. The menu looks divine and the selection of teas are enough to keep me coming back! As someone who grew up in Mississippi, I know how hard it is to get premium coffee shops here. Coffee Central is nothing short of extraordinary. I went there the morning of May 29. The barista was very friendly. When I asked her what type of drip coffee they had, she told me the origin, the roast, and the process of each. Had a stunning Ethiopian Yirgacheffe (light roast, natural). Couldn't recommend more! read more

I paid $6 for a small bullet proof coffee with butter. Supposedly they add collegian powder but I never tasted it nor did I see them use it. Super over priced coffee to pay for the huge space they rented out. I get it. My new favorite local coffee shop! Friendly staff and delicious cannolis and cold brew all at very reasonable price. HUGE tables and bars by the window to sit and work. Free WiFi. I got the cold brew coffee with toffee nut flavoring and milk. The coffee was smooth and not to sweet. Absolutely perfect! The cannoli was absolutely wonderful as well! Tips -- they have a loyalty program for buy 10 and get one free. And they offer teacher discounts as long as you bring your teacher id. read more

Great service, I had a breakfast sandwich on very good bread and they were happy to customize it for me. They do charge a fee for using a card, but this is clearly stated in multiple places. I got mine to go, but there was plenty of seating had I wanted to stay. My only issue is that the prices weren't listed for items on the specials board or all items on the printed menu. For instance, I knew that add-ons for the açaí bowls were $1, but there were no prices listed for the different bowls offered (I had to ask - the least expensive was $12 and change, so I went with the sandwich instead). Great spot, I will go again when I'm close by for another baseball tournament. read more

I traveled all summer across the country stopping at over 20 Mom and Pop Coffee shops and this one ranked 20/20 and unfortunately it is the one near my home. The coffee likes a depth of roast that you usually get at good coffee places. Doesnt taste like anything better than you can make at home in fact I prefer our coffee brew at home to anything the serve. read more

My friend and I decided to take advantage of a beautiful day, and go for a drive. We scoped out a good place to have some coffee and pastry during our travels, and Coffee Central in Southaven came up. It looked really cute, and for a coffee shop it had a lot of food options; just in case we decided on something more substantial than pastry. When we got there, the café has a really cute ambiance, and the woman (owner?) behind the counter was so nice, and helpful. They had PUMPKIN TURNOVERS!! Have you ever seen such a thing? I was so excited. My friend had a berry cream cheese Danish. The pumpkin turnover was incredible. It was like a pumpkin pie with better crust (I hate pie crust). It was amazing. I also got a pumpkin spice latte, and that was good, as well. The café has oat, almond, and soy milk options for your coffee, which is incredibly important for me, as I am allergic to milk, and soy. The coffee has a really bad twang. The people are great! But unfortunately I prefer Starbucks coffee 50 tines more.

Looking for a COVID-19 safe coffee place? Central Coffee is definitely not the place. Employees do not enforce the mask mandate as customers come in without masks on and are not turned away or asked to wear a mask. The tables are not properly socially distanced either---all within 3 ft of eachother. Overall, Coffee Central is a breeding ground for COVID-19 and nobody seems to care. read more

If you haven't tried Lavender Tea yet, this is the place to start. Very smooth and relaxing. The Chai is my favorite in the spicy tea.
