I have been coming to Coles for over 10 years. I first found them after a terrible hair appointment at a different place and luckily this place was able to fix it! I've been a fan ever since! There is plenty of free parking and it's easy to book services over the phone. I normally switch up who I see, but I have had great experiences with everyone I have come into contact with! This place is clean and has an upscale feel to it! I normally get highlights and a cut. Typically it takes about 2 hours and I never feel rushed. Everyone is very friendly! I typically get to this Coke's Salon during the October but one, get one 50% off sale. Since I buy a ton of products, I called this time and asked if they could gather my order prior to me stopping in. They were happy to do that and it saved me a ton of time. I wish I didn't have to buy two of exactly the same product to get the sale, but it's better than no percent off. I really like the products I have purchased for myself and family members. I have been to this location three times and have seen Salena the esthetician all three times. She is amazing! My skin always feels great whenever I leave it's always glowing and I couldn't say enough about her I definitely recommend getting facials, derma planing and waxing done with her. Her recommendations are specifically detailed to your skincare needs and there is no extra fluff with her. She's very professional and thorough. The salon is also very nice. A friend recommend Cole's Salon, I had been looking for a nail tech & Masseuse. I checked in a the front desk with a young man, I waited about 10 mins after my appt time before asking how much longer. The ladies at the side desk apologized that I had been Forgotten and not checked in. The ladies assured me it wasn't Kamila's fault, which I completely understood. Kamila the nail tech was sweet, however the second day after getting my nails done the paint started to chip off On all the nails. So, I went back to Cole's Monday morning and spoke to Bethany, who agreed that the nails needed to be redone. Bethany explained that she would have Kamila call and squeeze me in. It's been a week, I have not received a call back. I'm disappointed I spent $65 for this. I went to another Salon who obviously fixed them. read more

Haven't had a bad haircut here yet, I don't go often because it's a little spendy but never getting a bad cut is incredibly important to me since I had a what you could call a traumatic experience when I was 12. The staff are always really friendly and deal with the fact I 99% of the time have one or both of my children with me when I manage to find time to get my hair cut. read more

Worst haircut in my 53 years!!! Cut off at least 8 inches of my hair- says would take too long to blow it and style it - although I was in her chair less than TWENTY MINUTES!!!!! Should have suspected an issue when I got a call back that I would have a different stylist because the original one was too far behind to cut my hair- but when I checked in miraculously she was caught up- hmmmm guessing she got caught up with my service - AND I PAID $61 JUST FOR THE HAIRCUT!!! Sooooo unprofessional to chop someone's hair off and say would take too long to dry and style my hair EVEN THOUGH that's what I asked for!!! It has taken me a couple of years to be able to write this review because I was so upset. I called Cole's salon and specifically asked for somebody that had a lot of experience with curly hair. I got a very nice stylist, however, it was very clear she had no experience with natural curly hair, she completely ruined my hair with thinning shears. I would highly recommend you educate your stylist on thinning shears--and don't use without the customer's consent. If you have natural curly hair, I would highly recommend that you do not use the salon they completely mislead me and destroyed my hair. I was able to find a REAL curly hair specialist at another salon. read more

I was at this salon in April. I am not at all happy with mu color. I tried to get in with Tara at Burnsville but she is booked to far out. Apple Valley said that they could not do anything because I was at EAGAN for my cut, color, and eyebrow wax. I am extremely frustrated and will need to find a new salon. No matter how much I explained and had two picture to show, My staylisit keep saying fabulous and did what she wanted to do.!!!! :-( THE RESULT..........my hair is shorter than my husband's hair in the back and feel awful about the way my hair looks now. when you have to use tones of products to make it stay the way you want (no chance), it means your hair cut is not good. A sweet sounding young woman named Emily answered and was nothing short of polite and respectful, while making sure to go the extra mile and more to answer all my questions and make me feel so comfortable. Really like the brand of color they use (Wella). My previous beautician moved away so I have been trying to get re-established with another. Two of the last four times I have been there I discovered that I was being charged for an additional service that I did not receive... which was explained away as an "honest mistake." Suggest you always review with your stylist and cashier exactly what you are being charged for. At best, their billing system is sloppy. read more

I went into the salon for a cut & color for the second time within a ten week span. The stylist I used did a amazing job. She was efficient & my hair looks nice. What is disappointing is December I paid $135.00 on January 23, 2013, I paid $148 not including tip. Appartently, Cole's Salon raised took a price increase on all their services to cover cost of providing health insurance to their employees. I called a few salons & it seems that Coles is the only Salon that raised their prices. I already pay for my own insurance & feel I can get a great hair cut & color elsewhere with out subsidy health care benefits for employees. With revenue over $14 million dollar, I can't understand why Cole's Salon would want their customers to pay for the employees health care benefits. I think I try Rocco who actually pays for health care benefits without making customer subsidy for his employees. I hear he appreciate the value of customer service & customer relationships. read more

I always have such a great experience here. I always go to the same ladies. Ashley Parshley does my hair. I've been going to her for years and before she was at Coles, then I followed her here. She knows what I like and goes awesome cuts and foils. She's fantastic with kids and kids cuts too! For my face, I see Kelly S. I usually do my brows and the classic or express facial. She is soooo nice and just had such a relaxing voice while she's yanking out my brows I would highly recommend both of those ladies and also anyone at Coles. read more

I've been here a few times, because it's close to my house. I have not yet gotten a good haircut here. I usually go to this salon when I am in a hurry to get my hair trimmed and am too lazy to drive to my normal salon in St. Paul. Recently, Katie did a terrible job on my hair. I gave her directions and told her how I wanted my haircut (especially my bangs trimmed). She didn't listen, and I ended up with a LOT thicker bangs than I wanted. They were shorter (a lot!) than I wanted, too. She seemed like she was in a big hurry to hack off my hair. I am counting the days until I've grown out that terrible hair cut enough to go back to a good salon and have it blended into a decent looking hairstyle. I will not be getting my hair cut at this salon again. They charge high-end prices, but have bargain basement skills. read more

Brazilian wax- I have been getting Brazilians for years now and have tried several different locations to get it done. My first experience at Coles was not so good. The woman was very nice but she did not know how to wax correctly. It was so much more painful than ever before and it irritated my skin significantly more than usual. Many ingrown hairs when I typically don't get them. Very disappointed for the $70 service. read more

I love coming here it's very beautiful! I like the stylist I have (Sarah) she is so helpful and is the only one who has ever done my bangs and had them look good. This salon is horrible. I initially went here to have a balayage coloring which cost me $100. It took her 2 1/2 hours and basically my hair didn't even change. So I called and told them I didn't get what I had asked for and I would like a more experienced person to do it. So I came in for my second appt 2 1/2 hours and it was another younger girl and she basically butchered my hair. She added way more blonde but it was super patchy and brassy in color so I called again and went back again. I spoke with 2 girls and they said my hair wouldn't be able to get to the blonde I wanted after the first 2 girls said it wouldn't be a problem at all. So I said lets just go back with it being shades of brown. After 3 hours my hair is now dark dark brown if not BLACK and has little tiny pieces of beige it looks horrible! I am 1 month from my wedding and my hair feels fried. I'm so upset that I ever even let these people touch my hair to begin with because its been a nightmare. I'm probably just going to have to fix it myself with a box color. read more

The stylist that colored and cut my hair did a fair job, but for $145 I was wanted my color & cut to look fabulous. She seem to be in a hurry to get my in & out of her station. I thought the women at the front desk lacked any type of training from greeting to processing credit cards. I did note that there was a price increase posted on the mirror while I was getting my hair colored. She stylist said it did not go into her pocket, but to help cover for health care benefits now being provided to employees. Oppps!!! That does not register well with me, I have to pay for more own insurance & now if I would ever choose to return to Coles any services a portion of the new price increases pays for their health insurance. My hair was over processed, the cut, well if you could call it a hair cut. I don't believe she may a snip a few of the damaged ends that were damaged during the processing of my hair. For $160 (which included the tip) I over paid for a medicore color job & trim. I was not acknowledged by the front desk, I was rushed through by the stylist like it was the Olympics of hair color coloring. Either I will do my own at home or find a salon where the price is half for a lot more service & the company does not pass the cost of health care on to it customers. Shame on you Coles. read more

Very annoyed after leaving Cole's following a perm consultation. I have been researching a lot about perms and different salons to get a perm and decided that my hometown AV cole's salon would be a safe bet. I called days in advance to schedule a perm with someone who is EXPERIENCED at giving perms, I was assured that the person helping me is one of their more experienced stylists. I walked in with pictures and rod-size preference but waited 20 minutes to meet my stylist, someone who had been there for a year and had to ask other stylists who "had experience giving perms" about my hair. ?? This led me to be very confused because when I scheduled my appointment I had expressed my concern to the Cole's staff about finding a stylist who had given perms before and was told that I would be getting someone who fit that description. I walked out after 5 minutes of being told that I could get a perm but what would be better is a "hair treatment and style instead!" Wow. Not happy. I've been thinking about getting a perm for years and finally decided to do it and that's the stylist who was supposed to help me? I'm so annoyed that I drove over 30 minutes to be matched with a stylist who had no experience. The least they could do was save me the time and give me the opportunity to call another salon who WOULD have someone experienced at giving perms instead of making me wait days for a trash appointment. read more
