We've seen a few different doctors (sometimes we aren't able to see his PCP) and everyone is very knowledge, cordial and kind. The nurses are all great and attempt to calm my son down who get a a bit nervous as he's only 2.5 (he started seeing his doctor at 18 months when we moved to NYC). At times during afternoon visits when they're busier the wait time can be a little long but that's fine. We are patient and things work out.

You will wait hours for her to see you to explain the results of that surgery. For me, she removed a lot more flesh than she said she would. I didn't question her judgment AT ALL. But I did ask her about it when when I came for a follow up as I wanted to understand it. After waiting for about 2 hours for my appointment, she told me the explanation is in the document she handed me. I hadn't waited all that time to read a document so I asked her to explain it. She was so horrifically condescending. She had told me she would remove 1cm x 1cm of flesh but ended up removing more like a piece of nigiri (3x5). When I asked her about it, she told me "it's the metric system - centimeters, not inches" - as if the only reason I'd have questions is because I didn't understand. I have never been treated so disrespectfully by a doctor. I still give her 3 stars because the surgery was very neatly done and there is very little scarring. She is clearly good at what she does and I give credit where it's due. But she is not a compassionate doctor. More like a troll who is superb at surgery.

She said the receptionist kept on calling her to book the surgery appt. I told my mom that she definitely needs a 2nd opinion. This is not a pimple which you can just remove. After doing some research, I found Dr. Guth's profile very impressive and made an appointment. My mom's concern was that she doesn't speak English. What is amazing that is this facility has translators if you request for one in advance upon making an appt. What's good about her is that you can reach her anytime of the day and she will respond back to you within a day or two. The staffs were great and courteous. Facility is nice and clean. After meeting Dr. Guth, she said it is pre-cancerous. She would advise a lumpectomy. She said less is better. Removing the whole breast is not even necessary. My mom was shocked and relieved to hear what she had said. Dr. Guth was very patience and she explains it till her till she understands.. We decided to go with Dr. Guth as our doctor. Dr. Guth preformed the surgical procedure on my mother and the procedure was a success. I highly recommend her should you need a second opinion for Breast and Surgical Oncology. Dec 2015 She start to have sever pain in her inguinal hernia mesh area and it progressively getting worse until she wasnt able to walk. We did see many drs ,went to ER, took CT scan and MRI yet it showed nothing wrong with the mesh even when the original surgeon cut her open to recheck.all showed that sh is fine n mesh look great! She wasnt able to walk so we kept looking for a reliable dr even if we have to fly, we found th amazing dr jacob and We contact him,set an app and few days later we drove 8 hours to NYC to meet him ans god it worth it when she told him the symptoms he said its the mesh and he was willing to remove it,my wife srat crying. We Scheduled th surgery and sh got it removed smoothly. And i wasnt surprise when dr jacob informed us that th mesh was getting so hard inside her body and was penchin nerves which causes her sever pain. Th process from start to end less than a month. After years of unanswered questions and ongoing pain, I feel it's important to share my honest…read moreexperience so others can make their own informed decision. This is my honest review based on my experience. Dr. Jacob initially seemed kind, professional, and reassuring, which is why I trusted him with my last surgery. Unfortunately, my experience left me with serious concerns about transparency, communication, and postoperative care. Before surgery, we discussed removing the mesh as well as addressing painful lipomas, incision-related problems, and abdominal wall defects. Only the mesh was removed, and my symptoms remained essentially unchanged. I was also surprised to find four trocar incisions when I only remember discussing three. The painful lipoma remained in the same location after surgery and was eventually removed by a plastic surgeon. My concerns grew after surgery. I found little or no documentation of several preoperative visits. After I began asking questions and requesting records, the documentation on my patient portal became much more frequent and detailed. I also did not receive an operative report until weeks later, despite repeatedly requesting it. The document I eventually received did not appear to me to be the standard hospital operative report I expected, and I was unable to obtain nursing notes or other documentation that I believed would normally accompany a surgery. I was left without clear answers about what occurred during my procedure. That entire process continues to concern me years later. I went under anesthesia expecting my concerns to be addressed, but I woke up with more questions than answers. I felt violated as a patient, and the experience has stayed with me ever since. During follow-up visits, I often felt I had to pull information out of him rather than receiving clear explanations, leaving me uncertain about what he actually believed or recommended. I was referred to pain management, but I did not feel those referrals addressed the underlying cause of my pain. Some specialists were unable to offer a meaningful treatment plan, while others required substantial out-of-network payments, leaving me feeling like I had nowhere to turn. Years later, I am still seeking treatment for persistent abdominal wall pain. I continue to have the same painful incision and abdominal wall problems that led me to seek surgery in the first place. Based on my personal experience, I cannot recommend this surgeon. This experience has left lasting scars, both physically and emotionally. Honestly, this was the most dishonest encounter I have ever experienced with a doctor.

Usually people whose BMIs are over 40 can be candidates for some form of gastic weight loss surgery too. Another one of his postings...
