We almost drove past the store as it is very unassuming on the outside. Inside is another matter. They have a wonderful selection, all well made and the salespeople/ owners are outstanding. No one in SW Florida should buy furniture without at least checking this place out, unless you want to spend money needlessly. Everyone there is helpful and tells me the truth about what i'm buying. On the other hand, I went to Kane's furniture and purchased a leather sectional that peeled apart in 6 months. I found out later that they had a class action lawsuit due to the sectional. I'll never go to Kane's again. We went back to furniture concepts and bought a leather living room set with power recliners. It has been over a year and not one issue in quality.

Finally, we ended up at Furniture Concept and felt we had found a group who planned to be honest and low-pressure. However, the customer service post-purchase is nothing short of a disappointment. Within two weeks our couch cushions were flattening on the corners and, unless you sat all the way on the back of the couch, you would slide right off slowly. Now nobody who sat on this couch weighs more than 200lbs so we know it was not "operator error". After getting tossed around between three people and leaving several "messages" about the problem, I finally went into the store. The fine gentleman who sold me the couch had the gall to actually tell me that he wouldn't have purchased that couch himself and that he tells his customers the same! After swearing up and down he didn't sell it to me (we consulted with BOTH salesmen the day we chose that couch), I was directed to take pictures of the problem since they're just the "middlemen" and would send them to the manufacturer's representative. Three weeks and several more unreturned messages later, I finally was told that there would be a shipment of replacement cushions that would be sent on the next shipment but that it wouldn't come in until December! As December rolled around, my calls were deflected and I was told the shipment still had not come in. I explained I had family visiting the week of Christmas and was assured the cushions would be in. Long story longer, the cushions never came until after New Years and THEY WERE NOT THE CUSHIONS I NEEDED OR SENT THEM PICTURES OF! I was told that they could do no more to help me and have not heard from them since. Summary: There are many furniture stores in Fort Myers that treat their customers the way they should be but FURNITURE CONCEPT IS NOT ONE OF THEM. Take warning if you plan to purchase here.
