Came here for the first time to attend a picnic. It left such an impression on me that I would recommend it for future picnics because of the ample amounts of shade. A small triangle-shaped enclave that offers peaceful respite from some of the busier parts of Beverly Hills, WR Memorial Park is a lovely place to meet up with friends, walk your dog, or sit to practice some moments of mindfulness. He is a small but mighty park in that while you see other people around, you never feel like it's crowded. There is a fountain in the center with small plaques near the encircling benches that detail some of the history of the area. For parking, I suggest checking out Canon Dr. or Beverly Blvd. There is too much traffic on the Sunset Blvd. side for me to feel comfortable trying to maneuver to find parking. Canon Dr. offers 2 hour street parking that is unmetered and a quick walk across the street. Make sure to add this to your list of future picnic spots. read more

This is such a beautiful park with a pond filled with large koi fish, turtles and tadpoles. There are plenty of benches and shade. Perfect to walk around or sit and enjoy. It's pet friendly with plenty of parking, just pay attention to the signs. A few QR signs with facts and history of the park and Beverly Hills are found throughout. This isn't a playground and the place is small. It's located across the pink Beverly Hills Hotels and the infamous 6 way intersection of Lomitas/Beverly/Canon. You'll often hear a honk when a car doesn't know when to go. Entertaining to also car watch. But beyond this, there is nothing more than what is mentioned. We came here on a September Sunday afternoon for a picnic after our visit to Mr. Brainwash's Museum. There was plenty of 2 hr. street parking, bathrooms, and lots of shade. It was not very busy which was a shocker compared to our Glendale parks. Beautiful landscaping and peace and quiet. read more

I really like this park. For a while I was coming here a few times a week. I can't believe that I haven't Yelped it yet. It's not that big. There's not a lot to do here. Nice grass & trees, there are benches, a koi pond & fountain. There are often ducks in the pond, oh and turtles. There's a small building that houses the restrooms. WARNING for the men's room - This restroom is infamous for George Michael being arrested here for performing a lewd act. So, don't be surprised when girls wander in to photograph the inside of the men's room. The park is located just across Sunset Blvd. from the Beverly Hills Hotel. Rodeo Dr. hits Sunset Blvd. at the west end of the park (go south on Rodeo Dr. and the shops are just past Santa Monica Blvd.). I used to enjoy bringing a sandwich & a book here. I found it to be an ideal place to read. There is street parking on 2 sides of the park (N. Beverly Dr. & N. Canon Dr.). Check the signs though and watch the time because there is a limit to how long you can park here. read more

A nice quiet small (5 acres) park in the heart of Beverly Hills next to the pink BH Hotel. Small lake (some would call it a pond) with fountain and many varieties of trees and shrubs plus a yellow rose garden. Great to relax and take a stroll. Metal benches. Not crowded. This is the first public park in Beverly Hills, dedicated in 1915. Charlie Chaplin's "The Idle Class" was filmed here in 1921. Named in 1952, after the actor Will Rogers, who was the major of Beverly Hills in 1926. A time machine capsule has been buried here for retrieval in 2114. I don't know what's gotten into me, but I've been more attracted to public parks now, than at any other moment in my life. Weird, huh? Well, this particular park visit was due to my SD friends (tourists to LA) visiting. I live closer to the Eastside and avoid Beverly Hills/ Hollywood/ Santa Monica area at all costs- only good food and good company can drag me out here. I'm happy a day-trip bucket-list brought me out here today, though. I would have never stopped by had it not been for my friend, Silvia. Our experience was pleasant. We found free street parking, easily! The area is very well kept (I mean, it's Beverly Hills, what do we expect?). It was sundown when we visited, so it was nice and fresh. There were plenty of benches around the central fountain area available as seating options, or you could find a seat anywhere on the rim of the pond, or on any grassy area (abundant). There are huge trees that provide shade for any passing visitor, perfect for naps and picnics, and palm trees in every direction as far as the eye can see. The fountain the central focus and main attraction to this park. It's instagramable and photogenic. The pond itself is full of life! Creatures such as ducks, koi fish, and turtles inhabit the water. This is entertaining to children and adults alike. Several signs and postings around the park are also a source of entertaining to visitors. Scan the QR codes with your iPhone camera app and links show you videos of history of the park. Lastly, public restrooms are clean and available to the public. 10/10 would poop here again! read more

Across the boulevard from the Beverly Hills Hotel is a beautiful park frequented by locals and random tourists. There are plenty of benches to sit on while you gaze at the fountain or watch the ducks. Hard to believe that over 30 years ago George Michael was arrested in the bathroom of this idyllic well-groomed garden. This park is so beautiful and peaceful. It's surrounded by amazing homes and right across from the Beverly Hills Hotel. We love coming here every time we're in the LA area! What a cute little gem. My first time in LA as an adult, I was go-go-go for three days. Then I realized, "hey, I'm on vacation, I should *rest*." I found this park across from the Beverly Hills Hotel, and thought "cool!" Laid down for an hour, got some good, peaceful rest far enough from Sunset Blvd to not hear much traffic. I've been here several times since then. With all the surrounding land taken up by classic BH mansions, it's nice that the city fathers set aside this triangle for a public park. Named after the city's first mayor, who had memorable sayings such as "I'm not a part of any organized political party; I'm a Democrat." Convenient location, good parking, beautiful landscaping, welcoming atmosphere. Not too good for organized sports, and you don't want kids kicking the ball toward that big road near the hotel. But great for photo shoots, picnics, taking a breather while pushing the baby stroller, resting during a bike ride, or a low-key date. Or just relaxing. read more

I do my early morning jog before everyone wakes up because WRMP is the closes park by me and it is a nice little park. I think City of BH can do a better job keeping it cleaner, but let's face it, many tourist come here and many filming crews do filming here so it's difficult to always keep it in tip top shape. Yes, it is the famous George Michael restroom, oh well... Not something anyone want to be remembered as. Be honest, I like George Michael. He is a great musician and artist, and I don't care what anyone thinks otherwise. YES, I live here in the city of BH and I like everything nice too. So yo, please keep our WRMP clean. Well, ok, it's not CRYSTAL CLEAR, but you can still easily see the fish. It doesn't detract from the gorgeousness of the fountain/pond at all. This is an absolutely PERFECT spot for a picnic. I've literally been to every local park and walk I can think of to take my beautiful Christmas (puppy)...this includes and is not limited to: Runyon Canyon (ugh, hot, dirty, unrelenting sun/ heat), Griffith Park (transient, vast, overcrowded), Santa Monica (overrated, too many cars), the dog park at Laurel Canyon (NIGHTMARE, "playful" and aggressive dogs, would NEVER bring a small breed there without being on guard the ENTIRE time)*** Nothing comes close to this place. It is captivating and small, quiet, and the perfect place to be early in the morning. My baby can sit in the sun, take a nap, mix & mingle with the occasional pooch and just be. I don't think I have ever seen him as happy as he is when we are here. Great place to enjoy the peace, take a gander at the beauty, the koi pond, the palms, the light breeze. Try to come early in the morning and early in your day and I can assure you it will be memorable. Great place to meditate, yoga, tai chi, bring a coffee, sit, think and just be. read more

Not quite sure how I feel about this one. The park itself is gorgeous. Lots of trees, roses and the sidewalks are paved with gold. Not really but might as well be. It looks like it belongs in movie. Its not very big and there isn't a play area for children. Its smack in the middle of Beverly Hills at a pretty wierd intersection. This is more of a leisurely park and I suppose that's why the locals looked at me as if I was crazy for bringing weights and a jump rope. :-) I'd come here for a romantic picnic but not recommended for workouts and / or playdates. read more

The only downside of this would be is that is in the middle of two roads basically. It is an island park. It's a park where coldwater canyon and beverly hills meet. I'm not sure how it is in the middle of the day but I know for a fact that there are a lot of cars, even traffic, on rush hours. read more

Hanging out with friend enjoying this beautiful BH Park right across from the Beverly Hills Hotel on Sunset Blvd after a great lunch there. I love coming here and watching the turtles bask in the sun, the ducks swim in the pond and the water fountain as well. The botanicals are gorgeous with wild squirrels running around. Such a tranquil place. I too like basking in the sun and just simply watching the world go by. It's so peaceful and lowers my blood pressure lol . I've seen so many people taking wedding pictures here over the years also, I don't blame them its a fantastic place to create life long memories ! The park is not a super big park but absolutely gorgeous. Reminds me why I have stayed in Los Angeles, the Beverly Hills area and haven't moved away. One of the best and most beautiful places. Small, but very pretty. This park was opened in 1915 as Sunset Park, a gift from the Beverly Hills Hotel across the street, and later named after WR, honorary mayor of BH. It is in an odd triangle shape between some busy (for Sunset blvd. area, in Beverly hills)intersections, though parking is a snap .And you can easily find a spot for two hours around the park. This park has grassy areas (as most parks do), but it also has a nice decomposed granite path throughout (like my beloved Hyde Park), many different types of plants, and a beautiful fountain. It boasts clean restrooms, as well... though the thought of George Michael getting busted here, may make you feel a wee bit dirty. The perimeter of the park has a sidewalk, which if you run around it a little over three times=one mile. And for lack of a track near my house, and for lack of sidewalks actually... this place foots the bill for workingout or for sitting in the sunshine enjoying the mild Beverly Hills weather.. plus... hungry? There are apparently rotating taco trucks at lunchtime taking shifts on the N. Canon Drive side. read more

Great park, the koi pond is amazing. Sometimes the bathroom needs attention, but other than that it's a great place for a picnic. Nice open spaces. Has a path that kids can ride a scooter or small bike. It's small but good for younger kids that can't go far. read more
