Delicious and filling sandwich with homemade bread. All the ingredients tasted very fresh. The atmosphere is a classic European eatery with plenty of outdoor seating on a sidewalk with lots of pedestrians to feed your appetite for people watching. The service was very European with lots of waiting and no checks on how you like the food or if you need anything else, but this is typical. The owners pride themselves on quality and tell you that if you are in a hurry then you should keep walking Also typical of European outdoor eating experiences where the food initially tastes like cigarettes. However I was seated between several tables of smokers, and the furthest upwind table was happy to switch places with us leaving us with fresh air and food that tasted fantastic. Excellent place to stop for a healthy and filling lunch! Tip: just walk inside to pay at the end.

Walked in here randomly and it turned out to be one of our most relaxing afternoons here in Azores. Owner talked to all the guests, explaining that everything is made from scratch. Daniel, the owner, loves chemistry, formulated his own way of making gelato. He explained which pastry we would like and what is inside the pastry that we chose, Mousse de Queito com frutos Vermelhos. It was so creamy and just the right amount of tart. They have a good selection of gourmet organic tea. I had the From Paris With Love and my boyfriend had the Blackberry Tango. Both were so good that they didnt need sugar. If you want a nice relaxing afternoon in Ponta Delgada, this is the place to be.

Flat White with the Ethiopian beans

Brewed to perfection! I really enjoyed my flat white and the warm banana bread with espresso cream cheese. The owner was very friendly! Coffee and food was all fresh and flavorful each time we visited. *they had posted on social media that the shop would be open on weekends, but then they closed to be home with their kids. I'm happy they put family first, but would have like if they posted that notice on social media.

Looking into Intz48 as you step inside.

We arrived in Sao Miguel and were looking for good coffee and tea. This place had both. As an added bonus they have fresh fantastic food. I enjoyed the avocado toast and my husband had the prosciutto cheese toast. We also enjoyed a coffee, chai latte and a pot of tea. Definitely recommend coming here!

However, my friend and I happened to pass by the factory when we were on our way to another destination, so we decided to stop in to see the factory. The factory itself isn't that big (takes about a few seconds to see the whole thing). Because we saw the ladies wrapping the freshly made queijadas, we decided to order some coffee and try the queijadas there. The difference in the texture and taste of the freshly made queijadas vs the one I bought at the cafe (also from this factory) was HUGE! The freshly made one tasted delicious! Highly recommend coming here to try this Portuguese pastry with some coffee! You won't regret it!

These little dense egg yolk cakes are a yummy sweet breakfast and a specialty of the island that all visitors need to try. The queijadas were delicious and we came back another day for more and to buy a box to bring home (sold in souvenir boxes of 6 or 12). This place may be cash only, not completely sure. When we were there at 9am when they first opened we were able to watch the staff wrapping all the individual queijadas. There was also a big bus of tourists that was dropped off right at 9am and they flooded in the small place to all buy pastries, so keep that in mind when planning your stop here - not sure if this is something that happens every morning. You order everything at the counter and there are a few tables inside and some tables out on the patio as well. When I went back it was around 2 pm and there were only a few other people there.
