Cold Stone is great! We came here with our big family after dinner when we were all craving something sweet. We don't live anywhere close to a Cold Stone so we took the opportunity to stop by. My little cousins were extra excited at the premise of creating their own concoction, and they said it was the best ice cream they've ever had. For me, there was one of their signature creations that they discontinued that I always used to get when I went to Cold Stone. It was called "That's How I Roll," and it was heavenly. I was able to recreate it by creating my own. Everyone that I let try it loved it. The locale was nice and clean. Shoutout to the staff for being helpful and patient with our big group, especially with two little youngsters who were very hyper. Can't wait to be back! read more

If I could give it a zero, I would. Staff was rude, messing with cell phones when we arrived to a very dirty ice cream shop and didn't even say hello or offer to serve us. They continued to mess with the phone for the first few minutes we were in the store before finally helping one of us (the second never got waited on). The ice cream was freezer burnt and melting so it tasted awful, the employees were EXTREMELY rude when we informed them and they refused to return our money after one bite had been taken of the ice cream. Cold stone was one of the first ice cream places I visited when I moved to Louisville. Unfortunately, all the locations I've previously been to have closed down. With so much ice cream competition in town, these parlors have to offer something unique. Their parking lot can get hectic since it's located right next to McAllister's and by so many other businesses. The girl at the counter was super nice! I got the Oreo ice cream. I was disappointed. Cold Stone's options pretty much look like glorified vanilla ice cream. There's not much of the Oreo that you can taste. You'd pretty much have to add toppings in order to get some texture. My sister got the circus animal cookie one. Again, the flavors are ground up so fine that you barely taste it. My friend loves this place since they make milkshakes. He got cookie dough and cake batter blended up. The portion size is definitely generous for sure but I've had better ice cream pretty much everywhere else in town. They also don't really have dairy free options. The girl told me they usually only have one sorbet option at a time. I think a lot of ice cream parlors really need to add more dairy free choices if they want to keep up with competition and gain more profits. read more

We did an online order, went to pick it up and we were supposed to have 3 ice-cream s, instead we had 2 had to let them know and the kid was saying that's what the order said. I informed him he was wrong, he looked again at the receipt and saw it stated 3 ice-creams . They fixed it but it was stilled messed up there was no graham Cracker in mine and we ordered a cone bowl, and they put in a regular bowl. Customer service lousy as well and they are way overpriced!! I placed an online order, got there before it was technically supposed to be ready. When the man handed it to us, there was only one ice cream in the bag, when there was supposed to be two, and not in a waffle bowl as it was supposed to be. I mentioned something about our other ice cream, and the man said "My bad" and proceeded making waffle bowls for a few more minutes before coming to check what was actually supposed to be on the order. He then made the other ice cream, and just handed us two waffle bowls to put them in, fine, but one was supposed to be a chocolate bowl. At that point I just wanted to get out. We get to the car and realize that one is not the same size as the other, but we ordered the same size. Needless to say I won't be coming back to this location, the staff did not seem to care at all, nor did it seem like he actually read what the order was. By far, my favorite Ice Cream Shop. I the fact that they now have one on Breckenridge Rd, so close to my job, destroys my diet at least a couple times a week. The ice cream is made fresh in the store and there are so many choices of mixes. Candy, cake, nuts, fruit, and syrups. I think the cold stone they chop and mix the ice cream on gives it extra flavor...So yummy! I've only ever gotten ice cream, but they have shakes and cakes as well. Sizing is super cute, either you "Like it", Love it", or "Gotta have it". For the quality, the pricing is very reasonable. I always get a "like it" in a cup with one topping and its about $4.50. If you have never been to a Cold Stone Creamery, I highly recommend you give it a try. It has ruined store bought ice cream for me. It's a must try. read more

There's also a bit of nostalgia when it comes to visiting here. This location has plenty of parking and is always kept clean. My only complain is that it's not uncommon for mistakes to be made in your order. If you are choosing a new/limited edition sundae, there's a 50% chance your order will be slightly off. I rarely go to Cold Stone because there's not a low of locations nearby, but when I come here I tend to always get "coffee lovers". Cover lovers never fails me each time I get it. Pretty much the best for me. Not too sweet and definitely not to "caffeine" like. The reason why I gave it a higher score is because, the workers were very generous with their portions and smart about it too. instead of trying to put a large order in one large cup they decided to put it into two medium cups instead. When I approached the counter, the lady behind the counter NEVER greeted me, she was on the phone. I waited for several minutes without any service. We went to this cold stone location after trying two other locations in Louisville that had a line out the door, but this location only had a line halfway to the door so my boyfriend and I decided to wait since we wanted ice cream. Many more people came in after us. There were only two employees working this entire rush, Graham and Louwob (I asked for their names after ordering) they must've made 40+ ice cream's between the rush inside of the store and the rush of online orders and DoorDashers that continued flooding in. Towards the 20 minute mark while waiting in line my boyfriend and I reached the counter and were at the end of their rush line. We were both greeted with 'what can I get for you today ma'am/sir' and were treated with great customer service while we were ordering and our ice creams were made quickly. We sat down to eat at one of the tables and watched as more online orders came through and neither of these employees stopped working the entire two hours that we spent inside the restaurant. While it may be their jobs to give that good customer service that rush was not easy to get through and they both had great customer service the entire time and were patient with every customer. A large portion of the customer base during this rush was young children who were ordering on their own, and both of the employees were patient and let each of them take their time. We did not feel rushed or like we were a nuisance whatsoever. Seriously great work ethic from these two, don't see workers like them that much anymore! Aside from the great service our ice cream was delicious, definitely recommend the cake batter and dark chocolate flavors, the waffle bowl my boyfriend got wasn't my favorite but we just had to try it! Also the entire store was kept really clean, Graham and Louwob changed out the water that the ice cream spades go in several times during the rush to keep things sanitary and changed gloves in between orders. I was very disappointed by their customer service skills I had to end up getting one of the cakes they have on display and ended up receiving a cake that didn't even say happy birthday they put "b-day" with the name next to it on the top and gave me the cake it didn't even make sense. My order was made incorrectly and purposefully. I ordered two ice cream bowls at 8:20 pm. Keep in mind they do not close until 9. I ordered it for door dash so the door dash person was the one who had to work late. They texted me to ask me if the order was confirmed. I said that it was and I was confused. He said once I texted back that it was confirmed the kitchen "magically" found the order we had. This was 20 minutes after we ordered it. Then it was made wrong. I ordered one cookies and cream ice cream and one with cookie dough. Both we plan vanilla and in a smaller size than I ordered. I used to work as a waiter. I understand the frustration you can have when people order last minute. But let me be clear. I ordered an entire 40 minutes before closing. It was two ice cream bowls that were super simple and I actually paid for them. I understand not wanting to do them, but doing them wrong and thinking that is alright is unacceptable.
