As of today October 29, 2025 Baers Furniture Store in Naples FL and Baers Corporate office is not returning my calls. As of today, I have not been paid for an approved claim by Uniters, a protection plan company. As of today, I have made up my mind that I would never ever go back to Baers Furniture Store in Naples FL to buy anything. I spent well over $100,000 at the Baers Furniture Store in Naples Fl for my home. One of the protection plans that I bought was for an area rug that was approximately 20' x 20'. The Uniters protection plan was $2,000.00. The area rug was $10,000.00. The Uniters tech that was supposed to spot clean my rug due to a pet stain completely ruined my rug. Baers Furniture Store has not stood by their product. Uniters is not standing by their plan. The tech that Uniters, a protection plan, sent to my Naples home was supposed to simply spot clean my $10,000.00 area rug and the tech ruined it! I ordered a leather chair online for my parents and paid $100 for delivery. After one week of not hearing anything from them re: delivery date, I got through to a representative after 30mins on the phone, and finally scheduled the drop off. What my parents received was a completely different color from what I ordered. When I called to figure out what happened the Baer's representative was utterly disrespectful and rude. He told me "once it's delivered, it's yours." I explained their error in actually sending a different color, as well as the fact that their website documents a 2-week return policy (as long as it is not damaged). He eventually told me that the person who could make a decision was not there, but she would call me within 1-2 days. A week later no call. Despite the high cost of the chair, I can't imagine dealing with them again to try to resolve this. I ended up giving the chair away to someone else (who liked the different color). The customer service of Baer's is the worst I have ever experienced, leading a customer to essentially accept a different product that was ordered and paid for. I will never shop here again, and would warn anyone considering doing so to be careful. read more

Received a flyer in the mail for a huge overstock sale up to 80% off, so I decided to go check it out. Months earlier I had purchased 2 Natuzzi leather power reclining chairs they had issues and I returned both. The ticket price was $2499.00 each. Fast forward to yesterday and the sale, I saw the same chair and the the ticket price said "SALE $2499.00 regular price $4999.00. Shame on you Baers I will never shop here again. read more

I have only had my sofa and 2 chairs and ottomans for a few weeks and I am very happy with it so far. It had a few smudge marks from improper handling by delivery people but the tech came out the next week and got them all out. He was a very nice young man as was the head delivery person. My sales person was Ralph (Spots) and designer was Tory and I have no complaints. The only problem was getting the financing and payment figured out. First of all, Lauren Covell, our Design Consultant, was AMAZING! Our furniture adventure started when we came back into Baers because I couldn't stop thinking how perfect the "One of a Kind" storage cabinet would look in the living room of our new home. Lauren had given us her business card before we left and we came back 4 weeks later hoping to get it!!! After searching and hunting down the exact cabinet I took a picture of...she helped us find the perfect bedroom sets for our new house...all 4 of them!!! Besides dealing with Internet connectivity in the store which was an apparent burden to all the Baers sales team members that day who were jumping to computer to computer hoping it would work...she made our shopping experience fun, answered every question we had, followed up with texts/phone calls we made to her and addressed all of our concerns regarding availability in their stock along with confirming the delivery date we needed the furniture that was in stock to arrive. I am not done picking out home decor so I look forward to other pieces she is picking out for us to view for future purchases. Now...I must give some necessary compliments and kudos to The Delivery Service; why i didn't ask for their names?!! I don't know...I wish i did! Anyways...3 men arrived first thing in the morning at the worst possible time...it had just started down pouring rain. Not soft light rain...hard core drench you from head to toe in 30 seconds kind of rain!!!!! The road to our new home is narrow. I never gave that much thought UNTIL THE BAERS FURNITURE TRUCK SHOWED UP!!! The delivery men made the decision to back it all the way down the road...in reverse past 12 houses. One amazing driver with the other two guys guiding him back. We were simply in awe...and thankful...and grateful. Not once did they complain nor seem annoyed...instead they went to work. Up one floor, up two floors...they worked as team to creatively maneuver all 4 bedroom sets to each room! I have never seen such professionalism with such creative mindsets on how to get each piece safely put into each challenging area. We have only one regret....we didn't know if we could or should tip them. They never asked, and regrettably we didn't ask. I wish that would have been something that would have been shared with us because I still don't know what the proper etiquette is...so that is why I wanted to make sure I wrote a review. Buyer beware about the quality of the products and customer service. After 4 1/2 months, 1 swapped sofa and 4 service calls, maybe the 2 sofas are fixed, but I don't believe it. Too many service calls, and lack of concern. Although they promised to allow me to pick out new furniture and return the two sofas, they won't pick up the sofas until I select something else, stating that the sofas are already several months old. This does not make sense, and I have not found anything that I can test out in the showroom that I am interested in or need. I offered to pay for the shipping on any new items that I selected in the future, but they said no that is not how we do it. It seems they are hoping that I will forget about it and keep the existing sofas and they keep the money. I'm not forgetting about it, but I'm not buying from Baers again. An overall 2.5 star rating is not surprising and that is high. Today was a poor experience. The showroom is set up like a warehouse. Most furniture is at best mid-grade. No defining rooms just a lot of scattered furniture . When you walk in a salesperson approaches and when you say "just looking " they follow you like something stuck on your shoe. Annoying. Eventually we found a sofa and a couple of chairs. We are refreshing our residence with new bedrooms ,dining room and living room furniture. Interesting I overheard the sales pitch for a guarantee of repair or replacement and if you don't use the guarantee you get a gift certificate to use at a later date. How deceiving but as P.T Barnum once said "There's a sucker born every minute"and why would anyone with an IQ above 12 purchase such a gimmick. Anyway back to my experience , we returned to the store for a second time to purchase furniture but decided to just do a sofa today and another twenty or more pieces in the weeks to come. I was told if we did it all now we would save on shipping. I said SHIPPING there were signs this morning that stated free shipping and the response was that was yesterday. Come on. At that point I decided to try and find a somewhat ethical furniture store and told the very annoying individual I do not pay shipping. Remember I did not ask for any further discount than what was stated on the sofa, she could have said I'll cut the shipping charge in half. NOTHING. Keep in mind the ridiculous pricing as Retail Listed and Discounted--nobody should buy this gimmick.) So let me end, buy SC on line or go to Norris or Robb and Stucky --a bit higher but superior quality and professional .Ethen Allen is a bit higher quality than Baer and very professional. That's it. Spent $6,000 at a furniture store and you think the salesman would reach out to us letting us know when the shipment will arrive,but no. He promised it'd be delivered before Christmas and it's now the middle of January and he hasn't tried to contact us once!!! Beautiful furniture but terrible customer service. We purchased a living room sectional, sofa bed, dining table and chairs in July 2022 for our condo. We went back to New York and did not use the furniture that much. We returned for Christmas. Our daughter sat on the dining chair and fell , the chair leg broke in half. I called the sales person Leslie at the Ft Lauderdale store, to inform her of the problem. She said she will inform Customer Service. Following day I called Customer Service. She was rude and nasty. Told me she will send a Repair person in 6-8 weeks. We had never been to this Baer's location before and Richard P. gave us the 'grand tour' of this gigantic store. We were in need of a sectional, a coffee table, several end tables, and a bookcase for our library wall. Possibly one of those beautiful grandfather clocks if I can convince my wife that they are still in style. We were pleased to find out that Richard does interior design house-calls, at no charge. It's very coincidental that my experience is almost identical to the experiences of others who have purchased furniture from Baer's. In our particular case, we purchased two, $2000 recliners by IMG. After several uses, seating surface began to sag and leather became very wrinkled. When service came out to look at product, their response was, "there's nothing wrong with these chairs!......SOUND FAMILIAR??? Sorry Baer's. We have had a variety of leather sofas and chairs in our homes spanning 4 decades and we have never had leather chairs that have looked this bad. So now the question is! This store is all about the money. They are very expensive and do not stand by their merchandise. We bought over $13,000 worth of furniture and an area rug for $1500. Then later when we moved we bought another rug to match the previous one we purchased and this on was $1800. We also purchased warranties on all furniture and rugs. I called the store to tell them that the rug was not holding up and was told to file a claim. I did that only to have them deny the claim. I was told that it was normal wear and tear. I called Baer's again and Sevan who ran the rug dept said that the warranty dept had been denying claims and he would take care of it. I just had the rug cleaned and was told that in all of the years of cleaning carpet, he had never seen a rug do what ours did. We stopped in at 7:35 p.m. one night because we needed A LOT of furniture. The second we walked in, the individual made sure we knew that they were "closing." We knew we had 25 minutes, however, the individual was rude and more concern about getting out of there than helping us find what we wanted. With five minutes to go, the same person came upstairs and basically herded us out of the store. It was a horrible first experience and honestly, there are plenty of other places to shop. Purchased an $8,000 sectional sofa set about 2 years ago. One section was received damaged. Had to wait about 2 months time past Baers knowing of damage for someone to come out to home, review and authorize replacement of sectional piece. It's now a years time after Baers told us they ordered a replacement from the factory but the really bad news is that although I call Baers customer service line, leave a message to return call with my name and number, I have not either gotten thru or received a return call for months time. About 2 months time ago I called the corporate office and got a Ms. Baers on the phone. She told me she would look into the matter and get back to me. She never did and I call her about twide a week, phone not answered so I leave detailed message leaving my name and number. Not once have I received a return call. My husband and I bought several pieces of furniture; accessories, rugs and a bed spread. We spent thousands of dollars. I received a call from the financial person noting we had not paid for a bedspread. I pulled all of my receipts and of course if you look at how everything is written up by the sales person, you're lucky to decipher what is written down. In this store you don't walk out without having paid for everything. Their claim was "they" made an error and never charged us. Really and you discover this months later?! Due to all of our purchases and a few returns ( which was difficult beyond words as their motto all sales, no matter what are final ) I did my best to verify everything. I specifically remembered picking up the bedspread separately; our sales person Kelly Schad stood at the front door with me while my husband paid the balance due. However Baer's is stating due to their accounting error we never paid. I contested their error and now am being told it will go to a collection agency. This is the FIRST certified letter I have received and obviously my conversations with finance and our sales person went "unheard". I have worked with Robb and Stucky and they bend over backwards for their customers. It didn't matter what the situation was their golden standard is always- The Customer First-. I worked in medical sales my entire career; the faith and trust people put into you is worth more than anything in this world. Baer's standard with regards to customers is as low as it can go. We are retired and I don't need the threat of a collection agency coming after us on my shoulders. Horrible customer service! We bought a full dining set, full bedroom set with mattresses before the closing of our new home. Once we closed on our home, we arranged for delivery. We split delivery. Our first dining room table came badly damaged. We refused delivery and driver took pictures. Scratches on top and side of table was damaged. The driver handed me the phone and rep at Corp said someone would call with a resolution. The following day (since no one called) I called customer service. They said I had to wait 48 hours and then Concierge would call. No one would let me speak to Concierge or Mgr at the store. So in other words, Dont call us... we will call you. I spoke with our salesperson Lorraine and she kept repeating herself to call customer service. When I said "I guess you can't help us" she finally said she could send an email. Concierge finally called and we received our delivery and in good shape. We had previously asked to schedule our new bedroom set and mattresses the beginning of Dec as decided to get new carpet in our new home but Dec schedule was not set up yet. Office rep made notation that we paid for furniture and getting bedroom carpeted and planned for delivery Dec 4 Our sales person in Naples (Lorraine) even spoke with me regarding problem with table. I told her that we planned on Dec delivery for our bedroom set and mattresses. She never followed the order and when we went to Ft Myers to schedule delivery, we learned that our paid for furniture was allocated to another customer and now furniture is on back order until Jan.. No call... nothing! We are moving in Dec 10th and do not have a bedroom set. We cancelled our order and received full credit. I believe it would be courteous to call a customer before allocating furniture to some one else leaving us holding the bag. It would have been nice for customer service to call when table was delivered defective and apologize ... set expectations such as we need to inspect the piece etc etc. It would have been nice for someone to call and tell us Dec schedule was available. In fact I had already narrowed down my two favorite pieces, and priced them out, from the website before arriving to not waste time.
