Dr. Roth didn't answer any of my questions, and seemed to be following a checklist. He pushed the eye device into my face rather hard, hard enough where it hurt when it impacted my forehead. My eye pressure was high--something that should not have been overlooked--but Dr. Roth failed to even notice it. After I brought it up, he quickly dismissed it, saying he'd "take care of it" as he rushed me out. Take care of it when? That kind of neglect is unacceptable. I literally have to go to a different doctor to redo the exam because this guy was so incompetent. This is not to mention that I was initially told vision therapy would be covered by my insurance, and then told the first part would be $1400 not covered by any insurance. He wouldn't tell me the cost of the next part nor would he tell me what was involved. Please don't go here - you deserve better.

My son has a hard time sitting still for too long he was able to get up, move around, stim if he needed, he was given the time he needed to regulate himself so that he could continue his exam. She broke his exam up into multiple seasons so that he would be able to tolerate the exam and become familiar with her. It worked we were able to find out if he needed glasses. Her assistants are wonderful as well they were so patient and kind. I would definitely recommend this eye care center for everyone, especially those with special needs.

I have a mixed review here since I have not seen Dr. Mostafavi but I have instead seen Dr…read more Polishchuk, his associate for a diagnosis of my suddenly cloudy right eye. Firstly, I want to thank the staff whom are very professional and nice. The ladies that work there are very accommodating. I was given an appointment the next day for which I was very grateful. Dr. Polishchuk dilated my eyes And I've had them dilated before but he seems sort of rough in his manner, not gentle. His diagnosis was partially on point. I should really thank him because of my experience with him which was not all that great and hence I decided to go back to my original surgeon for a second opinion at Columbia Doctors. He did not even question me about driving after my eyes were dilated or wearing sunglasses, like not concerned. Sometimes it's the little things. But in a way it all worked out because I did have at least a provisional ICD 10 diagnosis to be seen more timely by my original surgeon who performed successful (cataract surgery in 2017) on both my eyes respectively. The point is, she actually assessed through more testing that the diagnosis was applicable to both eyes not just the one eye even though it was worse in the right eye. Danielle Trief, MD Assistant Professor at Columbia University Medical Center did much more extensive testing by far. This was a week after I saw Dr. P on Clawson Avenue. At the same appointment she performed a laser procedure which cleared up my entire vision in the right eye which was worse than the left which was the "good eye" now the "bad eye". The procedure was painless and within a few hours I could miraculously see perfect in that right eye. In layman's terms the lens implant needed to be "polished" as this can commonly occur over time. I am going to have the left eye done in two weeks. My point is that unless it's an emergency which was fortunately not the case here, me personally, I would get a second opinion. Was it a major pain in the ass to go into Manhattan? Absolute torture yes, but hey you only have one pair of eyes.

I was not a candidate for LASIK according to some of the diagnostic tests I had gotten. Dr Ray listened to all of my concerns and told me exactly what to expect. The office and staff are amazing and Dr Ray is one of the best in the business, I would highly recommend him to anyone interested in an evaluation for corrective options.
