It seems like the menu changes a lot, because the menu is always a laminated piece of paper. Although they have a few menus available, when the store is busy it's difficult to get access to a menu without crowding someone. I like how AK Frost takes care to manage the number of customers in the store, but if menus were made available to people waiting to go inside it could benefit everyone. I'm going to make an effort to stop by here more often when I'm on that side of town. This is a great, low stress shop with a good selection.

He says the product is quality as well. We both agree that this location on a side street is a bonus as well since many adults don't want to advertise that they partake. Side note, this store is really cool inside- it's made to look like an old fashioned apothecary with beautiful custom woodwork and floors of copper pennies.

You get outside of any city over 50K in MN and it is deep red, but MT and AK are deep red to the core. I don't partake very often, but I believe it should be a personal choice that is not criminalized for medicinal or recreational purposes. No desire to smoke it, but gimme those gummies when I can indulge in the forbidden fruit. They seemed to have a very large selection. Cash or debit cards only. No credit cards. The building is in one of the sketchier areas of downtown, but seems well positioned to draw visitors further down the avenue. If they do well, it may be a real boon for other business owners in the area. As soon as I walked into this CAVERNOUS retail space, it was apparent the owner is a visionary with real business sense. I immediate discerned the plan is for this to be a gathering space. I confirmed with the owner that if things go as planned and ordinances allow, this will be Alaska's first location where public consumption of cannabis is permitted. Tourists, take note- this is a boon for you! There's a couple other neato things about this place that are fairly unique. It shall be quite interesting to see how it all shakes out. At present, their products are quite limited and cost a bit more than other places in town. Parking is also going to be an issue, since there's limited street parking and the whole area is a maze of one way streets. They have ATMs for your convenience.

I can tell you of the three places in town that are the biggest and cheapest, AK Slow Burn had varieties I hadn't seen anywhere (not Houston, not Soldotna, so I have no idea where they are getting them...) But they looked very very dry to me. So I would say I inspect your purchase carefully. Of course you can't go wrong with shatter since it doesnt dry out if you like that sort of thing. But at 91% THC, I'm not sure how a person is supposed to function, but this is great pain control for someone with cancer! And at $43 for half gram , it was a good deal.

So this place is quite interesting... At present, it is the site of grow operations and a tiny…read morediscrete dispensary. It's sister storefront, AK Green Light is a stones throw away around the corner on Northern Lights. AK Green Light, which is not yet open as of Feb 2017, will eventually be the main retail locations. But due to all the hoops cannabis operators have to go through, Ak Green Light is still tied up in red tape and not yet open to the public. In the interim, Fuzzy Budz is their sole retail outlet. The location is a non-descript converted home on teeny Eagle Street. At the time of my writing, the street is so packed with walls of snow that the store is barely visible from the street that's only 8 feet away. In winter, street parking is absolutely out of the question. There's about 8 parking spots in their lot, one of which is designated for handicapped customers with easy access to a ramp. The retail shop at the front of the building is little more than a foyer in which you place your order through a window. Even though i wasn't there to make a purchase, the staff was happy to answer my questions. As a gardener, I was interested to note this is the only place in Anchorage that seems to have C. Sativa in stock. Most shops in town are only selling C. Indica and hybrids- everyone I've asked has indicated that's what growers in Alaska are growing. They've all said there's very little available as soon as they get it in stock it sells out. This makes me wonder if the Fuzzy Budz folks are the only ones growing the Sativa species... (As a dorky gardner, I find this whole cannabis thing pretty interesting even though I don't smoke.) Anyway, what they told me is the indica is what causes you to get "couch lock" and the munchies and sativa makes you happy/high and in some cases, paranoid. The hybrids, of which there are apparently thousands, will produce combinations of effects. The prices listed seemed consistent with every other place in town. I would think that since they are cutting out the middle man and growing their own, we might expect to eventually see their prices be more competitive that the other retail shops in town. We'll see!
