12/5/2024 8:30 P.M Came in to get ice cream and we got to the cash register and the workers started to complain about people coming in 45 minutes before they close right in front of us. They said they "hate this time of night it's like witching hour". Y'all need fired! Two chicks working. Hope they get talked to if the manager see this review. Cold stone is a pretty solid ice cream shop if you're looking for fun creations, but it is expensive. A small signature dish of ice cream is almost $6... that's for a small. I went to this location with a friend and we ordered the same thing so the employee doubled it.. after doubling it there was quite a bit extra so he offered to put it in a dish for us so we could have the extra which was very nice, but his coworker started chastising him in front of all the customers. I definitely think when rebuking a coworker it should be done privately and not in the front because it was awkward and unprofessional. Overall the ice cream was pretty good and the server was nice. Came here for a date. It was nice and chill. Cold stone is alright but I'm a Baskin Robins guy at heart. Their cones are pretty delicious compared to other places I've been to. The actual place is pretty quiet and doesn't get too much traffic. I definitely enjoy their milkshakes as well. Go give this cold stone a try! No real issues with ice cream or service, this location is just dirty and messy which is shocking in a COVID-19 world where everyone else is doing extra to be clean and hygienic! I was in Coralville Ia 6/29/21 in the afternoon and went to get ice cream at Stone Cold. I left without ice cream as the person behind the counter could not understand my order. I was the only customer at the counter but the serve person made it clear she did not want to help me. She just kept restating my order and telling me she didn't understand what I wanted. I am older but still quite capable of ordering ice cream. I will never go to that store again and hate that I had to give her one star to post this. Her pleasure at my confusion was apparent. I like the Ice Cream, but the singing that the management makes the staff do for receiving tips makes me cringe. No one should endure that humiliation for change. I have worked decades in the service industry, and their 'monkey sing' policy for tips makes me want to NOT tip for service. And that's just sad. read more

I love Cold Stone. You can pick your ice cream base, pick the ingredients to mix in and with a few waves of the spatula later you have a personalized ice cream treat. The staff here has always been very helpful and patient when I couldn't decide. read more

Went in at 4:45 for thirsty Thursday to get half price shakes. Waited in line for people in front of us to get their order which for some reason took every employee to make. Once we finally got waited on and ordered our shakes the manager interrupted " shakes are no longer half off! That special ends at 5 and it's 5:02! I told him I didn't think that was fare and he let us walk out empty handed. read more

If i could give this review 1/2 a star, I would! Its always fithy in the store too! My family and I visited this business today to celebrate Mother's Day, 4 people we're working today 3 were very pleasant but the fourth working a female was not. She was very rude to all the people ahead of us. A large family was ordering each spending an average of $5,, so the tab would be close to $40. This worker, appeared to be the shift manager was snapping at the family. The lady said to be patience and the worker continues to be snarky. We got up to order and my daughter asked for her favorite type and one of the nice girls asked the manager about the sorbet and she snapped for the worker to do this and she came down to the serving case leaned on it and said what do you want very rudely. I spoke up for my daughter now because the manager came at my daughter in a hostile manner. At this point I was trying very hard to remain considerate to her. My husband said it best. "Why would I give my money to this business when they employee such a nasty peraon?" We left with oir $30.00 still in our wallets. The ice cream was grand! Kate, a staff member, was quite possibly the rudest member of any customer service staff that I have ever encountered. She informed me that we could only have just one type of ice cream and she was most impatient in an empty ice cream shoppe. The elderly couple that entered shortly after were greeted and treated in the exact same matter. It was hard for me not to say anything to her upon departure for how awful she was and that she should work at a froyo creamery where people serve themselves and you don't have to say a word to the customers. I asked her if so had a special type of sorbet I liked and she said "Oh well we don't carry that anymore" with attitude. This place has wonderful ice cream. The people working there are always nice. Even though it's delicious, it's not a cheap ice cream place, and you really have to take it 'To Go' since their isn't much seating area. I still really enjoy this place and it's a favorite place for my grandmother and I to go (we both love ice cream). read more
