I've come maybe 10 times and every time there's a line, only 1 employee, and no matter who that employee is(always changing) they don't ask you anything and act like they don't want to be there. I rarely leave reviews but was so turned off and disgusted by the experience I had tonight I literally downloaded the Yelp ad to leave this. I remember when this store opened and was so excited to take my cousins who are visiting from out of country here. The store closes at 9:30. We arrived shortly before 9. The skinny girl working could not hide her frustration or rudeness. Honestly, it felt like borderline racism. She made comments under her breath - "Why would you come in at 9 when you know we close at 9:30?". She proceeded to serve us without any warmth, kindness but plenty of sly looks, under the breath comments and eye-rolls to her coworkers. We sat to enjoy briefly as my cousin is newly post-partum and this was her first trip outside since giving birth. Again, skinny girl let it be very clear she was pissed. I kindly let her know we could move if she wanted to begin clearing the tables early. We were done and out by 9:15. I understand folks are working hard and she may have had a long day. But that does not excuse unwarranted rudeness or straight up bitchiness for simply being asked to do your job. I will not be coming back here ever. I hope managerial deals with this cold sore of an attitude. You never know who walks through the doors or what they are going through. If you are working in hospitality, you must know how to manage your mood - or get a job where you don't need to talk to people. read more

The woman helping us was nice and even thanked us for stopping in. Customer service gets an A+ Our tasty cold treats were very good. Tasted fresh and creamy. No complaints here. Food gets an A+. I am relatively new to Cold Stone. My son and I stopped in on Sunday evening, August 31, to grab some ice cream on our way home for the evening. Got home settled in, curled up on the couch ready to watch a movie eating my ice cream. When all of a sudden a 6 inch long strand of hair was partially in my mouth and imbedded in the ice cream cup! talk about being grossed out!!! I immediately called the store and as busy as I know they are the manager never took the time to even take my call. She instructed her employee to tell me just come back in and they'll make me another ice cream cup. That didn't set well with me at all and I told the person on the as much too. I told her to let her manager know that I will be back in the store tomorrow for a full refund and I will not be returning to the store again to patronize them. Here's why, not only because of the hair found in my food (just imagine the person could have lice. Gross I know, but possible), but because of the poor customer service of the manager who wouldn't take the time even to talk with me! The young lady who I did speak to during the call was very helpful and sweet. A lesson in customer service that the manager should definitely learn from her employe's actions! Stopped in with 4 of my girls on a Friday shortly after opening. The place is dank, dreary and unclean. There was an empty dirty freezer/case that looked like it likely remained empty (why not just get rid of it?) and another sparsely stocked freezer (I imagine they are likely required to have at least a few to-go items). The 2 older ladies that were working there were in plain clothes (no CS aprons/identification) and while kind, were not overly-friendly and didn't offer samples when we commented on sampling new specialty flavors. I ordered my usual (from other CSCs) - sweet cream with fresh strawberries and white chocolate chip mix-ins, in a waffle cone. 9 bones for a small amount of ice cream with maybe 2 bites of strawberries, but a decent amount of white chips in a very thin waffle cone (so thin that it leaked) placed in a snow-cone paper/wrapper. Again, we arrived maybe 30 mins after opening, but the chairs were still propped up on the tables from the prior closing, so I had to unstack chairs while balancing my spendy cone. Service was horrible. Very ignorant to me with my daughter standing right there.. There was one person in front of us, taste testing every single flavor. The person behind the counter assumed I was a "worker" picking up an order for another customer because I am Latino. I was with my daughter and not in a "pick up line" for grubhub! The ice cream was empty in majority of the containers. Poor manners and unhappy faces on 3 employees. Should not be in a customer service job. After 10 minutes we left with out ice cream. I don't understand having 3 workers and not waiting on but one person at a time. Well worth the ride to the Sewell location-where I am going now- where all of the employees are pleasant, friendly and efficient! Have no trouble there and tip them generously every time. I love the cheesecake flavor but when I came here a few weeks ago, they must have chosen the wrong flavor bc what I got tasted like low-fat vanilla freezer burnt icecream. This time I visited the flavors were on point but again, service was sooo slow. It always feels like there's just too many customers and not enough employees. Hi! I just left cold stone in Mount Laurel. There was four people working that I could see and only one person making ice cream for customers. The line was wrapped around the side of the building. Once my ice cream was made it was handed to me and as soon as I got outside of the store I took off the lid to eat and my cake batter ice cream was liquid. I drove from Marlton just for cold stone and my ice cream was equivalent to a milkshake. I wanted to go back inside and get a new one but because there was a long line and everything with COVID I just left. The staff looked annoyed too so I just figured I should leave. Went here to get ice two founders favorite. Granite, I frequent this ice cream shop often prior to the pandemic however on the two occasions I've come to this location during this time, the ice cream has been horrible; it actually tastes quite different. The ingredients were not mixed in well at all even after I've requested it to have it done as such. I called the shop to speak to the manager however he was rather dismissive and said he would simply talk to the employee. It didn't seem genuine at all and to top it off none of the staff were wearing mask. That's just an FYI if one decides to be a customer or not. Cold Stone products are great which is why I gave them two stars. I worked at two Cold Stones growing up and can tell you the ice cream is made fresh in the back, along with any other products such as cakes, cup cakes, ice cream pies and so on. However, this location in particular needs a face lift. It's not inviting at all, inside or outside. The first time I went the owner actually happened to be there and did tell me they were in dire need of staff and were very low (so if any teens are looking try here)! This might be the reason for some of the things I am about to say. The workers there seem to be overwhelmed even with small amounts of traffic, the back counter needs to be wiped down better, and I ordered an ice cream cake which I got plain (not decorated) yet there were some spots missing where the shavings went. Been coming to Cold Stone since they first opened in this area around 2004ish. The Marlton location opened slightly before this one; then once this location opened I started coming here. Ice cream is still very good but the service is very slow and very rude. Always get an attitude every time I come here. Last time I came here about 5 minutes before closing (they close at 9) and before I could even open the door some girl working here opens the door, says "we're closed" and slams the door in my face while shooting me a very dirty look and locks the door even though there were still customers clearly waiting in line. Finally I decent experience yesterday, but it could of been because I went during an off time and didn't have to wait in a crazy line of 12 people while there's only one girl behind the counter trying to mix up concoctions. Understaffed for sure. The girl wasn't very friendly when I asked to try some flavors but other than that my sundae came out good. STALE....the add-ins tasted stale and old. I had been craving ice-cream for weeks and I normally never eat ice cream and decided to go to coldstone. I got the chocolate devotion because I love everything chocolate and added Twix as a mix in. The ingredients weren't properly broken up and the caramel from the Twix was super hard and chewy. This is one of the few Cold Stones left in the area. If you haven't' been to one before- it's kinda like a fro yo, but with real ice cream. Hop in line, select an ice cream flavor, pick out some mix ins, and then the ice cream makers will mix everything together. The ice cream is absolutely delicious here. They have great mix ins and awesome signature creations. My all time favorite will always be the Birthday Cake Remix. In addition to ice cream, they sell ice cream cakes & ice cream cup cakes- yummmm. The staff is friendly, but needs to do a better job cleaning the tables between customers.
