Terrible Experience - Please Be Careful I had my cataract surgery done here, and it turned into a nightmare. I went in with very high eye pressure, but they still went ahead with my left-eye surgery as scheduled. During surgery, my capsule broke. The surgery center didn't even have the proper lens for the sulcus, so I was left without a lens in my eye for two weeks. Later, they performed another surgery to implant the lens. Unfortunately, due to the trauma from the first failed surgery, my cornea became swollen, followed by consistent inflammation. Six months later, Dr. Kung told me that there were leftover fragments from my natural lens causing infection -- and that I needed a third surgery to remove them. All of this led to corneal edema, loss of vision, ongoing inflammation, and constant pain. After consulting two cornea specialists, both confirmed that the bad cataract surgery caused all of these problems. Now, the only solution left for me is a cornea transplant. I am terrified and deeply regret trusting this place. RUN -- do not risk your eyes or go through the misery I'm experiencing. On top of everything, they ran many tests on their machines and charged me a lot of money throughout this ordeal. read more

I paid my co-pay, I paid the additional $30 bill they sent me, but they keep sending me erroneous bills for $30, even months later, I've complained to the office manager, and spent an incredible amount of time over $30 bill, from a five minute procedure months prior. Stay far away from this eye center and go see someone else, it's not worth the headaches. read more

My eye doctor told me that I had cataracts and suggested that I have them removed. He specifically suggested Dr. Kung. I went to his East Brunswick office for testing and schedule. I had my right eye done on 1/31/23. I was amazed at the office, the staff, the nurses, and all the personnel in his facility. The actual surgery took about 10 minutes and I didn't feel a thing. I went home with a bandage over my right eye. I had absolutely no pain, not during or after. I slept well that night (except, of course, I hated the bandage on my face) but the next day, they took it off, and it was amazing!!!! Everything was beautiful and bright. I couldn't believe how much I had been missing. I am having my left eye done on 2/14/23 - Happy Valentine's Day to me! I would recommend Dr. Kung and his facility to anyone who needs cataract surgery. Thanks to everyone there! read more

The office manager Christine doesn't even know how to offer an apology I made an appointment in January22 for 19May22 and in March 22 I called again the office confirmed that it was confirmed and no earlier date was available . Today we went to East Brunswick office to our surprise they didn't have any appointments for us but the nice lady at front desk helped us to fill out the paper work. After waiting for an hour we were asked for co pay, we paid. Then we were told to come back next week because the office manager can not accommodate us. When I asked to talk to office manager I had to wait again. The way we were treated after being coming to this same office for over five years. Today it was made clear they don't value the guest or patients at all. read more

I had a problem with my eye. Dr. Kung is not my eye dr. Mine was off. I called and Dr. Kungs office got me in and boy what a mistake I made. I should have just waited for my Dr. my appointment was for 1:45 I arrived at 1:25 they took me in and did tests that I have already had done at my dr. Plus did a sonogram of my eyes. I just needed him to look at my eye. I had blephritis that got infected and needed it drained. I sat for 3 hours waiting for Dr. Kung to come in for no more than 3 minutes. He didn't even drain it. Ordered drops and antibiotic by mouth. Oh, and come back in a week to recheck.. No Thank You!!! I will be seeing my Dr. I should have known better when another patient came out yelling he's leaving that it's been two hours already. If they can't see you in a timely manner than don't book the appointment! It's not a very hard thing to do. Don't waste your time! read more

Dr. Kung performed cataracts surgery on my right eye, and he could not have done a better job. One thing that surprised me was the fact that both during and after the surgery, I experienced no pain whatsoever. While I didn't expect their to be pain during the surgery, I thought there would be some a couple hours after the anesthesia wore off. However, the pain never came. Another thing that shocked me was the fact my vision improved so drastically. A day after the procedure, the vision in my right eye went from 20/70 to 20/30!! I am legally allowed to drive in the state of NJ without my glasses, and the best part is my vision is supposed to get better as I continue to recover. I should also let you know that after the procedure, the world seemed so much clearer. I cannot rave enough about Dr. Kung and I have scheduled him to perform cataracts surgery on my left eye as well. If you do choose to get cataracts surgery, he should be the doctor to do it. read more
