My wife and I went last night, while she waited in the car, I came into the store craving some of their delicious ice cream. However I wasn't greeted when I came in, but there was only one guest in line. There was 3 employees working and one was on their phone texting, another was working on a Togo order and the other was just listening to music on their AirPods. I waited for about 5 minutes and not a single employee said "we will be right with you or how can I help you?". After 5 minutes, I didn't say anything and just calmly walked out. I walked in with my new puppy who isn't old enough to walk on the floor because he isn't full vaccinated and we were told no dogs in the store by a man in a striped shirt, short hair, who looked like a manager. This is my local ice cream shop. I love the flavors and specifically the fact that they make milkshakes. I only order milkshake whenever I come here. I have always had a great experience, however - tonight when I went to order what I normally get, I was told "we don't do milkshakes... well... not at this hour." They have been able to maintain the same quality and flavor of ice cream throughout these years. So there's not really much to say here other than the Cookie Mint'ster is one of the best things. The rest of this review, instead, will focus on this particular location. The workers were 4 teenagers. At first it was 2, then 2 more (one boy/girl) came out of the back area doing who knows what. This probably contributed to the line of people waiting to place their order. Once everyone was served, all 4 of them disappeared to the back giggling and pulling out their phones. The ice cream is still good, but there needs to be some managerial presence here or it will lead to a bad experience for some people. read more

This reminds me of when my parents used to buy Coldstone Creamery as a kid. The inside is well kept, and the employees answer all your questions. The cake batter flavors were too sweet for my palate, but I eventually ended up getting the cheesecake with some frozen blueberries, frozen strawberries, and graham cracker crust. Seeing the workers smash the crunchy ingredients together with the ice cream was so oddly satisfying! Their small was filling enough for me that I skipped dinner the night I ate here. The worker who helped me did not skimp on the toppings mixed into the ice cream, so I was able to chew a little graham cracker crust and at least one berry with each bite of cold creamy goodness! It actually did taste like a berry cheesecake, except in scoopable form perfect for summer. I do think local ice cream shops taste smoother and richer than most chain stores, so that is why I only gave it 4/5. If you've ever been then you know you pick a size, an ice cream, and then decorate it with other delicious things like sprinkles, fruit, brownies, etc. My ice cream artist (thinking Subway here) was very pleasant and helpful. I decided to treat myself on a rainy day and ended up with a unique pink champagne sorbet with banana :) So yummy! I only wish they had vegan ice cream! The flavors are just endless. Unsanitary, Sloppy, Harassment Friday 7/15/22 9:45pm Worker wearing gloves, touching "everything" with gloves was also touching the ice cream instead of just using the scooper or tool to scrape in cup. I asked for a love it in a gotta haven't cup. He forgot so her transferred the ice cream and handed me a cup with ice cream all over the outside of the cup. I had to wash my hands in the bathroom just to pay the bill. Before me, he spilled my kids gummies. I told the manger who could care less. I told him to refund me. Not even an offer to make the situation right. On the way out I was telling the manager exactly why I was disgusted. A girl that was with the manager said, "when are you going to shut the F%*k up!" I was with my family consisting of 2 little kids. Kids later told me they were giving us the finger as we drove away. I know better than to waste my time fighting with fools. I also now know better than to eat at Cold Stone. Maybe the result of low pay but unsanitary, sloppy harassment is what I experienced at Cold Stone. This is my favorite place for ice cream. Their cake batter ice cream is to die for. I don't care what ingredients you put in next, the ice cream makes it. I'm not huge on their sinless flavors or sorbet, but I love the cake batter. You can choose to mix in pretty much any candy you can imagine. I always go for peanut butter cups or white chocolate chips, or heath bars. They've got premade combination too, which are always fun. They also sell ice cream cakes, but I've never had one.
