Love this spot! The selection is great and there are quite a few specials as well. There are endless possibilities when it comes to making your own creation, too. You can also get premise cakes and tubs of ice cream. It's nice and clean inside with a quiet setting. The tables are small, but in a good way lol. Outdoor seating is an option here also, but there aren't any table outside; just large benches. The bathroom was clean as well. Each of the employees were wonderful! I'm not a "spooky szn" type of person, but Coldstone got me in the Halloween mood. I've been told by my girlfriend of "Boo Batter ice cream" for about week, so I took her advice and went in for a late night snack. I tell you what, aside from its odd color, the great mix of Kit Kat, Halloween Oreos, cake batter ice cream, and M&Ms spooked my taste buds with how delicious the combination was! Its a great treat for the season. Definitely recommend stopping in and getting this ice cream! The staff was super kind and patient with explaining what all goes into the Boo Batter. Pricey. Busy usually. I got some pre packed ice cream that had one, ONE PECAN PIECE IN A QUART OF ICE CREAM. ONE. I complained to the corporate office and never heard back. The ice cream was advertised as having pecans in it. ONE IS NOT PECANS. IT IS PECAN. Usually fairly clean. It's an ice cream place, so that's very good. Family friendly. Fairly friendly staff. My wife loves the Midnight Delight ice cream cake here and always likes having it on her birthday. I think it's pretty good, but not as wonderful as she thinks it is, and at 37 dollars I think it's quite expensive. Nevertheless, it's her birthday, so she gets to choose. Usually we just drive across town and pick it up but we decided to try out the delivery option they advertise on their webpage. That turned out to be a mistake. Twenty minutes after it was supposed to arrive, it still hadn't, but I did get an online survey about the quality of the cake, which made me wonder if it got delivered somewhere else by mistake. So I called the store. Whoever was in charge suggested I get in touch with Doordash but I told him I had no idea how to do that because I ordered from their website. So he called Doordash and called me back about 20 minutes later. It seems that the store had to open an hour late because the boss had a family emergency and Doordash, though unable to pick up the cake, nevertheless filled out a form saying the cake was delivered. He said he would try and have somebody in the store deliver the cake. I suggested he just void the initial credit card payment and we would come down and purchase the cake directly. So my wife wound up driving across town to pick the cake up, which is what we were trying to avoid. She did say, however, that the guy in charge (assistant manager?) was very apologetic and did his best to rectify the problem. I was idly wondering whether he was going to give us some kind of discount on the cake. He didn't, but he did give my wife a card good for two free "love it" creations in the future, which was nice of him. Once we finally got the cake back, my wife, as usual, loved it. So, all's well that ends well, but in the future I think we won't use their delivery option. read more

After our field Trip got canceled we had to make quick change of plans. With 25 kids and 7 staff we felt bad going but once we called and heard how excited they were it made us feel so much more welcomed! I think the workers that day were Jason and Hannah! Your typical Cold Stone Creamery. I used to love Cold Stone because I love being able to customize my own ice cream... but I've realized how many calories I was ingesting and how much money I was spending for essentially a large scoop of ice cream. I think the ice cream and flavors here are very good and you can't really replace Cold Stone ice cream if that's what you're craving. But I've recently discovered a handful of gelato shops in the area, and although I am also spending a handful of change for a few spatulas of chilled delightfulness that could buy me half a gallon at the grocery store... I feel that no ice cream can replicate the fresh rich flavor or quality real gelato. Dig in... summer's a comin'! I love Cold Stone! I think that their ice cream is way better then the stuff you can buy at the store, so I have no problem paying out for it. The service is friendly and quick. Even with long lines, the line moves fast. I do hate that they don't have at least one large table, but that's ok since you can just move the chairs around a bit. I go here almost every time I go to Ames! read more
