This is my go-to ice cream place! I really appreciate the wide selection of hard ice cream and water ice that they have. Plus, they also have frozen yogurt and soft serve. There's ample seating inside and abundant parking. I personally enjoy their birthday cake ice cream and their soft serve. The selection of toppings they have include some unique options, like the cake crunchies found in Carvel ice cream cakes. It makes it really easy for someone to find something they'll love and leave happy. Have introduced this business to multiple people in my family who now call this their favorite too. We tried Daddy O's tonight for the first time tonight since we had a craving for ice cream. The store has froyo, hard ice cream, soft serve, and water ice. I had an Oreo sundae and my fiancé had a vanilla soft serve with sprinkles. I found it odd that the sundae was not mixed and the toppings and sauce were at the bottom and they put soft serve on top. Great neighborhood spot selling homemade ice cream, froyo and water ice. Pretty spacious with seating inside. Froyo is self serve and they have a solid amount of flavor options. My parents and I tried the low fat vanilla, cookies and cream, chocolate mint, Georgian peach, mango dole whip and birthday cake. The only two flavors we were not s fan of were the birthday cake and chocolate mint. Good amount of topping options (no Mochi if that is your thing like me) for your froyo. The frozen yogurt is delicious! Based on the flavors they have and the quality and taste of the yogurt, I'd give this place 5 stars. I recently indulged my craving for some good frozen yogurt on an unseasonably warm President's Day with my mom. I got the Salted Caramel and companion Toasted Marshmallow, along with my go-to favorite Cake Batter. The Salted Caramel and Toasted Marshmallow flavors were exceptionally good, and not many places have them, so I was pretty happy about that. The Cake Batter was good too, although not as exciting, it's my usual flavor. My mom got Strawberry which was excellent along with Mango Dole Whip, which was good for what it was, but she preferred the regular frozen yogurt. Delicious all around flavors! The negatives now. The price was definitely on the high side. Over $13 for two medium cups of yogurt with a few gummy bears. I don't mind paying for quality but that's too expensive. Also, and this was a a big negative for me, the place was dirty. It could use a good cleaning overall. I didn't use the bathroom if there was one so can't comment on that. There seemed to be only one employee and it got crowded so he could have used some additional help. He was a nice enough kid. If the inside was clean, I would have given 5 stars. Took the family here after my husband's Father's Day dinner. They had a nice variety of flavors and toppings. One of few places that serve cake crunches so I was excited about that. I opted for a sundae with strawberry ice cream, cake crunches, sliced banana, hot fudge and whip cream with cherry. I ate about half of it and threw the rest away. The hot fudge was sticky and gooey like caramel, and if you have read any of my reviews you will see me talking about how I hate that warm frothy type of ice cream. It's like it melts and is the consistency of like a cool whip. It's just not in my opinion real ice cream and this place falls in that category. The reason I gave it 2 stars is because they sell pineapple dole whip and I do like that. They also oddly enough have the watermelon flavor for whoever likes that. Outside of that the establishment is clean, the service is friendly and they also offer soft serve, frozen yogurt with a toppings bar, and water ice. There's some indoor seating as well as a few benches outside. Parking was also easy as it's located in a decent size plaza. I use to like Daddios especially their Cookie dough ice cream. Unfortunately, I have to say I cannot recommend or support this ice cream store anymore. I have been here twice since they changed owners. The portions are very skimpy now not rolled enough when scooping. If I'm going to over pay for ice cream the customer should be getting excellent portions. Not sure if it was the employee but it was the same for every customer as I observed people in front getting these underwhelming portions. My son who is a slow eater, ate his in less than 2 mins. If I see other reviews that they changed their ways then I may consider going back and changing my review but I will go to Leo's or Cups and Cones instead. Sorry Daddios I want to support you but I have been left no choice, please change this or respond to my review. First of all, there is no semblance of a barn in this strip mall ice cream/ frozen yogurt joint. Not sure if a daddy o was on call either. But on this Sat night neither were needed to draw customers. We ordered and were served fairly quickly, on the way out the line was at least 10 deep( and it was probably unwise to have only 2 employees on duty) Of the 20 or so flavors of hard scoop, Trish selected bday cake and chocolate Oreo, she liked both but thought too sweet overall. My salted caramel and choc choc chip were also very sweet. The darkish chocolate was pretty good, chips just too sweet, the caramel tasted artificially flavored, I prefer when there is actual ribbons of the amber goodness throughout. Serving size seemed fair but I agree that the costs were more in line with better quality shops. Last night was our first time visiting Daddy O's. It was pretty crowded on a Friday night and I will say we were slightly confused about the ordering process. When looking at the store front from the parking lot, the left side is the ice cream/water ice/soft serve, and the right side is frozen yogurt. We opted for the ice cream side and even though there were enough people that we had to snake the line, it went pretty quickly and smoothly. We both ordered a 'regular' cup which allows for up to 3 flavors/scoops. I went with salted caramel, chocolate toffee, and coffee. That was actually a perfect flavor combo and every bite was great. It was super creamy. My fiancé tried a few flavors of the yogurt and made himself a yogurt sundae. The toppings were plentiful and very organized, nothing was a mess. I tried his chocolate yogurt. It was not my favorite. I'm not sure why but I've enjoyed other frozen yogurts more. The yogurt is .49 an ounce. I'm not sure how much my regular sized ice cream was but both together were $9.99. It's not cheap but definitely worth it when you're in the mood for a treat. This place is very clean and the staff all seemed very nice and helpful. Obviously there's no helping the "view" (a parking lot & busy intersection), but a power wash would do wonders. The ice cream: Many flavors of dairy-based ice cream no vegan ice cream (sorbet only). Froyo -- which is the more recent addition -- is tasty, but the machines had drippy melted ice cream in the trays and the toppings were a mess. Unfortunately, the only fresh topping available was strawberries. Everything else was candy and/or canned. The customer service: Unremarkable.
