Again, another 2 weeks and we follow up and reached a representative who we left our contact information with and told we would receive a callback. We also texted the phone number to the dentist in an attempt for a follow up as they have sent and received texts in the past. It has been over 6 weeks and no word from the front desk representatives. At this point we give up. The dentist himself is very nice and is being fairly new to Georgia we would have loved to call this place our home dentist, however, the front desk staff appears to lack customer service essentially losing potential customers. We do not recommend this dental office.

I was going to give it three stars…read morebecause it was an average dental cleaning but what made me take down one star is that the dental office charges every patient a fee even if you have insurance (more on that later). I called other dentists in Atlanta and there are some with high ratings and new technology that do not charge an office fee. Before going to the dental cleaning I received several messages through email, text and call asking me to confirm my appointment. I confirmed my appt via a click of a button through an email and also again through text message. I would have appreciated only being "pinged" once to confirm. Then I received a call the day before asking me to provide my dental information by noon, which I had already emailed them the day before. When I got to the office, I was seen promptly. I mentioned to one of the staff that I had my records sent over a couple of days ago. They said they couldn't find them and asked why I would need to have my records sent. I just thought it was part of the process and that the dentist would be interested in my history and prior x-rays. They told me the dentist will be doing new x-rays so not to worry about the records not being found in their inbox. The x-ray process took about 10 minutes. That's when I started noticing that some of the technology/atmosphere is a little more outdated than I am used to. Just things like the chairs, and the overall ambience, but nothing was technically wrong with it. Also worth noting that my previous dentist usually takes my blood pressure before the cleaning and provides mouthwash. There wasn't any of that here. When the x-rays were done I wasn't communicated with about what the next steps would be. I was sitting there for about five minutes and didn't really know what to expect or what/who was coming next. I was also unsure of who my hygienist would be. Also the chair was not in a comfortable position for my back, but there was no staff around to tell so I kind of propped myself up while I was waiting for the next person to come presumably. After a few minutes, the dentist came over and said that she would be doing my cleaning. The cleaning was really a no-frills cleaning. My previous dentist (in a different state) had really new technology like noninvasive tools that can sense where cavities might be forming and they also have a screen on the ceiling above the chair. The cleaning here was a bit messy. I had water dripping all the way behind my neck and when I left I had spots of toothpaste on my face. I also didn't really feel like it was rinsed enough and I felt leftover toothpaste granules. Minor note, but I wasn't given an option of what toothpaste I wanted either. When the cleaning was over I went to the front and this is probably the biggest reason why I had to give it two stars instead of three. There is a $10 charge and it wasn't explained what that charge is for. This charge is for every single patient apparently. This is definitely not OK in my book given that insurance should pay for the entire cleaning. I understand that perhaps they needed to charge for Covid protocols (just a guess). The lack of explanation about the charge at the end did not feel good as a patient. I asked them if this was a co-pay because there should not be a co-pay. They simply said that it's an office charge. I should have really probed that more but I just paid and let it go and decided I won't be back. The staff were friendly so that was positive. But I definitely think that I am looking for a higher quality dental experience. My last dentist would spend time with patients for an hour, but here I was in and out pretty quickly. Also this is minor, but this office does not give out free toothbrushes or floss, or at least I didn't get anything and it wasn't offered to me. I think better communication, a more thorough exam, interest in my dental history, and of course not having any extra charge at the end would have really made it a better experience. I wouldn't say this is a bad dental clinic by any means but I just think it is more for patients who aren't looking to establish a dental "home" but those seeking an infrequent cleaning/procedure.

Although it was my first visit bringing our child it was her second visit we are just trying to get…read moreinto a routine cleaning rhythm every 6 months which is going to plan. We had our appointment scheduled ahead. There were no emergent issues. The second visit didn't require any scans. The lobby has a tv and a fish tank and a desk to check in at. Fairly standard stuff. The dentist chairs were not individual rooms but an open space where parents or significant others can be seated by the dental chair. I didn't see an OR for emergencies but we also didn't come in with any issues. The hygienist saw her first and the doc came behind to look at the mouth add some additional notes. Our kiddo still has those baby teeth which we expect will fall out in the next year. Doc and hygienist were great. All in all an easy visit in and out in 30 mins. Next visit will be 6 months from now.

Mind you I've been coming to Laser Dentistry since I moved to GA in 2018 and Dee my hygienist up until she left over a year ago was the absolute best. Ever since she left, I've not been too pleased with my cleanings and Tara gets crowned "the rudest, most uncaring, rushed job, smart mouth Queen. When she started, she was rough and I told her I have sensitive teeth and asked her to be more gentle. She said "I can tell by the look on your face" and laughed. I said, Yes, you're too rough". She proceeded and was still rough and rushing. I told her she was hurting me and she replied, "Sometimes we have to bear the grit and pain". It took everything in me not to snap on her because she clearly had no clue that I'm a loyal patient but I'm not some kid she can talk down to. After literally 15 or 20 minutes, she was done. I asked her what happened to polishing my teeth and she told me she did that first. I said, "oh really". Oh I forgot to say the first round of X-rays she did came back with "error" so she had to do them again and was very rough with the "bite" process as well. After Dr Nguyen came in to check X-rays etc, he told her to do something that should've done initially that she failed to do. Then after that she told me I was done. Mind you she never gave me a rinse so my mouth felt gritty and she didn't give me my dental care package. I complained about her at checkout and thankfully Caroline went and got my rinse and Char got my care package but I overheard her tell Char, "She was only here 30 minutes" as if that was justification for her not giving me my care package. All I know is I told them I would not sit in her chair again and that she needs a whole lot of training on bedside manners and not rushing! She thought it was all funny. Luckily, I love the staff because my experience with her made me think about finding a new dentist. However, I realize she's the bad apple in the bunch and she will not run me away. So warning, go to Laser but if you want a great teeth cleaning and good bed side manners, stay away from Tara's chair. She SUCKS! Love the rest of the team tho.. so they get 5 stars but Ms Tara gets a negative 5. I said what I said. Tara, do better! PeriodT!
