This shop is really something to admire. I passed by on a walk down Main street after hours and…read morepeeked through the storefront window in awe. I made it my mission to come back and explore so on a recent rainy Sunday I made my return. There are so many different plant options and standard clay pots. More interesting hanging Japanese art style kokedama. The shop appeals to all my senses including the wonderful scents of dried fruits used for decor and the fresh cuts being propagated. There's a small outdoor space that I would say is a garden workshop which was absolutely gorgeous dripped in the day's rains where I found drying bouquets and a small corner of rescue ready plants if you like a risky project- like I do lol. You should visit and tell them I sent you.

The helper who was staffing when we visited was super friendly and helpful. I came in to just look at everything and wasn't planning on buying a plant, but I was able to pickup some Instant Plant Food for 50% off and also some mosquito bits--which were remarkably affordable ($2 a scoop of what felt like a small solo cup). There are a ton of little trinkets here in regards to flora, from ceramic planters to little ceramic sculptures that are designed to guard your space and plants from bad energy. While they were a little too out of budget for me, they were a pleasure to look at. The variety of plants was great as well. All the plants seemed well taken care of and if I was trying to acquire new buddies for my home, I would definitely stop here. They have quite a bit of supplies for propagation as well, which I appreciated seeing. Everything is just so cute!!!

I saw what was received and really didn't feel like we got our money's worth. The flowers, although fresh and well arranged, were grocery store flowers, and the box of chocolates was a candy bar. I am grateful that whoever arranged the flowers took it upon themself to gussy up the bar of chocolate with some cute ribbon, but I purchased "Box of Chocolates", not "gas station chocolate bar". If these were for a good friend or family member and not a distant former colleague's partner, I would have been mortified by what they received Even though it missed the mark for us, I understand that small businesses have to cut corners sometimes, but it seems that's not the case with this business. When I was placing my order online I saw an additional "service fee". An explanation of the fee appears only at checkout and states: "Good News! This applies to first-time online orders only. We appreciate your repeat business, so you won't see this charge next time you order using the same email address."  We promptly called to ask for an explanation as to what exactly that fee is for. The nice young lady who answered explained that it was a third party fee for their tech provider that does their website and e-commerce. I intially assumed this was a separate and unaffiliated third party, but when my husband asked if that was the case, we were reluctantly informed that their shop was recently acquired by the big tech company that charges that fee. Which sounded weird because why would a tech company buy a flower shop and why would it also need to charge a service fee if they own the shop?? Super strange... So,I guess this 'service fee' is about ten bucks that isn't going towards the flowers, the box of chocolates; (or in this case, chocolate bar) it's not even going towards the delivery or as a gratuity to anyone making or delivering my gift. I've bought flowers many times before and when I order directly from a REAL florist, I've never been charged any sort of fee that can't be accounted for or justified. Bottom line is if you want to pay at least an extra ten dollars and then some that won't go towards your flowers, the staff, or anything else you might be ordering, this is probably what you're looking for.  If you're looking to get what you pay for though, I would recommend going through a real local florist, not a big tech company like the folks who apparently now own Flowers by Reni.

We agreed on an amount and that if any additional work or flowers were needed, I would get a call to request approval before moving forward with a higher cost. I never received a phone call and then when I called to follow up and confirm my arrangement was being worked on, I was told it went up an additional $100 because more flowers were needed. I received a picture and i was not thrilled with the work so I asked for additional greenery to be added and to define the heart shape more since it looked more like a circle. I was later charged an additional $200 and was told I cannot get a picture of the updated version, when I requested it after a charge of $300 OVER our agreed upon amount was charged to my credit card. She held my flowers hostage outside of the funeral home until the full payment was made. Additionally there were surcharges and delivery fees that were never disclosed and added at the end without notice. It's not the cost that is the issue, it was the lack of transparency that wasn't right. I would never recommended this florist to anyone, especially someone who is grieving and vulnerable. I was taken advantage of and was extremely dissatisfied by the work.
