What an absolute hidden gem in Mesquite!!! Mesquite isn't known to have the best dining options and the location is easy to dismiss as being good quality, but oh how wrong we have been! Seriously. 1) the service is top tier, super friendly AND it's all family operated 2) the meats were seasoned to perfection and you can tell immediately when you taste it that it was all marinated well and cooked with lots of love! They customize the meat to your liking in terms of cooking preferences without any commentary about the way YOU like your meat. This was big for me as a well-done only eater with texture preferences and not being patronized with sassy comments for my personal tastes when I'm paying for it. My partner likes his quite the opposite, more traditionally prepared, and they HAPPILY accommodated both of our preferences! We had picanha, ribeye, sirloin, garlic steak (forgot the cut), lamb and of course grilled pineapple. There were chicken and pork offerings too that we were too full to try. I didn't get lamb at first until my partner tried it and raved about it being sooo good. So I gave in and tried it and it was so bright with flavor like fresh lemon and herbs and was tender with no gamey aftertaste! It is indeed the best lamb we have ever tried to date. Please don't forget the chimichurri sauce from the salad bar to pair with your meats! It's so fresh and flavorful, perfect to set off the grilled charred meats. They give each of you a card for you to signal to the servers if you have the green side face up that you are ready for more, or flip it to red side face up to signal you are passing on being served more for the time being. 3) the salad bar at first glance looks small but it is mighty, packed with yummy options. I had potato salad, fresh beets, marinated cucumbers, olives, candied bacon. My partner had Cesar salad, tomato soup went nicely with the cheesy bread, and other things I cannot recall. There were more selections available that we didn't have room to try, but looked equally delicious and fresh. 4) they do serve wine and dranks if you imbibe. 5) they have done well with the ambiance and interior decor for the space that it is. I don't remember which day it is, but they also have live music there one day a week. 6) we paid $40/person all you can eat during dinner service. They offer lunch service M-F as well for $25/person - great deal! 7) we went the day after my partner's birthday and our waiter brought him a huge slice of cheesecake with Happy Birthday written on the plate - on the house! 8) please note they are closed on Mondays 9) they also offer catering services 10) this was the best Brazilian steakhouse experience that I have ever had personally, my partner agrees and we will definitely be back soon!! Ok. So we came back for dinner. Brought the fam and they loved it. And the food was as great as the first time. I only wish I could eat more haha ! Also, this time around we tried the RIBS, we didn't see them the first time. They are now my favorite! I definitely stalked the server with the ribs :D Service as great as the first time. We had an amazing time here. For me, a rating of 5 stars is saved for Michelin star rated locations - but I will make an exception here because they deserve it. This place is full of smiling faces from a wonderful staff. And yes the food is delicious. This is a quaint restaurant in a strip mall and has quality service and food that you would find at monster restaurant. It is family owned and they take pride in the business. I was looking for a steak restaurant while on a business trip and the options seemed to only be corporate restaurants. If you have the opportunity to eat at this place DO NOT skip. I was treated to dinner for my birthday at this restaurant everything was delicious just didn't care for the bacon wrapped chicken, because the chicken should have been frozen in order that when they cook it the bacon gets cooked and the chicken slowly Cooks the way they have it now the chicken is very dry by the time the bacon is cooked. I did go there a second time and forgot to use my coupon but my son and I went and the experience was better the staff was very attentive the hostess and everything kept checking to make sure everything was okay with customers checked back several times and just made sure we had everything we needed it was a very good experience and I recommend this place to anybody read more

Excellent local spot's take on the Brazilian steakhouse concept: like Fogo or Texas de Brazil they'll have a rotating server staff coming by to slice off delicious food for you. Ambiance: They would benefit from new pictures because the restaurant is actually much prettier than these pictures suggest - dim lighting, wine bottles cleverly used as decorations, etc. of course the space isn't that big and I had to sneak past people a couple times while waiters were slicing off meat, but then again you have the same experience at Fogo, which is typically a much bigger location with much more seating. So no points knocked there. On the whole the food is actually much tastier than Fogo, which we were able to compare/contrast nicely since we went there just the week prior. The garlic sirloin was overwhelmingly our most popular choice as well as the choice of the two tables nearby us. Don't sleep on the chicken however, and the grilled pineapple with sugar is super tasty as well. Salad bar equivalent was much smaller than Fogo's, but it's actually better. Not like that matters anyway, since the meat is the main attraction. Service was superb. We came in on a busy New Year's Eve with a reservation, and were able to be seated promptly. Staff was all super nice and friendly. You won't ever worry about the servers not attending to you, and one younger server was particularly diligent with our water refills. Thanks! Finally, value. The price is much better than Fogo's, and you're getting an overall better experience in exchange. You can bet that I left a nice tip! Overall an amazing, relatively lucky find. We came to this place because of the reviews, but not sure what to expect. We came for the lunch buffet and were happy with the meat and service. The sides weren't the best. The mashed potatoes were a little too mushy and seemed like they came from a box. Also, the bill was higher than expected with the lunch special. I wasn't given an option to see the itemized bill . I wasn't handed a card reader. I suspect the drinks (alcoholic) may have been overpriced. My first order just happened by chance . I saw an article on NewsBreak today about their upcoming move on July 12th to a different Mesquite location . I decided to see if they were on doordash since they aren't far from my home. I prefer to have my food delivered instead of me having to drive . I am a spoiled Queen . I ordered the bacon wrapped chicken sandwich, black beans , and strawberry cheesecake. My food arrived a little earlier than I requested always better to be early than late. Everything is a 10‼. At first I was disappointed with the thin slice of the strawberry cheesecake, but I cheered up when I remembered that cheesecakes are typically very rich, so I didn't need a larger slice. I also thought the dasher brought the wrong order to my home . Before I rave about the food, I have to compliment the staff on their hospitality. Every single one of them is fast, attentive and friendly. The place is small enough that they are on TOP of their service. You can hardly finish a bite before the next meat is brought over. My favorites have to be the lamb, spicy picanha and the honey cheese!! Their chimichurri is so damn delicious along with their grilled veggies and cheese bread. It's not often you have a meal of this quality! Chef Raul, and his family, are serving up great Brazilian-style foods for catering across the Metroplex at Espadas Brazilian TOGO. I was fortunate enough to be invited for a tasting and WOW, everything was off-the-charts delicious! I was uncertain what to exxpect because they don't have a large dining room, but they are so friendly and accommodating, and along with catering, they offer carry-out that includes sandwiches of all their delicious meats. My meal began with a very flavorful Caesar Salad with a fresh, house-made dressing and crisp Romaine, Parmesan and Seasoned Bread Crumbs, with Brazilian Bread Bites that are light, cheesy and chewy, and a refreshing glass of their Limonadas Estilo Brazil - which I would describe as a liquid Key Lime Pie. Then, a delicious plate of Garlic Mashed Potatoes and Grilled Vegetables which were grilled with Salt and Pepper in Garlic Olive Oil - simple and oh so good. Then comes what Brazilian food is known for - skewers of fresh, sizzling, delicious meats - which began with their classic Picanha, then Ribeye, Copacabana Sausage, Bacon-Wrapped Chicken, a little more Picanha, Chicken Leg, Grilled Pineapple and again, more Picanha and Ribeye! The beef is juicy and tender, with a nice crisp char on the outside, and don't be shy about the fat - it packs a flavor bomb in every bite! The sausage is good and the chicken very tender. The leg meat is absolutely incredible, so don't think, "oh it's a chicken leg, nothing special!" They serve a very good Chimichurri and Hot Sauces, which I tried, but used sparingly because I didn't want to cover the flavor of the meats. When I finally tapped-out, a fresh Flan arrived. FULL DISCLOSURE - I'm not normally a huge fan of flan, but this could change my mind. Firm but moist with rich caramel and custard flavors and something you really shouldn't deny yourself when you come to Espadas. I want to thank Chef Raul for inviting me. The Brazilian lemonade and Caipiriña, Vampiro were refreshing and mixed well, but the Brazilian flan was absolutely divine! I love desserts and have tried flan all over. Wow wow wow! This place I have to admit is by all my favorite taste of Brazilian cuisine in the Dallas area! The tenderness of the meat (picanha), the pao de queijo (the bread bites) took me back to my hometown in Brasilia. The hospitality is off the chain as well! I was in Mesquite for work during a weekday. I had looked up steaks, and I was scrolling through and spotted Espadas. A few days earlier I was talking with a colleague about a Brazilian steakhouse. I'm glad I stopped by Espadas. It's smaller than the main stream Brazilian steakhouse which I liked. The service was excellent and personable. As I was finishing eating the owner stopped by the table and we chatted for a few minutes. He made sure I was good, and he asked me how the food was. The food was excellent! It's a very friendly and hospitable environment. Anytime I'm in Mesquite I will come to Espadas and eat. The prices are way cheaper than the mainstream Brazilian steakhouses.
