I probably go here too much. There are only a few coffee places in town. I'd argue those include Starbucks in a grocery store, Brie'sta, Duch Bros, and Mudslingers. Our Starbucks is usually out of everything (they've told me "sorry, local supply" in response). Brie'sta is loved by many, but I haven't had that experience there yet, and I'm not sure I'm emotionally prepared to share my life story with the Broestas at Dutch. Taking all that into account, you'd be excused if you settled for Mudslingers. Fortunately, you don't have to settle. It's amazing. The menu is dynamic (the Dirty Turtle is my fav), the sandwiches are awesome, and they are all about local! Recently they just had a special purple drink recognizing the Month of the Military Child. The workers are the best. It's a very natural kindness vibe, I'm always happy to have a conversation! Do yourself a favor, just go here! The only criticism I have of this place is that seating is outdoor only (pretty much all of the places in MH, and those that do exist are uncomfortable), but this is really only an issue in the winter. Such a unique and fun place to get ice cream! They have a host of flavor combinations and mixins! I don't get to mtn home often but try to always stop here now when I do. The service has always been excellent and the workers kind! They help you pick and choose through all the options. I tried their pb and j mocha and it was amazingly good! However, Everytime I go I now get an icecream creation called The Kitchen Sink! "Its Layered Farr's vanilla ice cream with oreo cookies, hot fudge, Hot Caramel, more oreo cookies, and topped with whipped cream. This treat comes with a bumper sticker to show off!" Def don't miss this spot if your ever in Mtn Home or passing through and you want coffee or ice cream. It is a hut off the highway to the airbase. Went to mudslingers today debating on what to get. i finally decided to do my normal cold brew with vanilla and french vanilla and sweet foam and everything went good the service was good my friends drink was literally perfect ! but with my drink it tasted like water with a very tiny hint of coffee! no vanilla flavor. barely any sweet foam. i see the residue on the lid but not in my drink. it feels like im drinking just brown water. this is not my normal cold brew drink that i obsess over ‍ any other time is fine but this time was sad i was craving this. i paid $5 for this drink and i couldn't tip today so i feel like this was against me! my friend tipped and hers is perfect but mine isn't ! read more

UPDATED: I just went back and decided to try again and get a different drink and I did take a receipt, the girl at the window, her name was Emma, was super sweet and got my dog a pup cone. She even offered to throw away my empty cup in the car when I was looking for space for my drink. I got the Mango Mule, and it was very good. I had asked a couple questions and she answered them with ease. The other girl, I believe her name was Ashlyn? Made my drink very well! Good drink and good customer service today. I recommend going when these two are working, thank you Emma and Ashlyn. 1st review- Would not recommend this place if you like having a variety when it comes to drinking different things. I was really looking forward to getting a caffeinated drink, so I got a red bull drink and my friend got another, two different flavors yet they tasted nearly the same thing when it came to taste and look, I believe we were given the same thing. It's ran by young girls so there's a high chance my order was messed up. I had a couple questions since I have never been there before and when I was asking them, the one taking our drink order had an attitude and I could tell there was an issue for asking a couple questions... she had blonde hair, yay high, wearing an apron and very short shorts. In my opinion, a young girl should not be allowed to wear that short of shorts unless you're working at hooters. Super inclusive options! There is no other coffee shop in town that offers as many sugar free flavors. Keto and dairy free too! Blew my mind that they make dairy free milkshakes! Their espresso shots also don't taste like ash tray, can't say the same for different shops in town unfortunately. The patio is so nice in the summer! The staff is always so hopeful, especially with the multitude of questions I have pertaining to dairy allergies. read more

Mudslingers has fun drinks and it's conveniently on airbase road if you want to stop and get a drink on your way to base! The only thing is that it is also located next to a couple other coffee shops so it feels like the area is over saturated. read more

Today around 6:40pm I went to The MudSlingers to grab a Zebra frappe, Cheesecake cream Frappe and the Idaho Creampie Donuts. Upon pulling up to the window I was greeted by the most kind/wonderful/authentic woman I have ever met. She was so kind and polite. She informed us that she was the only one working the shift and to give her some time to make the drinks. Once she finished making our order she asked if we were new around town or new to MudSlinger. We told her that we were new to Mountain home and she then proceeded to tell us to go to the visitor center so that we may explore and see what beautiful places Idaho has to offer. This customer service has to be the best service I have ever received in my life. You have gained a customer for life. Thank you very much for making our night. I love the convenience of a drive thru coffee spot that also has food on my way to work! The quality of the coffee here is great as is the food options. Most coffee places in town don't have great food options and when I really want a bagel, this is the only convenient place to get it besides dragging the bag out of my freezer! I'm a huge cowboy fan but really any of the coffee drinks are perfect for my caffeine fix and bring a joy to me as I head down the open road to work. Quick and kind, and the quality tops, while prices are a smidge higher than other places in town, it's worth it. read more

Went through the drive thru in a Sunday around 9:00 am. I ordered a Thin Mint Mocha Frap which wasn't on their current menu, but they made for me. I also ordered an iced white mocha, which I was able to get half as sweet. The drinks come with paper straws. (YAY!) I also ordered 2 burritos with sausage, which were very fresh and a good size. I mentioned that I was new in town, and the woman was very informative, she even gave me a visitors guide and talked about things to do in the area as my burritos were being made. They even have a military discount. I will definitely be back, I love drive thru coffee and this one was very accommodating, tasted good, and was very fresh. read more

These people know their coffee! I have been here many times, each time trying a different one and I haven't had one disappoint me yet. They have that perfect mix of strong but not bitter and the sweet lattes are not sickeningly so. The only food we have tried so far was the hot fudge sundae. It hit the spot! I stop here at least twice a week. Not because I have a coffee habit but because their bagel sandwiches are absolutely delicious! My favorite is the blt. These things are huge and come with potato chips and a cookie. Makes me feel like a kid again! Oh, also they now have ice cream! The hot fudge sunday is my new after work treat! I am pretty impressed!!! I am a huge coffee drinker so I am quite particular about "good" coffee. The woman at the window was polite and very kind when I told her that I was new in town and knew nothing about their coffee. She also gave me suggestions based on the flavors I like in my coffee and then made me an iced coffee based on that. This by far has been the best coffee spot in mountain home, ID. I know there are newer places that have opened, that appear to have been the craze, but if you are looking for a coffee drink that tastes like coffee, great espresso flavor and mixtures of their specialty drinks. The service is amazing and even after the first visit, the barista made a point to remember us and make us feel comfortable. At our second visit, the service was the same and she continued to build rapport. This place has it all, the best tasting coffee, the best and most committed service, and the best prices. I have tried all the coffee places locally, and this by a "mudslide" takes the top spot. Give this place a try, it will be worth your time. Oh and another addition, you will get the chocolate covered coffee bean on both your hot and iced drinks, where at other local places they are only offered on hot beverages, just another reason that puts this place over the top. read more
