We had a hell of a time finding an open coffee shop on a rainy Saturday, and I feel like we were just meant to find this spot. Namen was an absolute legend! He had a pop up with competition grade coffee he made. He gave us great information about all of his coffees, and they all sound INCREDIBLE. We bought a pound, and I cannot wait to taste it. We also all got lattes. We tried the Nutty Buddy, the Ya Herb, and the Burnout. All of which were very different from each other and delicious. The shop is quite small, without much seating, but it's very cute!

Tiny coffee shop on Madison ave. Super unique drink combinations, dairy free. They keep the pricing simple, $4, $5, $6. We got the burnout, ya herb, nutty butty and traditional latte. I'm a sucker for pistachio so the nutty butty was my jam. Our barista, Naiman Rigby, was awesome! We ended up having a great conversation about the roasting process and the different combination.

I was downtown picking up an order of biscuits from Kinfolk Memphis. The owner suggested I stop by Boycott Coffee. I am so glad he reminded me to go get a cup of coffee from there. It hit the spot on this very chilly day. I arrived before the rainstorm. Such a blessing. Must have been a Divine appointment because I found a parking spot easily and close by the coffeeshop. Win win! Yes! The shop is small but has some of the best coffee. Had a Frothy Cloud Pandan Latte which was hot. There is not any Pandan foam on the hot version. The latte was still on point and smooth. The barista was very patient and quite nice. I didn't catch her name. I enjoyed my coffee a lot! Decided to get an American also since I don't get downtown much. Some of the best coffee shops are located in downtown Memphis. I will definitely return for more excellent coffee!

Yesterday morning before the weather got ugly I went Downtown for a WFH: On The Go location and ended up at none other than @boycottcoffee When I first started following them I instantly noticed the marketing, content, and diversity of their Instagram page! You could tell from their IG alone that they weren't just selling coffee and yesterday that was confirmed. Created in 2017 to help bring attention to the true producers and faces of the coffee industry, Boycott Coffee is a place for community, conversations, and of course coffee! I spent 4 hours talking to Alexander(1 of the owners, meeting new people, working, trying new drinks, and just enjoying the atmosphere. In fact, I had such a good time that I was supposed to return today for pt. 2 to have some @lulusfood_mem (they have a popup once a week there)but forgot I had a dentist appointment. I'll be back soon tho! It was so refreshing to be in a space that was not only advocating for the people they serve but the city that they are in! Which is something I've come across often during my local coffee journey! Every time I hit a new local coffee shop it inspires me to keep exploring local coffee and to continue to make connections. It has also taught me that I'm really not a real coffee drinker Lol but that I enjoy trying new things! However, I have found plenty of new drinks I love! Whenever you have free time I hope that'll you'll visit Boycott Coffee, have a sip or two, meet some new people, and have plenty of meaningful conversations! I also hope that you'll start your own local coffee shop journey! These shops have way more than coffee to offer!

Ya herb. Mocha and lavender latte. Perfect.

As soon as we walked in, we were welcomed with kindness and hospitality. Smaller and intimate, it made it easy to talk to the barista and patrons. The barista was super knowledgeable and accommodating. Great coffee and the latte was on point. If you are looking for a great roast and a place that isn't pretentious, boycott is for you. Will definitely be back.

One of the best coffee shops in Memphis, TN. Co-owned by Zan who's the barista behind the bar. His care for craft coffee and service is one of the best experiences I've had. Ask him any questions and he's happy to answer them.

The atmosphere and decor of this coffee shop are both inviting and antique bringing feelings of the historic times and souls once living in the area. The "team"working here were both professional, kind and friendly. When eating in your entree is hand delivered with a smile in a timely manner. I even got a brief visit from the supervisor/possible owner asking if I needed anything and how everything was going. When I replied with a positive experience he said he will pass on the word to the team. I liked that he gave credit to everyone/team. I will definitely return when in town for business and recommend to my colleagues.

The aesthetic is really well done. It's warm, modern, and just a place you actually want to hang out in for a while. The staff were great and super helpful, especially when it came to working around a few syrups they were out of. They offered substitutions without any fuss, and it honestly worked out for the better. All of their syrups are made in-house, and you can really taste the difference! They're fresh and not overly sweet or artificial. We ordered a Bourbon Mocha and a Carrot Cake Latte (which was absolutely to die for), and decided to keep breakfast on the lighter side with a slice of sourdough and two cinnamon rolls. The cinnamon rolls, though, are not your typical style. Instead of the usual big, fluffy roll, they spiral the dough tightly and bake it that way. The result is this super fun, peel-apart situation where you're unraveling layer after layer. It feels like there are eight layers of cinnamon-sugar goodness to work through! Overall, Hustle & Dough has great coffee, thoughtful house-made syrups, unique pastries, and a really welcoming vibe. Definitely a spot I'd go back to next time I'm in Memphis.

We ordered the biscoff latte, the Dubai chocolate latte and a Turkish coffee. I'm not a stranger to Turkish coffee, so when I say this I mean this respectfully, but this was the worst turkish coffee I've ever had. It tasted very burnt and not at all the way it was supposed to. Unfortunately this was my husbands first time trying it and he says he is not open to trying it again in the future. As for the biscoff and the Dubai chocolate lattes, they were fine flavor wise, but nothing special enough to come back for or pay extra for. Looks wise, the drinks were beautiful! The location itself is also very beautiful inside.
