I love this store, but you really need to know your prices. I have bought things there that were a deal and I would've paid more for it and then other things for the most part or overpriced unfortunately. Perfect example today there was a set of four glasses for $22. You can buy the same set with a variety of colors a set of six for $17 brand new. Just go and explore cause you'll find things there that you can't buy in the store and it's decorated pretty cute and the service is usually friendly. I can only talk about it from a purchase consumer standpoint, not a consigner standpoint. But I will continue to go back. read more

I went to an estate sale they were hosting over the weekend. I have to say it was one of the best estate sales I've ever been to! Everything was so well organized, all items had price tags on them and the prices were amazing. The owner Sarah was onsite the whole time and was an absolute pleasure to work with. Worth checking out. This consignment shop is on the smaller side but it's chock-full of things you just might want. The passageways are narrow, so take your time and take everything in as you navigate the space. The furniture here seems very nice to almost new. The home décor and art were tastefully displayed. There was a smaller amount of jewelry but what they had was interesting and tempted me, despite the fact I seldom bother with jewelry these days. There is an almost overwhelming amount of Women's clothing but it is displayed by size and easy to look through. This was my first time there but I doubt it's my last because I walked away with a feeling of satisfaction, having purchased a new-to-me handbag and a shirt for a very nice price. read more

This store is small, but artfully arranged. Items seem to be a bit more upscale that the lowly thrift stores. Furniture and decorative items will draw your attention and you will be surprised at the prices -- not bad at all. My girlfriend found two lovely tops and my husband found a hat that he had to have (but I might steal it from him!). Even the costume jewelry was the sort you might want to wear. It's definitely worth driving to this place. A small selection of clothes with some furniture inside (but supposedly a warehouse of furniture in the back) and some objects you could easily see fitting into your home. Out front was a rack of dollar items that we didn't get a chance to look through -- as a mother and daughter were busy checking everything out. They also have a frequent shopper card so if you buy something ask about it. Especially if you live in the area. The owner was a very personable lady with a sense of humor. You will like her. I'm New to the Cape Coral area and in searching to furnish my house, stumbled upon the House of Consignment and found it and the owner to be quite a treasure. There were all these nooks and crannies throughout the store and just when you thought you had seen all of Sarah's treasures, there was still more to be seen. Sarah had quality furniture and items in her store and the prices were reasonable I bought a fairly expensive beautiful dining room set that Sarah was willing to negotiate. Boy oh boy. Oh boy!! You've heard of buyer's remorse?? Well, I have seller's remorse. I'm from the Chicago area and we have family in the Cape Coral area. We came down back in October to I decided to bring a whole bunch of DESIGNERS clothing...Chico's. Cold Water Creek, etc...along with some jewelry items. I came in on a Saturday afternoon with my daughter in law. There was an older woman who was not the owner. She took a look at my stuff and said she would take it and the owner, Sarah would be the one who would tag it and price it. I was presented with the contract ...a generic style in which you read and initial each line and then sign at the bottom. Now. I read the part that said, NO CLOTHING ITEMS WILL BE RETURNED...ANYTHING NOT SOLD IS DONATED... but I guess it really didn't register with me. She asked me for a $3.00 fee to cover the cost of ink and paper??! And yet, they do not give out a copy of the contract...nor do they have an online site to look up your account to see what sold, or how much an item was priced at. I guess they do things a lot different in Chicago than Florida. I called weekly to see how much I made. After 60 days I only made $8.68????? I truly find that hard to believe. If this place really had a section for designer clothes, and not mixed up with regular clothing, I know my stuff could have sold. I trusted this place ....but I feel I got ripped off somehow. No copy of my contract...no list of what I brought in.. And the owner is too cheap to invest in an online software so a customer can look up their account ??! BE WARNED!!! read more

Some things are still fairly new, and others are only a decade or less in or out of vogue. others things are great estate pieces. There are many good, clean basics. like a full sized, comfy sofa. The store has a lot of things to choose from and is nicely appointed inside. But be forwarned if you want to put anything there on consignment; make sure you get a list of the items you take there before you leave. I had a very bad experience, being told one thing one day and another thing the next. Long story short, I didn't receive the itemized list and the owner got upset when I inquired about it, changed her mind and refused everything I brought over there. Since I was back home in another state by then and could not retrieve them, I lost everything. Plus I paid $3.00 for an initial contract, which should be legally binding. If I were a vindictive person I would probably have grounds for a legal suit. Instead, I am hoping to get the items donated and will just take a loss on them. read more
