Awesome service and totally kid friendly environment. Made kids comfortable and happy with all kids of updated gadgets, while being thorough and professional; which is what I needed the most.

This was my daughter & I's first experience with a pediatric dentist and I am blown away. The front desk greeted us upon arriving and was very nice. Then when called back the dental assistant was also very nice and made my daughter very comfortable and feel safe. I was nervous she wouldn't open her mouth and let them look but to my surprise she did amazing. Let them count, brush and floss with out a peep. When Dr Herrin came to check her teeth also he was very polite and informative about what we needed to do as my daughters teeth are a little crowded and most toddlers have space in between teeth so we need to floss a little more often and such. I'm very pleased with our experience and I'm happy to say my daughter is not apprehensive to return

PLEASE READ THIS REVIEW IF YOU WANT THE TRUTH! I was reading some of the below reviews and I am…read moreconvinced that people are just crazy, delusional, or writing fake reviews for other offices. I had to write this review because we have been living in East Cobb for years, and we have always loved this office! We use to see Dr Allen too, but he has hired some amazing, certified, great with kids, doctors to help while he is in school. The other day I asked the office manager when will he return. She told me he will be done in less than a year. I think it's awesome that he is getting a degree in ortho to make his office even better than it is now! Some people wrote that each time they come to the office, there is a new doctor. NOT true, you can request the same doctor, there are only two others. But what century are these people living in? I NEVER see my regular annual doctor but always see his assistant or nurse practitioner whichever one is available. It's the same concept here people. This office even has a 24 hour emergency number. My daughter fell off her bike and hit her front tooth year ago. Dr Allen opened the office at 6 o'clock on a Sunday to look at her. Each time we go to this office everyone is very professional. When we get there we are always taken back at our appointment time and all the girls there from the front reception area, hygienist, to the x-rays lady is pain free and nice. My Kids get prizes at the end of their appointments. And they always ask to go back just to play. Take it from this East Cobb Mom, you will call this place home! Thank you ladies and Dr Allen for being there for years and making us always feel like family. To everyone else reading this, you will not be disappointed.

My daughter had her second appointment there yesterday. Her first appointment was at about 16 months of age and she was quite freaked out (entirely due to her age) but the staff was completely calm about it and made it as quick and fun as possible for her. They even have a "quiet room" for small children or patients who may be a bit more anxious. Her appointment yesterday was perfect. The hygienist and then dentist both explained what they were doing and talked and sang to my daughter the whole time. Seriously the best pediatric dentistry. Go!

We prioritize dental care and have consistently maintained regular visits and hygiene for our children since their first teeth appeared. However, during the visit, I was surprised and uncomfortable with comments made by the dentist regarding our family's infant feeding choices, especially given the fact that my son was well past the infant feeding stage and had/has no known oral hygiene or development issues. Specifically, I was told that formula feeding from a bottle was "unfortunate" and that "this practice likes our babies breastfed". While I understand there may be clinical reasons for discussing feeding and oral development, the delivery felt judgmental and inappropriate given the context and timing. I hope the practice considers a more sensitive approach when discussing personal family decisions with patients and gets a complete medical history from parents before making them feel ashamed for their feeding decisions.

On the day of the procedure, they presented a surprise bill for $2,800--a $1,000 increase with no prior notice. Beyond the billing issues, the front desk conduct is deeply concerning. The receptionist, Hailey, displays a clear shift in demeanor based on the ethnicity of the patients she is assisting. From both personal experience and observation, it is evident she lacks the professionalism to treat African American patients with the same courtesy as others. When I chose to reschedule and eventually cancel due to these red flags, they refused to refund my deposit. This isn't just a "misunderstanding"--it's a predatory practice. Save your time and your money.

Our older child has had decent experiences there for dental care. They have TVs above the chair to help keep them entertained/distracted. Unfortunately, once we brought our younger child, it became clear that the positive experiences only exist for compliant children. Our younger one (2 at the time) was afraid of the cleaning and was not cooperating, at least not quickly. As soon as it became clear that he was not having it, the hygienist started pressuring me to hold him down and hold his mouth open so that she could do the cleaning. I explained that, since she had already informed me his teeth were healthy and clean, we would settle for a normal tooth brushing so as not to reinforce his fear. Since he didn't really need a full cleaning at that moment, my priority was to create a positive experience so that he would not develop an enduring fear of the dentist. I also explained that, when possible, we try to respect their bodily autonomy, and I did not feel comfortable holding him down and prying his jaw open when it was not truly necessary. She replied "so if he needs a shot at the pediatrician, what do you do?" That was the moment we decided not to continue with Peak. I did not go there to have my parenting choices judged, and if they disagree that creating a positive experience is important for a 2 year old, then they are not the right fit for us. And by the way, yes, we do hold him still as needed for life-saving vaccinations; that is not the same as a routine dental cleaning. Had he needed an actual procedure, we would have figured out how to make it happen, but that was not the case. When Dr. Cassinelli came in, she was short and brusk, and clearly annoyed with us before she even walked in. This had not been our experience with her in the past; I suppose the hygienist had told her we were being difficult? Finally, they give children tokens for prizes without asking parents. When the 5 year old received one and got to choose a price from the machine, of course the two year old wanted one as well. He was given an age appropriate toy, and they would not exchange it for a token for him as well (again, I am the parent and can judge which toys my child can handle). So, in addition to being scared and having an overall terrible experience, he was also devastated that he did not get a cool prize from the machine like his big brother. A big nope for our little guy, we are switching to a new practice that will respect me as a parent and him as a full human with feelings.
