There is a water machine, you can help yourself to water. The waiting area is not overly large so I am sure she is careful not to overbook. She was able to squeeze me in on short notice which I appreciated. She did a wonderful job on my up-do... it wasn't really an up-do as it was more of a style. When making a new appointment you should expect to wait; everyone is very booked up but definitely worth the wait! Dimitra fixed my messy mane after a new colourist took over after my old colourist moved to the UK. I always sit down and just ask her to fix my hair and she always knows what to do and makes it look beautiful. Joe cuts my hair without only ever taking off just as much as is needed and doesn't over style or use to many products. The receptionist are sweet, friendly and very efficient. I followed Alex here years ago after she moved to this location from a competing hairdresser. She is my savior and the only person I trust my hair with. She is certainly eccentric and will not apologize for having a foul mouth, which is fine by me cause she does an excellent job. Sure, there's always a wait, as being on time often takes a backseat to a good gossip session or titillating story, but that's the price of beauty. The place is clean, the staff are usually great and the prices are moderate. You can't ask for much more, especially in this neighborhood! I also go upstairs to visit Rafi for a wax every few weeks. She is a phenomenal individual and esthetician. I won't pretend she's the most gentle, but she does an excellent job at giving the client what they ask for... I also appreciate that she doesn't hard-sell extra services. Her prices are fairly moderate and she has excellent bed-side manner. Heads up, the front-desk lady/secretary isn't always the friendliest, but I think after a dozen years or so, I've finally gotten on her good side. Just be quick and to the point and you might actually squeeze a smile out of her on your way out.
