this place is good, but it's kind of expensive, especially for Terrell. Lunch meals range from between $6.00 - $10.00. The website menu has the price is wrong, which is really irritating. I got the meatloaf lunch with a salad and green beans and added mashed potatoes for 2 dollars extra. The salad was the best thing out of everything, but make sure you ask for bacon bits and tomatoes to be on it. I wish I had only gotten that, but to be fair everything was decent the green beans were really good, meatloaf not the best not the worst, mashed potatoes a little bland butter made it better. All and all will I be back, yes my husband really enjoys this place, and I like it also. Just wish the prices were a little better, but still a solid place. read more

I've been a customer for years and have never had a bad meal here. I was supprised to see some reviews that talked about poor food and service BUT your only as good as your last service. Try the BBQ plate it very good or go for the Chicken fries steak. We use to eat here regularly but they have changed their hours to lunch only except for weekends. Ordered the Monterrey chicken and salad and mashed potatoes. All good was good except mashed potatoes had a burnt taste. When waitress checked on us I told her about the mashed potatoes and she said she would let the cook know. About 10 minutes later she came to take our plate and we asked what he said. She then said oh I'll go tell the manager now. She never offered another side nor did she even tell the manager until we asked a second time. She was young and we tried to explain as a waitress what she should have done. She just got a smart attitude and walked off right in the middle of her speaking. Then she proceeded to make faces when she thought we were not looking. We asked for a manager. The manager was very nice and apologized. Just tired of young smart mouthed kids that do not take the customer service role in a job that is customer oriented. My husband, daughter, and myself got seriously sick after eating at the Terrell location. We each ordered something differently (lunch) and our food at that time seemed good. In hind sight we were all wishing that we had not waited for our table, especially knowing later what we would have to endure. That afternoon and evening was absolutely Miserable!! The first time we went we had to use google maps and even then we weren't quite sure if we were in the right place. The place is neat small but interesting. Southern cooking is what you'll get here. The servers are nice and the place is fairly quiet. The food is so good. They know what they're doing in that kitchen. Don't go to this place if you're on a diet! Will not come here again and we were getting a to-go about twice per month. The service is awful. Maddie is awful. I had to beg Maddie for rolls to go with our $50 ordr and she brings me 1 roll for 3 orders and no butter. Finally after a debate and pleading my case I got her to bring rolls and butter. I checked the boxes in the restaurant but it was very dark (and dusty) and couldn't tell thay my chicken-fried-chicken I ordered was actually chicken-fried-steak until I got home and cut into it. I called to let them know and Maddie told me it was NOT wrong and I had received what I ordered. After a 10 minute long arguement she agreed to remake it. She did not want to remake the mashed potatoes in the box, and thought it was reasonable for me to pull out the steak with my fingers and have them hand me chicken with their fingers and put it in the to-go box with cold potatoes. Really? That's unacceptable to expect after you've inconvenienced someone and their family that just spent $50 with you. All of the food got cold during all this. I find it unacceptable to pay $50 for mediocre food and spend the day making trips to this place and having multiple debates with a lazy, rude girl like Maddie with poor etiquette and a poor attitude and be told I am not going to get what I ordered and if I do, there's going to be a struggle. I had a 8 oz ribeye. It was just okay. Nothing too great. It was not thick at all, mediocrely tender, and surprisingly had little flavor. Not worth the $18.95 you spend on it. The atmosphere is like one of an old western bar. I think thats pretty cool. Not worth the money. I hate large corporation restaurants, but I would rather spend money at chili's than here. Cole Mountain thr place my family goes for a good home style meal. Their chicken fried steak and chicken fried chicken are flavorful. Their Cole Mountain chicken is always moist and delicious. Our favorite treat here is the pecan cobbler. Just look out for the manager. She forgets to run food and tends to be rude when you point out issues such as runny mashed potatoes. read more

I ordered a med. 8oz ribeye and baked potato. The steak was was $18 and was equivalent of what I would expect at Saltgrass or Texas Roadhouse. Good flavor and and value. Two of us ordered the sliced beef platter and the wives each ordered the loaded baked potato. Our friend forgot to tell the server he wanted no bbq sauce until the order arrived. He apologized and asked if he could exchange it. The server rolled her eyes and rudely stated "now it will just to waste and be fed to the dogs" before taking the plate back.
