Lovely gated park with a running track located across the way. Their is convenient parking and plenty of trees providing shade. Some benches and picnic tables. Saw several families enjoying their afternoon with their kids. As nice as this park is, the location is horrible. Cars are constantly speeding and running red lights, which make it unsafe when walking with kids. Surprised their isn't a cop posted on this corner as the speeding takes placed directly in front of the fire department. The fact that pedestrians have to wait an additional 10 seconds to make sure there isn't a maniac driver ready to run a red is insane. read more

This is a great park for what it is - a small, quiet, clean park. The playground area, mainly suitable for preschoolers, is part of the small preschool on the grounds. I like how there are swings (to build up core muscles early!) and some picnic tables. There's a good amount of shade to relax, sunbathe or picnic. The statues of children are a cute detail. Parking can be difficult. I've always found it heading as north as needed up Beverly Dr., but with small children that can be a long walk to the park. read more

I love this park. It's got everything. There is a good-sized fenced-in children's area; a large area for just enjoying life; and a separate walking area surrounded by low water and native plants. I love this park. It even has a small man made creek. I dont know if it's running now, but if it is , the kids are welcome to play in the water. read more

Pointless on hot days to go here since they shut down the creek. They claim its to save water, but the amount of huge, green, well watered lawns in BH makes this tiny creek meaningless. BH, if you REALLY want to save water, there are better ways of doing it than ruining children's fun. This park is difficult to park your car at and the playground is too hot and sunny most of the time. The grassy area is nice and shady, but, again, nothing to do there without the creek. When I called the city to inquire about the creek, the woman on the phone was bored and short and rude. Do better, BH. 1 star for the shady grass and clean bathrooms. read more

The park, opened more than one hundred years ago, is located on the east side of Coldwater Canyon at Beverly Drive. It provides a beautifully landscaped green space, a synthetic jogging track, seating areas with shade trellises, a fountain, and the Woods Davy Stillwater art sculpture, Gwynn Murrill's Cougar III bronze sculpture and a children's playground. This park has a lot of wonderful little amenities but my favorite is a little track that you can walk around or run around if you choose, but it is my favorite. Also has wonderful playground options for children and parents who want to get out get some fresh air and appreciate the sanctity of outdoors activities in such a questionable time. I found a parking to be easy, I found the amenities to be wonderful and I can't think them enough for having a restroom that was actually available. read more

Been out and about as much as possible, look for a flood of reviews when there's a bit of down time ~ yeah, not likely for awhile! I'm highly caffeinated and sunburnt! A quick tally shows I've driven 3k+ miles in about 1.5 months. That's officially 2k more miles than all of 2020. Lol Coldwater area has been on our list of want to visit for awhile now. We packed light and were mostly looking forward to walking around, getting some Vit D and maybe just chatting with anyone else that was also out and about. Did Pretty well on all fronts. People are gingerly exploring their comfort zones, you can tell. They're cautious and a little wary if you say hi too aggressively.. it's almost like when you see new pups at a dog run . Except it's people. Lol. The few folks we chatted up were more brave I'm sure. All were masked up, but not double masked. Someone even felt brave enough for a handshake and fistbump. Cute little park in Beverly Hills. We accidentally blew right past it and it was a bit tough to make a u-turn because there was so much traffic on Coldwater Canyon Drive. So many cars whizzing by on a one-lane road! We eventually were able to turn around and find parking along N. Beverly Drive. read more

Coldwater Canyon Park on North Beverly Drive in Beverly Hills is a small park that is divided in two parts by North Beverly Drive that turns into Coldwater Canyon Dr, the road that takes you to 'the valley' and Ventura Blvd. This park is less than 10 minutes away from Rodeo Drive. On one side is the jungle gym for the kids. The other side is next to the Beverly Hills Fire station that serves the hilly terrain areas of BH. This is the side I prefer for a few reasons: 1) my dog will not distracted by kids, 2) there's a small running/walking track, succulent landscaping with a mini water stream. For a while, at certain times, I would see a set of hot blonde fit, muscular Ken dolls, jogging around this track shirtless...talk about distraction! Those twin guys were easy on my eyes and they were very nice and friendly to me my pup. Oh, and 3) the firemen are often shirtless too! cleaning the fire trucks, I mean I was totally distracted ;) Because this park is right next to Coldwater Canyon Drive which is a major thoroughfare, where most drivers seem to be constantly speeding in both directions, and both sides of the park are not gated, my concern is a child or a dog might run into traffic, so I've minimized my visits here, despite the hot shirtless firefighters and Ken doll twins as distractions ;) Otherwise worth a visit and would recommend. read more

Glad to use this beautiful neighborhood park whenever we visit. It's nearby to where we live, well-maintained and has lots of fun open spaces for children and outdoor sports. There are cool animal sculptures and a clean community center. Across the street, next to the fire station, there's a short soft track (7 times around equals 1 mile) that is perfect for walkers or joggers, young and old. It's very easy on your knees and ankles. There's sustainable, xeriscaping around and within the track that makes your route a bit more interesting. Today, butterflies, bees and hummingbirds were buzzing around. This park is "easy" on your eyes, quiet and has many useable areas for picnics or activities or just hanging out. read more

Was super busy here on weekend daytime. Limited parking and packed. Seemed like a small family friendly park.

Very safe area for children. So many children's parks in LA have been taken over by people who are not kids and are not there with kids. Especially concerning in areas like Santa Monica have been the large amount of homeless and drug abuse at and near children's parks. This is definitely not the case at Coldwater. The park is very clean, away from busy streets, and nothing/nobody who looked dangerous to kids. The playground is also very well maintained and well-shaded. Highly recommend to bring your kids. read more

If you're looking for clean play equipment and clean bathrooms this is your spot. Also the tandem swings (is that the word?) are delightful. But there is something that makes me not want to give it five stars. Maybe the snotty rich moms or that the equipment didn't blow me away. I feel like 4 1/2 stars should be an option. Great park, but still no water in the creek due to drought conditions ‍kids were very disappointed

We decided to take my friends daughter (1 year) on a Sunday afternoon. It's a bit hidden, in between house. but it is located on a major cross street and on the corner so you will spot it right away. Parking is all around the park and it seemed busy and there was plenty of parking available. mind you this day was 95 degrees outside so it was scorching hot. I'm glad my friend decided to come here because they have a small river for the kids to put their feet in. Super cute park to take your kids. My friends daughter isn't to fond in playing with water but surprisingly she was having a fun time. There were lots of kids her age that played with her and parents very attentive with there kids. My other friend and i decided to sit under the shade of thehuge trees they have. They also have a play ground which we didn't go to. Even tho there were lots of people it wasn't crowded. read more

Beautifully kept and lavish park! i love roxbury as it is close, but this park is so much prettier and smaller. perfectly in between LA and the valley. Lots of FREE parking and a fire station if that suits your fancy (single ladies). read more

Great park on the way to Franklin Canyon Reservoir. Street parking only. Bring clothes for water play because the artificial river in the South lawn is a lot of fun for kids. Last time we went, the West gate did not latch when it shut, so it was still able to be pushed open. Hopefully this can be repaired asap! read more

Great place to run when it's super late at night and all other tracks are closed. The lights stay on as late as 11pm (that's the latest that I've gone) and the running environment is peaceful. (Note: The lights are pretty dim during the night hours, but they still provide enough brightness for you to see 50-100 yards in front of you) With the track being approx. 250 meters per lap, it's a nice switch-up -- particularly if you're getting tired of running on standard 400-meter tracks. However, since the turns on this track are pretty sharp, I'd suggest doing more jogging here instead of sprinting. You can certainly do 250-meter sprints (one-lap sprints) if you want, but you won't be able to really get into a full-speed, straight-away burst. Overall, I'd definitely recommend running here if you're a fan of running on tracks! read more

The playground is currently under construction (sad face). It looks like a great place to have a picnic with the family, while the children play. There is plenty of shade so bring a blanket to chill out. Lots of mommy and babies play dates here. Kind of hard to find parking, so good luck. We enjoyed this little gem of a park (even though it's in Be-vah-lee Hillllsz). I would have never explored this place if it wasn't for my daughter Hannah's playdate with Zachary. Since Zach's parents weren't familar with Santa Monica parks, and I was feeling adventurous, well... we packed up the family van (our handy dandy Toyota Sienna, complete with bbq sauce spilled on the carpet and exploded cherry tomato juice staining the ceiling-- all my daughter Hannah's doing, but who's pointing fingers? Not Mommy!) and boogied on down to Beverly Hills. The park is supposedly the place for celeb sightings of celebs and their little ones, but I have NO idea since I am completely clueless on who's who. I do not care about celebs, and I don't read trashy mags, and I don''t have TV. So there. Blah. Yes, I had a one night fling with the Prince from The Princess Bride (shh!) when I was 21 -- and on my 21st birthday eve-- but that was completely unplanned, spontaneous, and I won't explain how that happened or who's house I was at that night. That would go under the title of "my sordid past" and I won't yelp that. Anyway. We went to the Coldwater Canyon Park. It was really fabulous for the man-made "creek" that runs through the grassy end of the park. The kids loved walking through it, and playing in the water, as it was lovely and refreshing. There is also a playground area, which, because it was hot outside, I didn't enjoy, but the kids ran around, and played, and I ran around after them. There is a great expanse of grass near the creek. Bring a blanket, a cooler full of snacks and drinks, and watch the ice cream trucks duel it out for everyone's business. Get a nice, cool spot under a tree. Relax... read more

Gorgeous park and playground. Areas of all ages of kids and types of fun. There is the playground area, sand, swings, and tables. Then there is a little stream that kids can walk and splash in (I would recommend water shoes or sandals). It is set away from a busy street, so not much traffic near the playground, making it peaceful and safe. Great neighborhood park! This quaint park is located right off Coldwater Canyon and is easy to get to but makes you feels like you are 'out' of the city. I personally enjoy coming here with some snacks and a book. It is always clean and very lush (unlike many of the parks in the LA area). Also a great spot for kids, there are always families out and about on a sunny day! If you like relaxing at a park you should definitely check this place out! read more

I've been taking Coldwater Canyon since I was a young tyke... sitting in the back of my parents car... as we made our way home from either Beverly Hills or Downtown... where my sister and I would plead "take the turn-y road home daddy!" and beg and plead him to take the turns extra sharp in the car... much to my mother's chagrin... so that we could pretend it was a "ride". Anyway... I'm much older these days... but... This is my go-to way to get either downtown and most DEFINITELY to Beverly Hills. First of all, it's nostalgic. Second of all, I'm a sucker for back roads. Not only because they're scenic... but they also tend to be much faster. And not only that, but this brings you smack dab in the middle of Beverly Hills. So... the next time, you need to get from the Valley to Beverly Hills in a snap, take Coldwater. You'll be there much much faster... plus, you'll get to look at all the ritzy houses... which is never a bad thing. Actually... maybe you shouldn't! I was excited to discover this hidden gem. It's a bit smaller in size than most parks, but it makes it even more intimate and peaceful. This is a great park to bring young children and spend quality time with them. The sculptures around the park add an artistic touch to it and the little streams of water for children to walk in are a plus. It's a great park! Really nice and clean. This review however, is more so on the Beverly Hills parks service and they're handling of our park reservation. The park is not so good for a birthday party. I rented out two areas (4 tables total) for like $50 bucks each (something around that number, I can't remember) and ran into all these little rules and things like that regarding decorations and the like. The park is also still open to all other patrons as it is a public space so at some points there were kids running around the birthday who weren't apart of the celebration! But that's not that bad. However, towards the end of the birthday party, there was a woman who approached me who was so adamant on using one of the tables we had reserved. She kept pushing and pushing and pushing for a table. Over the course of an hour, she kept going until eventually, her family members began showing up to our reserved birthday party area, tables decorated and all, and just started to move the decorations! It was crazy! They just began wrapping up and moving table pieces without asking! It was nuts. By the end of our cake cutting and things like that, they had all sat down and taken over two tables that we had reserved. They were nice and attempted to invite and share food with us but it was just the principal of it all. I had reserved the space with my money and there were no park rangers in sight to mediate the situation. I understand that it was a Sunday and no, the city doesn't work on Sundays but if that's the case, what if there were a real situation where people had already set up another party of their own prior to my arrival in the morning? Who would have handled it then? Long story short, the birthday was great because the birthday girl was happy. That's all that matters. Next time, I will throw a birthday party at my house where it'll be easier. read more
