I was going to give it three stars…read morebecause it was an average dental cleaning but what made me take down one star is that the dental office charges every patient a fee even if you have insurance (more on that later). I called other dentists in Atlanta and there are some with high ratings and new technology that do not charge an office fee. Before going to the dental cleaning I received several messages through email, text and call asking me to confirm my appointment. I confirmed my appt via a click of a button through an email and also again through text message. I would have appreciated only being "pinged" once to confirm. Then I received a call the day before asking me to provide my dental information by noon, which I had already emailed them the day before. When I got to the office, I was seen promptly. I mentioned to one of the staff that I had my records sent over a couple of days ago. They said they couldn't find them and asked why I would need to have my records sent. I just thought it was part of the process and that the dentist would be interested in my history and prior x-rays. They told me the dentist will be doing new x-rays so not to worry about the records not being found in their inbox. The x-ray process took about 10 minutes. That's when I started noticing that some of the technology/atmosphere is a little more outdated than I am used to. Just things like the chairs, and the overall ambience, but nothing was technically wrong with it. Also worth noting that my previous dentist usually takes my blood pressure before the cleaning and provides mouthwash. There wasn't any of that here. When the x-rays were done I wasn't communicated with about what the next steps would be. I was sitting there for about five minutes and didn't really know what to expect or what/who was coming next. I was also unsure of who my hygienist would be. Also the chair was not in a comfortable position for my back, but there was no staff around to tell so I kind of propped myself up while I was waiting for the next person to come presumably. After a few minutes, the dentist came over and said that she would be doing my cleaning. The cleaning was really a no-frills cleaning. My previous dentist (in a different state) had really new technology like noninvasive tools that can sense where cavities might be forming and they also have a screen on the ceiling above the chair. The cleaning here was a bit messy. I had water dripping all the way behind my neck and when I left I had spots of toothpaste on my face. I also didn't really feel like it was rinsed enough and I felt leftover toothpaste granules. Minor note, but I wasn't given an option of what toothpaste I wanted either. When the cleaning was over I went to the front and this is probably the biggest reason why I had to give it two stars instead of three. There is a $10 charge and it wasn't explained what that charge is for. This charge is for every single patient apparently. This is definitely not OK in my book given that insurance should pay for the entire cleaning. I understand that perhaps they needed to charge for Covid protocols (just a guess). The lack of explanation about the charge at the end did not feel good as a patient. I asked them if this was a co-pay because there should not be a co-pay. They simply said that it's an office charge. I should have really probed that more but I just paid and let it go and decided I won't be back. The staff were friendly so that was positive. But I definitely think that I am looking for a higher quality dental experience. My last dentist would spend time with patients for an hour, but here I was in and out pretty quickly. Also this is minor, but this office does not give out free toothbrushes or floss, or at least I didn't get anything and it wasn't offered to me. I think better communication, a more thorough exam, interest in my dental history, and of course not having any extra charge at the end would have really made it a better experience. I wouldn't say this is a bad dental clinic by any means but I just think it is more for patients who aren't looking to establish a dental "home" but those seeking an infrequent cleaning/procedure.

I had some of the worst dental pain I've ever experienced last weekend (Saturday into Sunday…read morenight), and I was honestly just trying to find someone who could help quickly. I reached out to a few offices, and Dr. K actually called me back himself and got me scheduled the same day. From the moment I walked in, the experience felt easy. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and didn't waste time getting to the root of the issue (no pun intended). He took care of what he could right away and made sure I was referred to an endodontist for a root canal without any delay. What really stood out to me was the follow-up. He personally checked on me before my procedure and again after, just to make sure I was okay. That level of care isn't something you come across often. I'll definitely be continuing my dental care with him and his office. One thing I do want to mention: if you're scrolling through older reviews, just know those are from years ago and reflect a completely different doctor and staff. From my experience, that's not what this office is now at all. I wouldn't want that to take away from what he's building. Grateful I found them when I needed it most. Highly recommend.

E X P E R I E N C E Called in on a Mon around 1pm to make an appt as a new patient. Rochelle was v friendly and quick. She put me in and asked me to complete check in paperwork and signed documents online, prior to my arrival. When I went in for my 7am appt, I was 10 mins late (drove past the complex lol) but the front desk lady was gracious about it. My hygienist Tracy was v sweet, talkative and easy to communicate with. My teeth felt v clean and polished, after she cleaned it. She referenced the XRs while she was cleaning. She noted that the WaterPik doesn't replace flossing (which I know but I'm literally the worst. That's just sooo much. First world probs. Ik. just ignore me). So she rec that I do waterpik at night and flossing in the morning. Sigh. I'll do my best.. Dr Sheth came timely to attend to me. She looked thru my XRs briefly, asked me if I had any concerns, then addressed them, specifically, with things I could do. I told her I had some sensitivity in my lower rear molars, on both sides. She said that I should brush my teeth in a circular manner w my electric toothbrush using Sensodyne, rinse with ACT (that she provided in a little take home care pkg), paint my molars with some Sensodyne, then put my retainers on. PS she also complimented me on my "beautiful teeth," and I almost died inside bc yaaass!! whenever someone says smtg, it makes me feel like the time, the money, the frustration, and literally the entire lifetime of orthodontics was worth it (so vain but whatever. fight me). I was told by Tracy that Dr Sheth does prefer a more conservative approach, but is open to my concerns. B E D S I D E M A N N E R My hygienist Tracy was v sweet, personable. We talked about a variety of topics and she was still prompt to do her job. I love that. Fantastic multi tasking skills. And theyre all v close and wheelchair accessible, to the bldg. I N T E R I O R Interior is clean. Spacious. There is seating inside the office to the right and straight, you'll see the front desk. I didn't quite pay attention to the wall art or anything like that bc I was a little ruffled. I N F E C T I O N P R E V E N T I O N Upon my arrival, they called me to check me in. I waited outside the office before it was my turn to be brought directly into the room. They checked my temperature before I entered. Hand sanitizer was available in the little room I was in. I don't remember if it was available on the front desk. I didn't see them clean any surfaces so I'm not sure if they sanitize all high touch surfaces like computer, light, cabinet doors, etc. But I did see my hygienist open a sterilized package for an item that she ended up needing. They have a cool gadget (idk what its called) but basically its this huge hose that they put next to your face that pulls the aerosolized particles into it and then filters it thru 5 hepa filters (that's what my hygienist told me at least). That's cool. I appreciate that this practice cares. Doesn't hurt to be more safe than sorry right? Also there are clear acrylic barriers placed on the front desk to protect the front desk employees. Not only were they accepting new patients, but Cheyenne was very accommodating and helped me verify my insurance was accepted. To add the cherry on top, I was able to schedule an appointment the next day! Not even kidding! Fast-forward to yesterday, I had my teeth cleaned by a super thorough and friendly hygienist named, Jenni. It also should be noted that they have a lot of technology that MAKES the patient experience... From massaging dental chairs to portable x-ray machines to 3-D images of your teeth. High five! I was also able to see Dr. Merandi yesterday, And let me tell you... I felt like I had been her patient for years and immediately trusted she had my well-being in mind. Dr. Merandi, Cheyenne, and Jenni all provided an elevated patient experience. The building is GORGEOUS. The rooms are COMFY. The hours are CONVENIENT. The atmosphere is WELCOMING.
