There are so many little spots you can walk to & the surrounding neighborhood is gorgeous. The entire area is so quaint & quiet. Stores & restaurants are a short drive away. I spent most mornings & evenings just sitting in the balcony watching the birds, sunrise, sunsets & fisherman on their boats. I wouldn't hesitate to return!

The studio room has a full-sized fridge, a couple of stovetop burners, microwave, Keurig, and a dishwasher. The room is laid out great with a desk for working. The place is perfect for an extended stay. I am not big on fan on the usual hotel chain breakfast, but I love it when they have bananas and a lot don't it seems anymore. I grabbed a banana and a muffin for my drive. I wasn't expecting much but this muffin was some sort of lemon berry with a lemon curd in the middle. It was delicious! The only somewhat negative thing I can write about is their in-room wifi. If you're in for the night and would like to watch tv, you'll be frustrated quickly as the streams pause a lot to buffer. I don't know if it's their bandwidth limitation by their ISP or poor wifi design. The property is located about an hour from IAH Airport, and the route was very direct and easy to navigate. We stayed in one of their cabins, which was beautifully decorated and very spacious. If you enjoy a rustic atmosphere, this is definitely the place for you. The cabins were comfortable and fit perfectly with the charm of the property. All of the wedding events were held in the main building. We attended the rehearsal dinner, which featured a buffet-style Mexican meal with flour and corn tortillas, pinto beans, yellow rice, chicken and beef strips with peppers, corn chips, queso, and a variety of toppings. I have to say, the yellow rice was absolutely delicious! For dessert, they served a bread pudding that was out of this world. Honestly, it reminded me more of monkey bread than traditional bread pudding, and it was delicious. We returned the following morning for breakfast, which included yogurt, egg frittata, French toast, bacon, coffee, and juices. My only small disappointment was that maple syrup was not available; they only offered agave. Also, decaf coffee was not readily available, so you had to ask for it. The wedding itself was beautiful. During cocktail hour, they served chicken on a stick and a cheesy bread appetizer. Being from New Jersey, where we are used to cocktail hours with an endless variety of food, I have to admit I was expecting a few more options! Dinner was also served buffet-style and included Brussels sprouts, potatoes, prime rib, and chicken. Everything we tried was delicious. I'm not sure how often it rains in Willis, but it certainly did while we were there! Fortunately, the cabins were equipped with umbrellas, which was a thoughtful touch and definitely came in handy. Before arriving, I interacted with a woman named Frankie, and I have to give her special recognition. Frankie seemed like a one-woman show! She was there all three days and appeared to do everything--from serving guests and moving tables to helping run the events, making coffee, and assisting behind the bar. I honestly don't know if she was also involved in preparing the food, but nothing would surprise me! I was so impressed by her work ethic that I kept telling my family, "I hope they're tipping her well!" Overall, The Historic Hill House and Farm is a charming and beautiful venue, especially for anyone who appreciates a rustic setting. We were in town for a coin show and decided to grab a last minute room for three before heading north for SFA to visit my oldest daughter. About 5 o'clock in the evening I pulled up to the lobby and my wife went in looking for a decent rate and got a $180 rate (it's about $260 total charge- $50 hold for incidentals which is refundable, and $210 after local taxes for the room) Very clean and nice "new" feel. It does have a convention meeting area and the staff was very nice from the front desk to the cleaning help. We liked the night lights attached to the bottom of the bed that are motion detection in the event you get up in the middle of the night. Gives you great lighting for your feet but doesn't really disturb the rest of the room. They also have them in the bathroom. Pillows were a bit too mushy in my opinion and the shower heads did not have the pressure I like to have so this one falls just short of top ratings for me. Felt very roomy for two double queens and we had a pretty good view of the front parking lot from our room on 7th floor to keep our car in sight. There is a dining area on site but breakfast is not included in the room fee so you have to pay separate for that. There is a quick convenience area if you want to pay inflated prices for Nicknacks/snacks. They did have two chargers in the self-parking garage, but warning it is quite a long walk across the conference rooms area and you need to bring your room key to gain entry back into the hotel (and also in the elevators here to the rooms). Two level 2 chargers (about 14 miles an hour recharge), with a sign that said 4 hour charge limit. Safe place, decent deal last minute, and nice and cozy feeling inside. I'd say this is more of an on the road stop rather than a destination stop. I will include separate review, but an awesome sushi/hibachi place right next door is also worth a try!

I think if she had to smile her face would break, or she just is a miserable person herself. She acts like she owns the park but she is only an employee, but they do have many vacancies because all of the long term tenants have left because of her attitude towards them. SO BEWARE AND FIND SOMEONE WHO APPRECIATES YOUR BUSINESS!!

At the time of the move we were living in a Airbnb and was spending entirely to much money, and after a month I was still unfortunately still looking for work and I was reduced to living in a hotel with myself and 5 children and that was an extremely hard experience. As I filed out several applications for not only apartments, and houses I couldn't find anyone that was willing to allow me to rent because I had an eviction on my name. The first eviction was due to my husband being killed and I could no longer afford the rent for that place, I then rented a different place and one month before my lease was up the rental agency evicted me and put that on my credit and to me that wasnt fair all because she didn't want me to renew another lease. I then rented an apartment paying double the deposit because of the eviction which was fine I then started working for said complex a month after I moved in, and didnt get any sort of credit off my rent regardless of the fact I was employed and working even doing work on my days off and the weekend, I always paid my rent yes I paid it late however I paid all late fees without problems and they fired me and kicked me out within the same week and didn't give me a chance to pay my rent, and they then put that on my credit so that gave me 3 eviction in a 2 year span and that doesn't look good and no one cares to listen to why or what happened to only see the evictions. I finally found residence RV and they approved me to rent. Yes it's small but I promise is so much bigger and better than the hotel, I have a kitchen, and all my kids have a bed or a place to sleep without being on the floor or cramped in 2 beds, I have a address, and my children were able to start school in a home with an address vs starting a school living a hotel. So this place gave me a since of being a good mother and gave me the opportunity to give my children a starter home until I am able to have a good rental history good enough for someone other than this place that will be willing to take a chance and rent to me a home or an apartment big enough for my family. But being that they gave me a chance was a wonderful blessing and I appreciate everyone that works here for giving me a chance to rent. Kyle is amazing and one of the kindest people in the office, Melba is the sweetest and always willing to try to help, John is very sweet as well and does try to help also. I have been extremely blessed living here I have the most amazing neighbors, and living here has shown me that there are still wonderful ppl in the world that still believe in it takes a village to raise children and we all look after each other's children. I have gained 2 amazing wonderful friends that I believe I will cherish the rest of my life. Ans I have also gotten a few friends that are very good ppl as well. So I am extremely appreciative of the people at Residence RV and the fact that they give people a chance to get up on their feet and give them a place to call home for a while
