This is a pretty setting; you drive into the Clubhouse/Restaurant through the vineyards. I was not too impressed with the pruning of the grapes; they did not have adequate shade like I was used to seeing in the Sunnyslope vineyards (seemed overpruned). But maybe it works for them IDK. So we started with a wine flight, 1 oz. in each of five wines. I selected Chardonnay, Reisling, Reserve Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot. The white wines weren't all that impressive; the Chardonnay was the weakest watery wine I ever remembering tasting. The Riesling wasn't bad but it really lacked in tartaric acid crispness. The Reserve Merlot wasn't bad either but could use more acid as well. I thought he Cabernet Franc was decent; this is a grape that vintners typically make red blends with. The Petit Verdot was OK but it lacked some boldness & tannin that this grape usually provides. Prices were reasonable for a botique winery but I wasn't persuaded to buy any bottles. So on to the meal. I ordered the Steamer Clams in white wine and they tasted very good. I was impressed that the broth was not oversalted and they brought some delicious toast to dip into it. I asked if the raspberry and blueberry cheesecake were NY style and neither our servers or the manager knew what NY style meant so I simply ordered the NY Style Cheesecake to be sure. It was indeed NY style dense and decent but it had some kind of heavy cream layer on top about 3/8" thick. It wasn't bad but it did mask some of the cheesecake rich taste and threw the dessert out of balance IMO. Our server was friendly and fairly attentive but lagged bringing the check when we were finished. It's a fun setting and there is a group dining room. Some rough edges did show through; the manager was obnoxiously loud and the back house ice porter came out in a sleeveless shirt to refill the ice bin (yuk). They do have dinner specials on Saturdays and live music on Friday & Saturday nights so this might be a good time to check them out.

"Little Natalie" took care of us and she was super attentive and knowledgeable. We opted for two different wine flights, and it was the best decision--we got to taste a wide variety of wines. Plus, the flights come with a souvenir wine glass to take home! As a red wine enthusiast, I was blown away by their white wines: 100% Viognier and 100% Pinot Gris. I ended up buying two bottles! I also really enjoyed their reds: the Oktopus Syrah and 100% Malbec. We paired our wine with a charcuterie board featuring Gouda and Garlic Chive Cheddar. The Gouda was our favorite, and the board had an impressive presentation with mixed nuts, chocolate covered almonds, crackers, dried fruit, olives, and salami. Having visited Napa, Sonoma, and Temecula multiple times, I can confidently say this place surpasses some of the wineries I've been to. Loved the atmosphere and hospitality. We can't wait to come back on our next visit!

Since it's in Garden City and close to the airport, it made picking them up so much easier than dealing with all the airport traffic. Of course, our friends arrived before us and already had a bottle of wine waiting! This will definitely become one of our go-to spots whenever we're meeting friends arriving in Boise--or enjoying one last glass before dropping them off for their flight. Weather permitting, sitting outside along the Greenbelt makes the experience even better. Great wine, beautiful surroundings, and such a convenient meeting spot!

We love a small boutique winery like this and reminds us of where we have another house in Lodi, California. That region is filled with small batch, boutique wineries just like this. He offered a taste test of a few wines, which led me to purchasing a bottle that I might not have otherwise stumbled upon. There was also a wall full of different coffee beans and a grinder so you could prepare your beans just the way you like them. There was also a wall full of different types of oils and vinegars. A lovely young lady assisted us in testing those, too. Everyone we encountered was incredibly friendly and helpful. I saw that they do cooking classes and, for a brief moment, pictured myself wearing an apron learning from these fine folks how to make something exquisite.
