Well, I've come across this Penn State town to visit some family friends for the first time ever and I had a sudden craving for some ice cream. Luckily, this Cold Stone location was open on Black Friday!! I got the Cheesecake Fantasy Ice Cream in a Love It size. It was so delicious to the point that I actually forgot to take a photo of my ice cream and realized I should've taken a photo of it after I ate it all already. My husband and I have visited this Cold Stone twice now. Both times, extremely disappointed. My husband ordered the new cookie dough signature creation and I ordered the birthday cake remix. The girl behind the counter clearly does not know how to do her job. She put our ice cream on the stone, added the "mix in's", and yet failed to mix it in. She just threw the ice cream around it and slapped it in a bowl, leaving us trying to scoop out a full brownie and a full chunk of cookie dough. I know that this is not the correct method because I worked at this Cold Stone location for four years. It took everything inside of me to not ask this chick if I could just mix my own ice cream. Ever since new management took over, this place has not been the same. He needs to train his workers correctly because this is just an embarrassment. read more

Came in here tonight because all of my other favorite Ice Cream spots in State College were closed. I didn't regret my decision one bit. Very delicious ice cream (I ordered the Mint Chocolate Chip) , and super friendly staff members, with lively college students always waltzing in and out of the place. This is the only Coldstone Creamery location in town, so if you're an avid fan of Coldstone, then there you go. I've been here a couple of times and every time, it has been pretty empty. There is tons of seating inside, but I've never seen this place have more than 3-4 customers at a time. This is probably because of the fact that Penn State has it's own creamery that is boatloads better than Coldstone. The one nice thing about this Coldstone is that they do take LevelUp as a payment method. Only Coldstone and the Quiznos takes LevelUp, and it's just a nice little convenience to have. Oh Coldstone, you're so bad for everyone's health and usually are pretty good, but when stacked up with the Berkey Creamery, you kind of end up becoming everyone's 2nd choice. read more

I went into Cold Stone today to get ice cream with friends. I decided to get a bottle of water as well, and paid for it at check out. When my friend was checking out after me with a different employee, the employee proceeded to accuse me of not paying for the water bottle. I said that I paid for it and she asked for proof of receipt. The woman who checked me out told the other employee that I did in fact pay, since I said I didn't need a receipt. I am extremely angry to have been treated this way, especially for $7 ice cream. Employees that speak in this rude way to customers should not be working. I will never be giving Cold Stone my business again if they're hiring bratty college students who accuse paying customers of stealing WATER BOTTLES. read more

I tried to get a birthday cake for my daughter there and she told me it needed to be three days in advance (which it was). The lady keep saying no we can't do it for it not enough time then changed it when I said it is three day. She turned it into four or five then it was we don't have product. I begged for her to do something even if it was small and I would pay the price for the cake she still refused. Which I understand you can refuse all you want that there choice. But I begged and cried because my daughter wanted this and they couldn't do it. They didn't seem to care about their customers I'm just not going back and don't recommend. read more
