I liked the location of this hotel which is just next to a Sam Houston State University satellite campus in Conroe (just down the highway from main campus at Huntsville). We were in town for a coin show and decided to grab a last minute room for three before heading north for SFA to visit my oldest daughter. About 5 o'clock in the evening I pulled up to the lobby and my wife went in looking for a decent rate and got a $180 rate (it's about $260 total charge- $50 hold for incidentals which is refundable, and $210 after local taxes for the room) Very clean and nice "new" feel. It does have a convention meeting area and the staff was very nice from the front desk to the cleaning help. We liked the night lights attached to the bottom of the bed that are motion detection in the event you get up in the middle of the night. Gives you great lighting for your feet but doesn't really disturb the rest of the room. They also have them in the bathroom. Pillows were a bit too mushy in my opinion and the shower heads did not have the pressure I like to have so this one falls just short of top ratings for me. Felt very roomy for two double queens and we had a pretty good view of the front parking lot from our room on 7th floor to keep our car in sight. There is a dining area on site but breakfast is not included in the room fee so you have to pay separate for that. There is a quick convenience area if you want to pay inflated prices for Nicknacks/snacks. They did have two chargers in the self-parking garage, but warning it is quite a long walk across the conference rooms area and you need to bring your room key to gain entry back into the hotel (and also in the elevators here to the rooms). Two level 2 chargers (about 14 miles an hour recharge), with a sign that said 4 hour charge limit. Safe place, decent deal last minute, and nice and cozy feeling inside. I'd say this is more of an on the road stop rather than a destination stop. I will include separate review, but an awesome sushi/hibachi place right next door is also worth a try! read more

Just what you'd expect from a Hyatt Regency - clean rooms, comfortable beds, and a great restaurant and bar to boot. My wife and I stayed a night, and we had a couple of drinks at the bar. Excellent service, and excellent quality drinks. The bartender made great suggestions, and we settled on the Maple Old Fashioned as our new favorite! read more

Uncomfortable beds. Which I realize is a preference thing however the bed had a sag in the middle... carpet in the hallway stained already even though this hotel is fairly new. Nowhere to get ice yet there is an ice bucket in the room. The parking garage isn't secure. The bar charges $22.75 for a martini yet the menu said $12. You can not get food from the restaurant to go without being seated. Would not recommend. Edit: at checkout the manager asked how our stay was. We told him about the issues we had. He did give us a credit towards our bill. read more

From the minute I walked in, I found the staff to be very welcoming, accommodating and very professional. The rooms were very clean and had luxurious updates, which provided a very pleasant ambiance. The restaurant Chefs use unique herbs and spices for every entree, for example a simple cheeseburger tasted like Five Star cuisine. What a wonderful surprise! Hyatt Regency Conroe has all the makings for a 5-star hotel, but it fell short in a few little ways. The glossy exterior of the card reader on our door fell off so we were looking at the innards of the reader during our stay, which kind of set the tone for the weekend. The bed did not have fitted sheets, just a flat sheet over a bare mattress, then another flat sheet and a comforter. I don't know if housekeeping did this on purpose because they were out of fitted sheets or what, but I found it kind of weird and gross. (Of course, we shifted around in our sleep and the flat sheet under us shifted too, so the bare mattress was visible and touchable by us...) Water pressure was not great, though hot water was piping and plentiful. The room smelled weird, too, and the scent seeped into my clothes. Sort of an ozone/mildew smell, maybe from the air conditioning? The lobby smells perfumed and lovely but the room smelled strange. As far as amenities go, this hotel is good, not great. There's a pool on the second floor, a fitness center, all accessible with a room key. Unfortunately, there is no free breakfast, and the hotel restaurant Conroux is fairly expensive (an eggs/bacon/potato plate will cost you close to $20). The "market" has good coffee and some pastries/breakfast sandwiches, but is understaffed. However, everyone I talked to at this hotel was very polite and had their best customer-forward face on, so that's a good thing. I enjoyed Conroux despite its prices. The bed is comfortable and the motion-sensor lights in the room were helpful in the middle of the night. I know this is a fairly new hotel so maybe they can iron out a few of these little kinks and really shine. read more

I did have a great time here, but it's only because of the wedding I was there for. All other things made me wish for a different hotel. Even though staff are very friendly and most go out of their way for service, there was a lot to improve. Starting with when making reservations staff should know which rooms have the different views. I wanted a poolside view as from the pictures it looked really nice, but they didn't know which side of the building that was. For the wedding there were a block of rooms that were blocked for guest and they said the only one left was a 2 queen with limited city views...so I decided to upgrade for a little more. They said they had a high floor nature view, which didn't look majestic at all. When checking in they said I had complimentary breakfast, but as I was seated the next morning they said I didn't have. Drinks were pretty pricey and under normal pours. 4 well drinks $100, one balvenie over $40. The wedding started at 3pm and they said check in was 4pm but for an extra $25 i can check in at 12pm. Why would you have your patrons pay extra when the event is happening at your hotel? So as soon as I got in the room it was hot so I dropped the AC down to lowest temp possible...65, which it never made it to even after 12 hours of running it. Good thing about the room was a very large tv, but size of the room was quite small. Water pressure of shower was very poor, it had adjustments, but none were good. Timer on light in bathroom so halfway through my shower the lights go out, complete darkness. Wouldn't choose to upgrade at this hotel or even stay if given the choice. read more

This is a gorgeous property! We were in town for a wedding in Tomball and we'd g events in The Woodlands. Woodlands hotels were so much more money!! Conroe is just 8 miles up the road and has better pricing! The young man that checked us in was in a suit and so courteous and professional! The rooms are beautiful, pool and fitness center were top notch. We would definitely recommend this amazing hotel!! read more

This beautiful hotel is tucked away in Grand Central Park. My husband and I stayed here 4 nights, Saturday through Wednesday, while we were closing on a house in Conroe. We checked in with Andrew, who was very nice. The hotel has a convention center and ballrooms, and we happen to be there during a Monsters Dance Convention, so there were a lot of young kids around the first 2 days. Despite how busy it was, the rooms seemed quiet and clean. We stayed in room 628, which had a view of the parking lot. There was a small closet with an iron and ironing board on the left, an open closet with a hanger bar in the middle and a convenient wooden bench below, which can be used for luggage, with drawers at the bottom, and a coffee bar and mini fridge to the right. A large TV is hung on the wall facing the bed, which was firm but comfortable. I was happy to have brought our own pillows since the hotel pillows were down feather. There was a two-seater couch, a small sliding side table, a standing lamp, and a small desk with a chair near the window. So there are plenty of options for sitting or working. The sliding door for the bathroom doesn't offer much privacy, but it was fine for us. I loved all of the motion sensor lights below the bed and in the bathroom, as well as all the lights on the bed frame and night stand. We didn't try the restaurant, Conroux, but we did get coffee and yogurt from the Market. Prices are a bit high, but everything was delicious, and the employees were pleasant. Ended up getting coffee again before we checked out with Angel. Overall, the hotel was clean and beautiful. Our major complaint was that the cell phone service was intermittent, and the free WiFi was spotty, which seems to be on purpose to get people to upgrade the internet for $15 a day. read more

This hotel reminds me of the pre-Covid days, when places actually cared about providing great hospitality. The front desk is friendly and welcoming, rooms are modern yet cozy, the breakfast is delicious, and the gym and pool areas are perfect. They didn't cut any corners in building this hotel, and I love every detail. We even received a little note with cookies welcoming us. I wish we would have stayed more than one night. I hope that management maintains this level of detail and thoughtfulness forever because it really does set this location apart from the others, and makes me want to come back. I've noticed that the Centric started out strong like this, but then stopped caring about the details.... Please don't let that happen here! Also, parking is free, as it should be! read more

This hotel itself is the reason I'm giving 3 stars. It is beautiful and clean which is nice. However, I asked for towels and it took about 4 hours to come up had to call a few times. Also get a little bit of attitude from some girls at the front desk. Regardless of those things the hotel itself was a nice stay. One more thing I'm not too fond of is how loud you can hear the people outside your door, next to, and above you. You can also hear things outside too. Would I stay at this hotel again? Probably not I don't think it was worth $900. read more

Cafe downstairs has cutlery supplies, nice healthy to-go selections, good coffee, delicious menu items and prices aren't terrible. Conference rooms and event center are very nice and modern. This hotel was amazing. I attended a two night three day work meeting here and the staff were so accommodating. Everyone we encountered was genuinely concerned about our stay. I could not pass through the lobby without a staff member asking if they could assist me with anything. In addition to the GREAT customer service, the meeting room was extremely comfortable. To sum it up, the hotel is a whole vibe in itself. After meetings, we enjoyed debriefing on the patio and wining down at the pool. The drinks at the bar were made with expertise and the chef in the restaurant deserves a huge shout out. 5 stars all the way around. read more

i give this one star due to poor service and customer service. staying for large group event and found the hotel very nice. we went out to pool only to have feet burned by the super hot pool deck with only on very small sign indicating might be and issue. told staff " we are sorry" bah. then we left for event only to return to no water in hotel, they where giving out water bottles , can not shower with a water bottle. then we had a banquet which started one hour late and of course food was cold. nothing was done for to visitors for all the issues - read more
