    Oreo Bingsu
    Sarah P.

The Oreo bingsu was delicious at Snow Day. The little Oreo bits added a slight crunchy texture to the bingsu. The shaved ice didn't taste as light and creamy as I had hoped. However, the little cheesecakes added a nice, sweet flavour to the bingsu. The service was quick and they even offered us boxes even though we requested dine in because we ordered a large and they knew we probably could not finish it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is peaceful with some seating available.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It's definitely a great spot to grab a fun dessert!

I love this bingsu spot! They get the sweetness just right with the condensed milk and fruit syrups, not too much, not too little. There aren't many truly good bingsu places, and this is definitely one of them. The prices are pretty reasonable too. It's honestly the perfect treat, like fluffy shaved ice cream, and you can pick whatever flavour you're in the mood for. They have options like coffee, matcha, and fruity flavours such as mango, green grape, and more. The staff are always really friendly, and they use buzzers to let you know when your order is ready, which keeps things super organized. There's also plenty of seating for both small and big groups.

I found Bingsu usually underwhelming and mid. Snowday, unfortunately, is no exception. The tiramisu bingsu did not have a lot of flavour in it, but the bitterness of the espresso shot as a complimentary "sauce." (honestly, I was not sure what it was supposed to achieve). I feel I just have a higher bar for ice dessert because I've had chhoah-peng since I was little in Taiwan, and I guess I am quite difficult to impress when it comes to ice desserts. The presentation was great, but a bit overpriced. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The service was standard, and the interior was cozy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Good for hangout.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Came here with my boyfriend. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was really busy when we went, and all the tables were occupied, so we thought we'd have to get them to go.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] After a long wait, a couple people had left, so we got a table, and after a bit more of a wait, we got our bingsu. The oreo bingsu was exactly as expected, but the green grape bingsu syrup they used was a bit too sweet, and some of the grapes were brown. Not awful though.

Second time having Snowday but first time at this location. Much better experience than my first time at a different location! The bingsu here was refreshing and flavourful that it didn't taste like plain ice. I highly recommend the strawberry bingsu if you really like similar flavours to strawberry pocky. Strawberry bingsu: Tastes so much like strawberry pocky. Refreshing dessert with reasonable amount of strawberries. Totally would get it again! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The service was quick and lots of seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The parking lot has a lot of parking spaces so it's not too difficult to find. I would totally recommend this spot for dessert cravings.

I love that this spot does cup servings of the bingsu. It's the perfect solo portion where you're not left with a pile of watery slush at the end that you can't really eat. It's a popular hang out spot with great service. There's a good balance in toppings/syrup to shaved ice, so every bite is super flavourful.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Came here on a Friday evening and this place was pretty packed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is also limited seating but we were able to get the last table available.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It's all pretty much self service here. You have to go up and order, they give you one of those buzzers and then you pick up your order when it's ready. I ordered the small mango bingsu which is more than enough for two people to share. I really enjoyed this bingsu. It came with lots of mango and was very tasty. It definitely satisfied my craving for dessert. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It can get pretty loud though. Had a tough time having a conversation with my friend and found myself raising my voice at some points[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]].

My first time to be here but it's a great dessert place to go after dinner. Good to satisfy my cravings for Korean style Bingsu!! Tried three tastes of Bingsu: Tiramisu bingsu - Large size with mochi, Red bean bingsu - Large size with mochi and Green grape bingsu - Large size with mochi. My favourite one is the tiramisu!!! Staffs were so nice and will recommend some famous tastes to us! The cafe also easy to find and you can visit there when you are nearby thornhill! It's definitely good for group or couple to go~

This dessert place is very high quality, especially their waffles. They are so delicious that you just can't stop eating them. I highly recommend it. 呢間甜品非常高質,特別係佢個窩夫,真係令到人哋食唔停口。高度推薦。

[[HIGHLIGHT]]A nice way to end a hot day.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The bingsu was a good richness and a light dessert. There was a good mix of textures from the shaved ice to the chewy mochi. Was not too sweet and had the right amount of flavour without being overwhelming. A small was enough to split amongst two people.

It can get busy, but if you're patient enough, you can get a table. We got their injeolmi bingsu (our go to for most bingsu). It came with mochi bits which stayed soft! The bingsu was super fluffy and flavourful! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Definitely a great place to go to help satisfy the craving with great atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    Review Highlights - Snowday

We got our usual large injeolmi (soybean/kinako) bingsu and it has a nice layering of condensed milk, mochi and shaved almond slices throughout.

Mango crepe- amazing portions and the crepe was exceptionally soft. The consistency was perfect coupled with fresh sponge cake and mango bits. The STAR was the ice cream- flavours which felt authentic and a much needed change from the artificial coloured mango based ice creams widely available. TOTALLY WORTH YOUR BUCKS! The only reason for the 4 star review is that the ambiance is lacking and far more of a takeout place than a sit down, with plastic cutlery being used for dine-in. Their ice cream machine happened to be down when I visited, so they kindly topped my drink with a scoop of ice cream instead and turned it into a float. I chose the Earl Grey ice cream, and it ended up being a pairing I didn't know I needed. Both the matcha and Earl Grey flavors were strong, distinct, and incredibly well executed. What I appreciate most is that they let the tea shine rather than masking it with excessive sweetness or artificial flavors. Honestly, the scoop of ice cream may have been an even better experience than the original float. It was so good that I found myself trying to slow down and savor every sip.

The only odd thing is the outlet situation--it's a bit chaotic--so it's not exactly the best spot if you're planning to camp there with a laptop and pretend to be productive. On that first visit, I ordered the rice dacquoise and, to be honest, it kind of spooked me. I think I was expecting something like a macaron with whipped cream in the middle, but it was much lighter and softer than that. My brain didn't quite know how to process it. A few months later, I ended up coming back because I desperately needed a late evening coffee and the nearby Togo Coffee was closed. And wow, Luna Bakery makes excellent espresso drinks & I was not expecting that. The latte was incredibly creamy, nutty, and subtly sweet, with all that sweetness coming naturally from the perfectly roasted beans. Every sip felt like a small trip to caffeine paradise. I also gave the rice dacquoise another shot - this time the strawberry one - and suddenly it made sense lol. Light, slightly fruity, a little tangy, and perfect with the coffee. Now I enjoy coming back - partly for the coffee, and partly because my taste buds have finally learned to appreciate the rice pastries instead of being spooked by them. Service is always friendly - they never judge you for trying way too many free rice bakery samples. Bless.

In hindsight I do wish I got a more interesting flavor like Ube or Pistachio since they have a good selection of flavors, but the creme brulee was still pretty tasty!
