The Ice Cream Parlour is probably my kid's favorite local ice cream spot. Of course they love the ice cream & toppings (soooo many options). But even more they love the decorations inside. There's something fun to look at everywhere! Everything from the funky animal stools to the train that runs around the top of the shop. Their favorite part has to be the small diorama set up - they love the little carnival scenes and they spot something new everytime. In addition to the great ice cream and awesome atmosphere, the owner of The Ice Cream Parlour is part of the experience. He clearly loves his shop and interacting with his customers. He even has a prize wheel and prizes for all the kids that come in. There's lots of indoor and outdoor seating and ample parking. read more

First visit, so I'd like to come a few more times before I really lean into a rating, but for my one and only visit, it was definitely a 4 star affair. A little old, a little chaotic, The Ice Cream Parlour has a bit of a carnival vibe upon entering. There are tchotchkes galore in here. Toys, novelties, a plaster monkey hanging from the ceiling, lion, elephant, zebra and panda chairs, a prize wheel, etc, etc, etc. All run by an EXTREMELY personable man that chatted us up the entire time we were there...ALMOST to a detriment. They seem to cater to kids, which is awesome, as ice cream is squarely in every child's wheelhouse. Childrens size ice cream COMES with rainbow or chocolate sprinkles, and a free spin on the prize wheel. Speaking of the prize wheel, my daughter offered up her favorite number, 3, ("I love Harper three!") and won a small stuffy when her number hit! It was a cheap little stuffed animal, but it was really cool to have her win something, and it's CERTAINLY not something that Mr. Ice Cream Parlour has to offer. It's a great perk for your price of admission. Inside seating was spacious enough, and there were a few seats outside, but the owner told us that it can get so busy in there that you can't move, so maybe take it to go. This place is actually magical. I have this listed in order of my experience as it occurred. 1. The decor is whimsical. The decor was carnival/ circus themed and it was very unique. 2. Looking for a new place for a sweet treat we checked out The Ice Parlor. It's located in a strip mall by the intersection of Haddonfield-Berlin Rd and Kresson Road. It has a very cute carnival theme decor with zoo/safari animal chairs. There was a variety of of ice cream and toppings available. In addition they had over 43 flavor options of blended soft ice cream available. We tried a chocolate covered pretzel caramel ice cream. The pretzels mixed into the ice cream were still crunchy which can be challenging. We also tried a basic soft vanilla serve ice cream with chocolate sprinkles (or jimmies as they referred to them). Both ice creams tasted great and were refreshing. All together it came to a little over $7 for both items. They don't accept credit cards for purchases under $10 so bring cash with you. It can also get crowded inside the parlor but they have some nice table and chairs outside the store. read more

Everyone (Rich, Sharon, and Erin) are the nicest people serving ice cream who have ever served ice cream. Kid's size cup comes with sprinkles and their sizes are 1,2, or 3 scoops and these aren't small scoops! Very generous in sizes! We use to go often but when my son asked to have a sample of ice cream and was refused because "only one per person" I was done. Don't have your child sit on the chairs either, the owner will yell to sit properly with both feet on the floor. It's not warm and friendly, you go in and feel nervous and anxious. I was there with my children grabbing some ice cream a few years ago and of course my 6 year wanted to touch all the little trinkets when I told him no the owner came storming over yelling at my son when I said sorry but he didn't touch it he was not hesitant to start arguing with me. Fast forward to now i decided to give this shop another try and I see nothing had changed the owner was there and was very obnoxious. He was yelling about his political views which it fine if you're in the right setting but not at a "family friendly" ice cream shop. I immediately turned around and walked out. After a spicy dinner, the gf and I decided to get some ice cream to cool and cleanse our pallet. We used our handy Yelp app to discover a mom/pop ice cream shop down the street. This place is pretty outrageous and a kid's dream. It's like walking into a carnival with the animal chairs, toy train and mini displays. It's quite remarkable. The place has a decent selection of soft serve and homemade hand-dipped ice cream. I wasn't feeling ice cream so I went with a black and white milk shake. The shake itself wasn't very good...too chocolatey and no thickness at all. I was a little disappointed and didn't wind up finishing it. The gf got a mint-chocolate chip on a sugar cone. She enjoyed hers, so there was a saving grace. I personally think the pricing was a bit high, but I don't frequent ice cream parlors enough to know if that is standard or not. I have had nothing but great experiences at the Ice Cream Parlour ever since I moved into the area a year ago. The owners are very friendly and passionate about their store and their product. I have never found them to be rude in any way, maybe because I do not have children running around and touching things in the store (that seems to me the major cause of problems that other yelpers have faced). There is a pretty large selection of ice cream and water ice flavors, and you really can't go wrong with whatever you choose. My go-to has to be the black and white malt milkshake. The owner is very particular about the type of malt powder he gets. He even told me that he spent a lot of time sourcing the right malt powder to make sure the taste is as authentic as it gets. He sometimes lets me drink the rest of the milkshake that wont fit into the cup if the store isn't busy. I will continue to come here, and if you are in the area, you should stop in as well! read more

What a gem! My family and I absolutely love The Ice Cream Parlour! Their circus theme is super inviting to people of all ages. I LOVE their animal chairs, they are always enthusiastic with sharing their history and ventures about the shop's details (all worth listening to and experiencing). You'll feel as if you're in a museum all at once. Sharon shared their story regarding the origin of the chairs which are authentically from Jumanji. They have a variety of delicious ice cream flavors, toppings and old-fashioned candies for you to choose from. They're always adding new flavors to their selections. The customer service is phenomenal; Rich and Sharon are truly the best, they are very welcoming and amiable, they always make you feel at home and they genuinely treat you as if you are family.
