Next, the chocolate butter tart was excellent! There are two options of butter tarts (a particularly Canadian treat), a plain one and a chocolate one. Having consulted a server, they highly recommended the chocolate butter tart for chocolate-lovers. The tart sides were delicious, and similar in texture to an egg tart. The inside was gooey and almost like chocolate sauce with a rich buttery base. The inside sauce really reminded me of a Chinese bun we love in Singapore, the liu sha bao or salted egg yolk custard bun. All in all, I highly recommend the chocolate tart for a small but punchy pop of decadence, and it goes perfect to complement with a cup of coffee.
